Some people seem to think this video is a guide on how to be optimal using the bow or how to get the best damage out of the bow. This video is just tips on using the weapon. Many people have argued about using the dragon piercer. I agree with not using the dragon piercer if you want to maximise on damage but if you wanna have fun with the weapon then use it. As you can maybe tell, I like using it so I guess it's personal preference. Have fun with whatever you want.

This video is probably one of the best Bow guide I've seen so far. Other videos tell about bonus damage and such instead of telling you how to actually hunt with bow.

It's pretty good at stunning enemies and can easily be abused to never let the monster breath. I used to spam it until my friend got pissed and told me to stop doing it, thats when I found out it stuns people and I stopped doing it. So either they didn't know or they are really trying to stun/tire out the enemy. Wish they could take that off with that one specific move though, makes it a solo only move as on the very few times I do use it with others they will run straight into it. On the flipside, stop hitting me when I am clearly charging up my perfectly lined up piercing shot! I know you guys wanna be right where I am but that move has to line up the end of the head to the end of the tail and that shot takes a ton of commitment as I have to charge my bow all the way up to my 3rd charge, then initiate the charge shot with a long charge time only to be ruined by some dude who thinks his little poke will do better at the exact spot that I'm standing lol.

Lance was my 1st weapon, but I switched to the bow because I got tired of sharpening it. I just introduced my daughter to the game. She chose lance as her 1st weapon. I'm not going to influence her decision, but I think she would be happier with a bow. Already she is seeing that its hard to sharpen while a monster is on you (unless you use the fish scale).
It depends on if you're struggling with fighting Rathian or not. If you're struggling and you need an upgrade, you can go for it. Just know there's way better weapons than a diablos bow in the later game.
@@ShortD3vil well at the moment now I’m tryna farm barroth to bone m for me to upgrade to Diablos what’s a good charm for a bow I’m tryna go for some to help with my damage are get crit more often
If you're early in the game, it doesn't matter too much about the charm that you use, in my opinion. But if you're thinking of a long term investment, I would recommend the fitness charm (which gives the constitution skill), the surge charm (which gives you stamina surge) or the leaping charm (which gives evade extender). This is all dependent on whatever skills you already have and maybe you wanna swap around charms later on because of the armor or decorations you get later down the line.
Those arc shot tips are iffy bud. No offense but if you spam it and your playing multiplayer you are guaranteed to annoy your teammates pretty much every bow attack trips your teammates it can be pretty bad. Now I dont play bow that often so I dont know the buttons for it exactly but if you hold down the b button before you fire it you can aim it and the best way to utilize it is while the monster is stunned or paralyzed. Basically while the monster cant move. That being said if you have a teammate that uses a hammer or another blunt weapon like hunting horn just dont use that attack For stamina management there's dash juice for a reason on top of that use the skill constitution it lowers the stamina drain for dashing. Dragon piercer shouldn't be used unless your at endgame and have a build around it. The "best" single attack would be thousand dragons with piercing pods it can easily out damage dragon piercer with limited skills Also there is one skill that is completely mandatory on bow in really no situation should you not have it on unless you just straight up dont have it. It's the bow charge plus jewel as it says it gives you one extra charge on bow and it is way to good to not use its basically an immediate buff to your dps on bow.
Yes, I can agree. There are different strategies when soloing compared to playing as a team. If you are all bow-wielders (or long range in general), then you can use the circle/B button stun attack. However, if you are playing with any melee players DO NOT STUN. You will flinch your teammates and they'll get smacked around by the monster. Exception: If you have a mic, you can let your teammates know in advance that you're about to do it. There may be times where they want you to flinch the monster (such as if they need to sharpen their weapon or heal).

Bow and dual blades feels like it's underperforming compared to other weapons because when you use them, you need to add skill like constitution, stamina surge, ect, while other weapons can simply maximize their attack skill. Edit: oh, and you need to have a right distance between you and the monster to deliver highest damage, i forgot what's it called. In the older gen, people who called bow has no damage is because they simply didn't know the bow distance, it's different for every bow attack type. I don't know why you didn't mention it on your video.
