Love the details here. Getting back to bow since starting the game last month after going to dual swords, long sword and hammer for a bit. Working on dragon bow rank 10 currently. Can’t wait to see the dmg jump from low rank

Time to finally try the Bow in World, freaking excited for the journey since is a completely new weapon and playstyle for me, I play GS and IS the most. Rise can wait a bit longer :)

I dont know if it's a new thing, I'm very new to the game but you can hold left click and charge your bow while moving. Just dont click the aim and you move at normal speed. Then when you're repositioned you just aim with that full charge sexyness and boop
I don‘t know the key or mouse combination on the pc, but the bow has an additional mount attack. It‘s quite nice:)
What is it on console?

On PC it’s dash, then coat apply during it
Does a lunging melee strike that does mount damage

Great video bud. Quick question... I have most of the old kulve bows, should i upgrade them insted of using the iceborn bows like Tobi ect?
Absolutely! The kjarr bows are super worth it! Even the Taroth are pretty decent too :)
@@SkySenseiVB what about safi vs kjarr? 🤗
@@beinion94 For Bow, Safi isn't the best just because it has low element damage. I would use the Safi armour though - thats the best for Bows. Combine that with Kjarr for max damage :)

Only kjarr bow im missing is the spark, but ive heard that taroth might be a better option, what Are your thought?
@@SkySenseiVB Safi bows are much better for damage and have status effects with enough grinding. U can get almost all status arrows on each bow and augment the element easily.
FATALIS bow cannot augment custum upgrade ?
I'm still trying to understand how different bows effect different coatings and can't find somewhere/someone to explain this
I get it that if the coating is in red text i cant use it, but what does it mean if the coating is green? Is it more powerful? And what does it mean when there is a little + sign close to it? Does it mean I get to carry more cause of the bow I'm using? Anyone knows?
Just dropping by here in case you still don't have an answer to this, basically bow coatings with a green color on them means you can use them with your chosen bow, the plus sign beside the coating means that coating gets boosted status damage.
Idk the math but in older games it gave 50% boosted status damage.

Simplest fix. ALWAYS carry a pocket full of all arrow types. Each bow u have will be able to use different types of arrows and doing this will easily show u which arrow that bow uses. (Ex. My the "Mist Glacia" bow can use power, poison, and sleep coating. When carrying all arrow types out in the field, u will only see power, poison, and sleep options)
How do I use coating on pc? Seriously not one video on youtube tells me.

08:45 on the rapid combo, why does it say to shoot 3x rapid? it takes me out of the increased damage powershot
Bow charge+ skill gives a 4th charge level, which allows for 3x rapid. Without skill, this goes down to 2x rapid
What do you mean by quick shot? Is it just R2 on PlayStation? I only see the rapid shot and the 0 or charge shot.
Quick shot is the first O attack, rapid is R2.
0.37 you have aim bow on side mouse? is it a side mouse button?
Yups! Just makes it easier for me to aim.
This may be a silly question, but what are the keybinds for the item menu? I have to hold down Q to scroll through my item menu and it's very Inconvenient, I'd rather have to do so for the coatings but I'm not exactly sure how to change the keybinds according to what I want. Is it something I just need to get used to? Do note that my keybinds are very different than yours, would that have something to do with it? Sorry if this is a rather obvious question, not too great at managing keybinds and such :')

@Black Willow Sorry for the delay! YES YOU CAN CHANGE IT! Firstly definitely not a stupid question! Honestly it was annoying for me as well and I never looked into it until you asked so THANK YOU!!!
So yes you can actually switch them! imgur.com/a/3XqY5yk This link shows the stuff you need to change. Its the browse items and browse coating ONLY! Be Careful not to change the "browse items and coatings (when items are displayed)" To make sure you're doing it right, the browse items by default will be left and right keyboard controls. Just simply switch the browse items to the scroll up and down, switch the browse coatings to left and right keyboard.
Once you make this change, you'll be set. You can scroll in battle across items and then if you hold Q - you can scroll coatings! Have fun !!
@@SkySenseiVB Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Don't worry about the delay. The bow is a really fun weapon, just kinda tricky to get around the differences you have to have between it and melee weapons in terms of keybinds hahaha

Do "spread shots/power shots" affect the elemental damage or only the raw damage of the bow?
They do inflict element dmg if thats what you're asking here. At higher charge levels, they also deal more dmg which is why ending combos with power shots is always a better idea :)
@@SkySenseiVB Ok so it's always worth to use those in elemental bow builds, where as a deco like "crit damage" isn't priority since it only works on physical dmg right?

@@zekky1000 Don't apologize! Totally fair to ask questions :) So yes! Crit dmg doesn't affect element. Instead what you want is Crit Element! There's another skill and that comes with Rathalo or Velkhana (IB) Armour. So once you have your modifiers for element, then build raw which ideally is crit dmg and rapid shots. For most bow builds, you want one rapid and one power since you use both in combos. :)
@@SkySenseiVB Awesome, tyvm! Atm I've unlocked a set that has the "True Crit Element" with Silver rathalos pieces but it doesn't come from silver rathalos since i yet have to fight one lol
I'm guessing to go with some combo of this armor and the actual silver rathalos one combining the best of both!
Coming from GS elemental damage was arcane knowledge to me lol

Far as I know, isn't dragon piercer the only way to deal sever damage with a bow?
It's actually pretty useless in comparison. Long load/recover animation and limited aim. If monster moves, u miss and you're stuck for a second. Better off dashing around.
Wouldnt kjar + namielle end up beating silver rathalos + taroth?
Doesn't Constitution Lv2 and Dash Juice get you to 45%?
I believe it's around 40% according to the mhw math pros. Cons 3 and dash juice is 47.5% which is one meta :)

As a noob here im like, whats a fucking build?
1. Your keybinds are confusing. I came to learn the keybinds for some of the never-on-screen abilities, but there's seven steps of translations from what you have on screen to the default controls.
2. Can't see stamina under the on-screen text. HUGE, obvious problem.

Just like MH itself, so complicated. Why couldn't Capcom just SHOW to the new players how to play their game, use all weapons and combos properly?
Just have to go into the training area. Plus, every hunt is a learning experience. You don’t need to be a master to defeat a great jagras with the bow. You’ll figure it out as you progress and fight more difficult monsters
Why can't anyone just play on Pc
It's more flexible especially for Bow/Bow gun users
Because it's not hard with a controller unless you're bad at the game.
