“If you have to work too hard you are doing something wrong” you were so right, thank you for the helpful video. Worked so easily after I struggled so much.
I am so happy to have found your video. I just got off the phone with Ring customer service. I stayed on the phone with him for 46 minutes. He told me to push the sides, as you know it didn't work. I felt like I was the one in the wrong and a little crazy. Mr. Gitts you are my light tonight. I took off the faceplate in a second after following your instructions. I am going to call customer service back and let them know that they are giving the wrong advice.
Thank you so much, hubby normally takes care of this but since his stroke, I’m finding that I need people like you to help me do his work. Very helpful.
I have to watch your video each and every time I have to charge my ring. I’m saving it, book marking it so I have for the next time. thank you for the perfect video.
We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
Your ring doorbell may have a small screw at the bottom which requires the special orange tool that was part of your ring doorbell kit ( Which you hopefully will be able to find tucked in some drawer after two hours of searching.)
Takes quite a bit of force to take mine out but double check and make sure you still don’t have the screw at the bottom, then try hold the top of the camera and gently push the bottom part upwards. Hope it works for you
Yes, thank you for sharing Frank. The screw makes it a little harder for someone to take your battery. I left mine off for convenience but it's helpful to install it for additional security

So can you just buy extra batteries? I think I might do that to switch them out
Sorry for delayed response. Yes you can get additional batteries, that way you have it always on even when charging
THANK YOU!!
Top man

I did as he said but my whole doorbell came off. Only wanted to remove the battery as he did.

How long does the battery last?
If I have motion alerts on, it will last 8-10 weeks
@@danygits that’s a long time..Great 👍😎🙌!!!
Thanks!!
Now a burglar knows how to disconnect it,great job UA-cam.
Thanks for the laugh 🙂 I doubt a burglar needs my tutorial
However there’s a screw that requires the special tool that came in your ring doorbell kit for later generations off the ring doorbell.
