I cannot thank you enough. Every video I was watching was telling me to use a little tool on the bottom. Other people were telling me to squeeze on the sides and the instructions. I was about to cry I was getting so angry. I decided to look at UA-cam and found your video first and You saved the day! Thank you! It’s people like you that make me love UA-cam.
You're welcome! I know exactly how you feel, lol. I felt the same way the 1st time I tried to do it and made this video right after, lol I'm so glad I could help!
Bless You!!! The Ring website gave zero results for "open battery compartment" or "how to open ring doorbell battery" and YOU did it quickly and simply and a great explanation and video. THANK YOU!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. We've had our Ring for 5 months now and every month when I go to recharge the battery I struggle and fumble to get the cover off. No more thanks to your video.
Thanks for making this video because thanks to this video I already know whether or not you can ring the doorbell when I move, which is something I needed, and for that now I am very grateful and, best of all, it worked for me.
Thanks for the video, that is a great help. Spent a lot of time to remove it. The company should include this instruction on their manual. I was almost to return the product, but your video simplify my life.
Thank you so much!!! Every other Google search for changing the battery says to remove a screw and my mom's doesn't have one! She'd done it before without a screwdriver but forgot.
Can you show what the bottom looks like after you remove the cover? My Ring 2 has the speaker on the bottom and I notice your Ring has the speaker on the side. I would have to take the Ring off the mounting plate to recharge the battery and during that time I have no recordings. I even tried to remove the battery by following the instructions on the Ring app with no luck.
I’ve tried everything trying to get the cover off. Mine has two screws on the bottom. I still can’t get it off. I’m 80 years old so I’m not very strong. You make it look so easy.😢
I’ve been doing it wrong the whole time? I would remove the entire ring device off of the mount thingy just to charge it! And I come across your video and you tell me that I can just remove the battery just like that! Huh, you learn something new everyday!
Awesome! Glad I can help! I had the same problem when I first bought it they make it really complicated probably on purpose so that nobody can steal your doorbell or your battery ;-) glad I can help!
Mine has a tiny screw at the bottom. I had to remove that first. Then to get the battery out it was so hard like it was stuck. Your's came out so easy. Ugh
I discovered that the safety screw needs to be removed on my model. It has a star head. If you have this screw and do not remove it, you will break the cover.
Jeez, all these worthless videos and directions with no help and your easy walk though of it sis the trick. I work IT and could have forced it, but I'd rather not do it improper after spending 160 bucks and break it. Thank you.

This saved my life. It’s so simple but this video was so necessary.
Glad I could help! I know how you feel that's why I made the video I felt the same way when trying to take the battery out at 1st lol
Very glad I watched this video before breaking it by pulling on the sides. Thank you.
I thought you had to unscrew it and take the whole thing out
You're welcome!!

Happy I found this. Just wish I had found it sooner, before getting frustrated and trying to open the case with a butter knife, lol.

Is it the same process for ring doorbell 4? Thanks for this video I just bought my ring😀
Not sure but you can try it. Wish I could answer definitely. I do not have the ring 4. But hope you are able to figure it out. 🤘

Thank you. The video was very helpful.
Thank you so very much for this video!!!
The video is helpful, but I'll bet anyone who gave it a thumbs down did so because it is so dark.
Glad I could help!!

Thank you! Geez, I about broke the thing!

Vocab: a circular thing that sticks out is known as a cylinder. Secondly, it's actually a star driver screw head, at least on my model.
Thank you
Youre welcome!
That works. Thanks

Thank You soooooo much

You're welcome!!
I have the Ring 2 and I can’t find any button
Yours has a screw (star bit).
This method didn't work for me, so I used a knife and popped it off.
Thanks though!
Thanks!!! They do not include instructions and it is so not intuitive.
Thank You. I almost smashed mine.....
Lol I feel ya
