One of the best teams. The lead singer is unbelievable.
That voice was a shocker...and I love it! They sound so tight, yet you tell me they often receive their parts separately, and only come together hours before performing. Just amazing.
To be specific they all learn their pieces individually, then have two and a half days to gel as a band before going on tour.
What 9 hard-asses gave this a thumbs a down?! You realize these are high school kids, right? They did a phenomenal job on a very hard-to-sing Heart song!

man i never get disapointed on the school of rock just when i thought it couldnt get any meeaner and bad ass you guys do this. heart ann wilson is the queen of rock. actually her and janis but man they killed it girls got soul and love the harmonys, drummer is pretty bad ass to.

Well, for one the lead singer and the the lead guitarist aren't fighting over what the singer's husband said about the guitarist's kid.
+MidWest Concert Video Nancy broke up with Roger Fisher (lead guitar )To date Michael Derosir) (Drummer) who didn't want her. Ann broke up with the manager (Roger's brother )..They were a great band before that. These kids are incredible. And what you are doing for them is great. I know you're not doing it to get rich. You're doing it for the love of music and the kids. Maybe when they make it. They will remember you and your wife. You do a great job. With little pay. We all thank you for the gift of this music. Ramble On.

First I've heard Dakota Cohen, wow, no question she has a future in music if she wants it. Drums and bass on this cut particularly tight , great pocket, esp for their age/experience levels. Fun cover! Good work!

This particular group? No, as it is composed of young musicians from all over the world. But every one of the more than 200 School of Rock locations has a "House Band", and they are the source of all these players. Visit SchoolofRock.com to find one near you, and call them. The music directors are always looking for gigs for their House Band.

My thumbs up is solely for the drummer. He was exceptional. Thank you for playing exactly what the song called for. No more..no less. The rest of the instrumentalists were good as well. The singing was painful.
You're right on everything except the vocalist. I was knocked out by her, which is why I put this video up.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 I respect your opinion but her pitch is all over the place, she is sliding into notes instead of just hitting them directly, and she doesn't understand the style. We can disagree. It's ok...and still be civil.

@@MidWestConcertVideo2 as a drummer of 47 years I was very impressed with the younger drummer. His feel and stylist interpretation was very strong. I have heard more drummers ruin Heart songs than almost any band (Led Zeppelin takes the crown in that department). And funny thing...original Heart drummer Michael DeRoiser is a very much like John Bonham and that gave those classic Heart songs a very special foundation.
As a former vocalist myself I am very impressed with Dakota's voice and style. It takes real guts to cover Ann's vocals.
