madmaxusa1 I’ll second that, my friend. This band’s Steamboat Annie is a classic by any standard and at every level of the recording. They have played this live for 42 years, always just as exciting as the record, which has to be one of the best engineered rock recordings ever. To me, the 1976 vinyl original sounded like one of those meticulous audiophile productions that you can find on UA-cam that have such outstanding sound even though the ultra-engineered source is crammed and diluted into a 128 kilobits per second stream. My research states that Crazy on You was Heart’s first single off the debut album, which surprised me because I first became aware of Heart by hearing Magic Man in frequent rotation on FM stations in the NYC area. I bought Tugboat Annie immediately after hearing Magic Man’s astonishing vocals and musicianship, so this is my 42nd year as a loyal fan of the band in studio or live. I also learned this evening that Nancy’s subtly changing intro has its own title, namely “Silver Wheels”, and that Nancy has said that her furiously strummed second part of the intro was inspired by the Moody Blues song “Question”, which seems obvious now that I know it. Finally, Heart’s live performances have been enriched with phenomenal covers of songs by their peers, and if ever called upon to do so, I would testify under oath that Heart is the greatest live performer of classic Led Zeppelin hits, arguably better than Zep, at least in the post-Bonham lineups. I'm so going to steal the 2nd part of your comment I never heard it put better, it covers so many things.. Comment is 💯% LEGEND...

@@rmcq1999honestly this is really ignorant… you CANNOT disregard her cultural impact
Ann’s still killing it after all these years. Amazing voice. Love this band. Watching it makes me empowered. 💪🏼❤️🙌🏼
You go girl!!! Even though I am a man... it strikes deep in to the woman within me! FYI: I am not gay... but am I not permitted to have these feelings as a heterosexual man?
@daAnder71 Everybody isn't built the same
@@michaelbstewart8892 little late, but hell yeah you’re allowed that! Thank you! This intro is what got me wanting to play guitar as a teenager
Roger Fisher is a legend. So full of energy, and he gives it back to his audience.
Ann's voice is incredible - range, projection, volume and vibrato have ALWAYS been so exceptional. Nancy is also great on guitar and vocals.
若い頃も素敵でしたが、年齢を重ね歌にも演奏にも深みが増してさらにファンになりました❣️Heart大好きです❤️
Nancy Wilson.... The coolest smoothest leg kickin guitar woman of rock. She's simply awesome!
Definitely awesome 👍
And when she wears a dress the people in the front row get an extra show
The best female rockers of all time!! Ann Wilson is one of the strongest rock n' roll voices (men included) of all time. No joke!!!! Proud to be from Seattle...Heart and the Seahawks baby!
Seattle's Alice in Chains is even there too! Jerry is playing guitar on the far side!
The times I've been to EMP Heart barely gets a mention. Ticks me off.
How do 700+ people thumbs down this. Jeez that leg kick is worth a like. Amazing talent
Ann and Nancy Wilson ARE THE UNDISPUTED QUEENS OF ROCK AND ROLL
This is the first time I've seen the original members back with Ann and Nancy Rodger Fisher is absolutely awesome on guitar!!!
“That girl on guitar is majorly hot, and SHREDDING! Who is she?”
“Dude... that’s my Grandma...”
Lol damn right..ole grannie Nancy be knowing some guitar
Nancy Wilson, she and her sister Ann joined the band in '73, they became the 'face' of Heart as a band
5 Guys Named Moe , ohhhhhh... THAT Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart.
I thought it was a totally different Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart.
It makes sense, now. I was really amazed that there could be ANOTHER Nancy Wilson who had a sister named Ann, in another band called Heart, who could play this intro dead solid perfect down to the little kick.
@@MSWSB my bad, missed the sarcasm
5 Guys Named Moe , you’ve done nothing wrong. I’m an incurable wise ass.
Now kids, these two women are the best Rock and Roll Female Band. The Wilson sisters were amazing!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm very pleased to know I'm not the only one that loves😊😊the song but when last did you play it.
So pretty tell me where in this beautiful world 🌍 are you from.

Ann has a voice that cannot ever be replaced and Nancy has the guitar covered.
yea Highsckool 78, smoking bad weed and listening to HEART.
Anonnynonny
There was NO bad weed, only bad company.
I don’t care what anyone says these ladies are still beautiful! Ann’s powerful voice and Nancy’s energetic guitar playing never get old
the original rock babes with the talent to back it up
Great to see Roger Fisher having such a good time! He's a truly good dude.
Ann Wilson: Still Making Today's Female singers sound foolish.
+Avl Shukla
She has preserved and still uses her voice with full range and throttle.
Incredible musicians.
+Avl Shukla sound foolish would be the appropriate phrase
+Avl Shukla What are you? A Fucking 13 Year Old TROLL? You Idiot!
Biloxi Cub Stephen Troll? REALLY IDIOT?
Who is sounding like a 13 years old?
Both phrases are acceptable, stop ragging on the kid for being correct.
I dont care what anyone has to say.her voice is as strong as ots ever been.she id amazing perhaps the best in rock as far as the ladies go.with exception Joplin n a few others but she is just as good as any of them badass
Both Ann and Nancy are immense.
Nancy...hottest 60 year old I've seen!
@@ChaoticAtmosphere Calm down, Chaotic! :'D
You type that from the Nursing Home bingo hall?
Hey, She's my girl.
I'm with you there!
Poolshooter “KICK ASS LADIES!!!”
and that high kick after all these years still gives me chills
Heart forever! Rock always! Thank you sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson for you have existed!
Still one of the hardest hitting songs ever recorded
The Hardest Hitting Song ever recorded (Live).
God, Nancy looks better now than see did 37 years ago! :) MAGIC WOMEN OF ROCK
@Return of the Native Maybe by watching videos on youtube, just a guess. 🤓
She’s beautiful.....
@Return of the Native shut up
Amazing
No she doesn't lmao just watch 1977 live
Nancy was 59 at this point.,...how awesome is this. Ann was 63... talk about longevity and taking care of your vocals.
I absolutely think HEART needs a REUNION with the original band members make it happen ladies gosh that would be so freaking awesome love love ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️fan 4 life
Roger Fisher's showmanship is amazing!
Yes it is!!
Nancy is one of the greatest female guitarists ever. Rock on Nancy.🎶
She sure rocks out.🎶
Hey young people. This is what you call talent.
I want THIS band back together! The current line up is good but with Fisher, Fossen, Derosier, & Lease the band is in the stratosphere!!!!!
Nancy Wilson is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time.
Scott Murphy What about this "underrated" crap?
@Scott Murphy I think he is agreeing with you that she isn't underrated....
Heart is the Female version of Led Zeppelin 👩🎤
The Best Female Band Ever...
This is Music.
Nancy Wilson is so awesome. My mad crush since the 70s. I guess I’ll just have to be happy to have lived under the same stars as her.
Ann sounds amazing!!
Yes amazing! After 40 years totally no difference in her voice! And Nancy on the guitar, awesome!
This is what music is! They are as awesome here as in the 70's..and are still in 2019!!
No doubt, these two ladies can still rock it.
If anything . Better!
Roger mf'n Fisher! Dude is a legend on guitar
Nancy's guitar intro- it's just amazing. Just literally a few notes in and you know what it is! The Wilson sisters are amazing.
All you need to see is the folk guitar coming on stage
Brilliant! The boys are so energized, Howard is a cool, distinguished older gent, and the women are better than ever! They lasted when a lot of bands didn't. They are so damn good at what they do...
Howard Leese is a massive talent. Wrote and arranged so many of their later 80s and 90s riffs and solos.
They never fell out with Howard, AFAIK.
@@N1120A That's right, in 1998 Heart was on hiatus because Nancy took a break to raise her family, and Howard got an offer to play with Paul Rodgers so he left. He was in the band for so long he even actually played with the modern lineup's drummer, Ben Smith. Howard is still friends with the sisters and during Ann's acceptance speech you can see Howard hugging Nancy in the background.
This was amazing. Might be the last time we ever see Ann, Nancy, Leese, Derosier, Fisher & Fossen on stage together.
M Ross sad but true 🙁
Nancy Wilson is probably my favorite guitarist.
I’m still in love with Ann Wilson. 🥰. That voice and beauty. Omg
I had not ever been into hard rock--but this song by Heart changed that--the combo of Nancy's guitar & Ann's vocals made me an instant fan.
I've always loved heart. It's great to watch Nancy jumping up and down like she's in a punk band in the 70s. Awesome.
I have to wonder, after everything they went through together, if it didn't feel at least a little good, a little powerful, a little poignant, a little profound, a little satisfying ... to have the original band back together again for just one moment.
No, Ann wanted the original guys to be 'backing musicians' and was pissed at Roger (03:14) for not doing so.
Yeah, I wonder. You can tell the guys are thrilled.
Why do I have a huge lump in my throat. The Wilson sisters still move me.
Anne‘s voice is unrivaled in rock history, what a great performance.
That 70s lineup was soooo good. At about 4:10 when Roger and Howard are back to back there is a cool smile on Ann’s face. Loved that whole performance
She could have had the original band back at anytime she liked. She choose not to.
@@mipackereh, Roger made his bed
Her voice is incredible!! Sounds like herself from 77
Well done Ann, some singers never lose it!

That intro from Nancy makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up..Wow..just WoW
