"Don't just go through the motion. Put something behind those punches." I needed to hear that today! Doing this as part of the deload week and this week has been so good for me. Using lighter weights has made me more intentional with my movement. I feel like so often, in my workouts, I just go through the motions. But this week, I think I have been more sore with lighter weights because I have just been more intentional with my moves! Thank you Lindsey!
This was such a burner! I loved the burnout moves in between circuits. Strict sets is one of my favorite formats so this was a great start to my morning. Formal request for the next arm workout to start with back because my shoulders and biceps were too fatigued to lift heavy for my back. Also I loved how Rachel looked like she was dancing with the shoulder burnout move! Made me smile through the pain!
Same! I couldn’t lift as heavy as I normally do for back by the time we got to it. I also had to take push-ups to an incline because my arms were too fatigued to do the standard version. I was finding I had to extend the rest time by ~15-secs. in order to lift heavier. Still thankful for the workout, just relating and sharing some feedback.
I also love the mobility added to the workout! This was a great arm one. I also love the 15 min one Rachel talks about, that one is such a quick burnout!
I love love love strict sets! Such a great way to mix up the workouts but also even though they are hard, they feel less hard mentally than a cardio or hiit workout.

Gosh, it just occurred to me, Rachel has my dream job! Used NML throughout my pregnancy and now postpartum. At 42 years old, I am back at my pre pregnancy weight at 16 weeks PP and my sciatic and SPD pain are gone. So grateful for all of this programming.

Not gonna lie.. I had squinty eyes starting at the 2nd rep of the workout! Absolutely loved the gorilla back rows (is that what you called them???) & the biceps move! Some days good ‘ole strength training feels SO good.
I have a love hate relationship with strict sets. Feels so good to be on the other side of that workout! I lifted heavy and feel good, so squinty eyes!
So sorry to hear about your knee injury - prayers for a speedy recovery! It took me 9-12 months to feel! Hang in there - continue showing up and doing your PT!!
I'm doing your deload week calendar after doing the 2 week challenge twice! My 5 and 6 year old boy and girl have been keeping me accountable, they have their own weights and did a lot of it with me, and are now begging to deload with me!
What a great way of targeting every muscle in the upper body! Those skull crushers with the hold and that burn out move were my favourite!! They should be included if you ever refilm the tricep burn out workout... actually maybe not... can you imagine trying to do that after tricep push ups and the side lying body weight tricep press... 🍌🍌🍌
