It's definitely a tight spot, but they way overcharge and 10 hours seems a bit extreme for removing just that section of dash. I don't think it would take 10 hours to pull the whole dash and put it back. Given that you have the correct tools to do so. I feel that they tend to exaggerate at all dealerships.
Could be the blend door actuator it controls all that. Can try a rest on it see if it helps. Under the dash fuse panel there's 2 fuses for the heat. Pull both fuses out wait 10 seconds. Put them back in turn your key on but don't touch any heat or ac settings for 40 seconds. I would set everything to off on the heat controls before removing the fuses. Wait 40 seconds and it will recalibrate the heat and ac actuators. If that doesn't help its probably a blend door actuator.
Where is the blend door on the driver side located?
Tight spot ! Toyota wants $170 to diagnose the problem then will roll into repair. 10 hrs to remove dash .

I hear people talking about the passenger side, but what about the driver side?
I'm not sure if there's one on the driver's side this gen if there is. I'd think it's very similar to the passenger side.
Cory, why does the air come out cold when I don't even have the AC on. I'll have it selected to defrost and air to come out at bottom.

Thanks a lot I will definitely check it out before buying the door blend actuators
