The style of Zeppelin III has a lot of acoustic guitar, very unique album of theirs. A lot of different types of sounds such as country music rock, even a little bit of ballad style in the one of my favorite songs from it Tangerine.❤👍
Bron-Y-Aur (Bron-E-Hour) is a small cottage where Led Zeppelin wrote most of LZ III. There are pictures of the place on Led Zep's website. But the song is about Robert's dog.
Led Zeppelin, you never know what you’ll hear, but it is always great. A cute fun song, about Plant & his dog. Plant Page & their families stayed at this cottage, to write music. It’s a cottage named the same & it’s a place Plants family went as a kid. They had No water or electricity there, & very secluded. I say a video where someone went there, then had to use a drone to get closer, beautiful countryside. Thank you for your reaction, & do much more Led Zeppelin, the more you listen the more you’ll love them.
It’s songs like this, when everything about it is not the band’s usual sound, makes me like that band even more than I did in the first place. Hot Dog is another Zeppelin song that does this.
Bron-Yr-Aur (misspelled as "Bron-Y-Aur on the album) is indeed pronounced like "Bron-er-ire" (well done!) and is a Welsh word that means "golden hills" or "golden breast". It's the name of the cottage in Wales that Robert Plant took Jimmy Page to on vacation and where a majority of their third album was conceived. The cottage had no running water or electricity, so being there necessitated acoustic instruments and battery run tape recorders to capture any bits of inspiration. This third album showcases a lot of a more folk/country aspect of their talent due to these conditions and is consequently quite a different animal of sound in their catalogue. Led Zeppelin was rather unique in that they kept acoustic elements throughout their entire career.
About Robert Plant’s dog and Jimmy playing that acoustic like crazy. Jimmy will even play the electric guitar what they call sloppy crashing notes together and it turns out to rock.
I remember my friend and I used to jump up and down on a mattress during the entire song every time we heard this...we were in our mid-twenties at the time...it was fun...ya'll should try it.
It's pronounced "bron-yer-are". It was the name of a boy's school for young men who had gotten in trouble.... This whole album is a testament to them. Many years later, Jimmy Page set up a philanthropy in Bolivia to get young men off the streets, so this was something dear to Zeppelin's hearts. The actual album cover Zeppelin had the boys at Bron-y-Aur design. Some of the songs on the album are meant to influence the boys not to get into further trouble... suggesting what they'd be missing "around them brick walls"... in this case, the love of a good dog. This is ultimately a song about Brotherly Love, and it was moving to see you pick up on it and feel the groove thru the rhythm and Jimmy's fret-work 💙 ~
Listen to more early Traffic - the title track from John Barleycorn Must Die - it's not a stomp but it is a really good song - of course Zep is the prog rock GOAT (in my opinion along with Emerson, Lake and Palmer - but I am a keyboardist).
Interesting that this track came from the same album as 'Since I've been loving you'-a great track. I wouldn't rate this quite as highly, but still good and a fun song. It just shows their musical skill and variety-Colin Ward
This is my favorite Zep album. You can't say Led Zeppelin and underrated in the same sentence, but if any of their albums came close to that description, this might be it. Great album!
I never knew about the dog but always liked the song anyway. Jimmy Page had varied influences and I've always liked that they did stripped-down songs like this that showed what their roots were.
They don't' make a bad song. All killer no filler. Bron-Y-Aur was the name of a cottage in Wales they stayed at and recorded a lot of this LP (Led Zep III).🔥
Bron-Yr-Aur (Welsh for 'hill of gold'; Welsh pronunciation: [brɔn ər ˈai̯r]) is a privately owned 18th-century cottage in Gwynedd, mid- Wales, on the outskirts of Machynlleth
Early 70's things were still fairly cool, if you were caught with pot most cops would tell you to dump it in the dirt and grind it in. The system allowed 18 to 24 year old males to drink our beer and howl in the woods. Flip side is any day we're called off to Vietnam. Punk was brewing in London and NYC. 1960's crooners were fading out, keyboards became increasingly popular peaking in the 80's. 1980's is when the World of today began. Safety restrictions and regulations, far higher prices on cars. Permits for recreation, fishing, park access. 1970's were cool.
Don’t worry, I don’t think the majority of us know how to pronounce this. There’s another song, that we’ve pronounced wrong for decades, there’s a British joke to it. It’s called D’yer Mak’er, it’s a cool Reggae style song. The way it’s pronounced sounds more like Jamaica, I know you’d love that song too, we all did back in the day.
Good morning! I suggest for your reaction LEAD AWAY by Mariah Carey in the voice of Gabriel Henrique. He is very talented. His UA-cam channel has the same name.
'Bout time people like you,(reactors), got around to reacting to good stuff again...Try more Zep, Floyd and for something new that's good these days Billy Strings..
Robert singing about his love for his dog❤
Stryder!!
@@PeterTea When he sang it live. Never knew what it meant until now.
One of the greatest songs about man’s best friend. “Ain’t no companion like a blue eyed Merle.” “Strider!”
It’s a good, fun song. Another example of their talents Nice reaction 👏👏👏
That is the love of a Dog! If you’re blessed with one…you get it!
It's Robert Plant's homage to his dog-the blue eyed merle.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed the song so much.
its sooo awesome how your musical taste have evolved. Youre able to appreciate all types. 😊
🥰🥰🥰 love your enthusiasm for acoustic Zep
Fun song with a kind of a country vibe. Shows their the depth of their talents Great reaction
An unusual Zepplin suggestion. It does give people the chance to understand just how much talent Jimmy Page had.
They all had!
@@juliemanarin4127 This one is really focused on Jimmy on the acoustic.
It’s been my favorite Zepp song since I was a kid, and I’m so glad someone finally reacted to it! ❤❤
OMG....I haven't heard this one since around 1970. This band could do it all.
Watch the live one!!Bonzo sings harmony!
A lot of great acoustic songs on this album, one of their best!
Beautiful impression..... more Zeppelin, let's go ❤
Remember my workmates bought me this album for my 21st ,June 23 1978. Brings back good memories.
It’s such a great tune. Something they could play at a family gathering and have everyone dancing and stomping and clapping
Nothing ever released can compare. They made their OWN style of rock.
God bless Bonham!!
He has inspired more drummers than drums can accommodate!
You looked a bit confused for about the first 45 seconds that Zep had this acoustic "country" side. Fantastic reaction, so fun !!
Zeppelin’s variety of music is unmatched. From the heavy to blues to acoustical.
Any genre, any day…they are their own genre! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice one. Always one of my favorites by them. If you listen to their whole catalog you'll find deep cuts that will turn into obscure little favorites.
The live version at Earls Court 1975 is 🔥 🔥
It took her a minute.. but when she smiled….
Loved watching you Rock 🎶 to this ! Great Reaction! Fun Reaction!
Zep deep cut. Love it! Nice choice and reaction.
Led Zepp is the truth!
Just a fun track to stomp your feet to, great choice and great reaction , Angela! :)

Named after the cottage but they misspelled the name. It's called Bron Yr Aur.
Which means Hill Of Gold.
@@tcspur1 thank you.
Such a happy song!! Thanks for the reaction.☮
Rock on Angela!
The L Z 3 session is my favourite era of the bands creativity..
For a minute it looked like you were shaking your head "no", had me worried! :)
Nice reaction pretty lady. Gallows Pole is another great track off this album...

Jimmy Page actually played a Violin bow on his Telecaster guitar on their debut album. Dazed and Confused &
How many more Times

No snapping fingers on this song that was John Bonham playing the spoons!
John Paul Jones played upright bass, John Bonham played the spoons.
Please listen to the other Bron-Yr-Aur song by Led Zeppelin as well😊
Angela, youve done very lil of the no. 1 rock band!!😢😢😢😢😢😢
Try Bron yr aur off the physical graffiti album. That was a great one too
Not bad! It has a country vibe to it! I can't think of anything else to say! Toodles!
British folk more like.

Angela, i can tell youre a great dancer? And play instruments??
What couldn't they do...I know , make a bad song. Strider was Roberts Blue Eyed Merle.
Barn yard stomp…just say that🤷🏻♂️
Named my dog Stryder after this.
