In 1975, I won a full set of all of their published albums, by calling a radio show broadcasting from .Georgia Tech....Have loved them for a half century.
Angel ah. Saw them twice in Philly. Justin Hayward (lead man, singer song writer extraordinaire, plays anything with strings on it) helped me on my spiritual path. With lines from this song like "when you stop & think about it you won't believe it's true, that all the love you've been GIVING has all been meant for you"
Absolute amazing song................"I'm looking for someone to change my life...............a miracle in my life" LOVE this song.......really hits home Moody Blues very similar style to Chicago. THis song..........the "I'm looking for someone to change my life............."etc. Always brings a tear.
this song was actually 2 unfinished songs that they put together into 1 song as both were written in C. the bassist is considered one of the 10 most influential bassists in the world
I think this is one of their best songs, switching between rock and a more melodic part. Great vocals from Justin Haywood and as you say that bass from John Lodge.
When I was in the service, listening to their first album, the Moody Blues let me float off away from where I was. They were very different from the popular rock bands of the time. I got to watch them live only once, and they put on a show that I'll never forget. Great choice and thanks for taking me to some other place with the Moody Blues.
A truly great song and band, they were solid gold from 1967 - 1972, every album is a semi concept album and the song writing is off the charts. For another of their classic tunes, try Legend of a Mind, the saga of LSD guru Timothy Leary through their musical prism. More Moody Blues! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎻🎶🔥
🤘RUSH🤘 The song is called The Garden. The drummer Neil Peart was the song writer for the band and this is a look back at his that was full of tragedy and his time with the band Neil died sadly died from brain cancer in 2020 . 🤘RUSH🤘 was together for over 40yrs and the 3 members were together for most of those yrs. After Neil Peart died the band retired because you can't replace Neil one of the top drummers and his lyrics are some of the greatest ever written. 🤘RUS🤘 Was a group from Toronto and Canada's best contribution to. Watch the live version from LA the stage show was one of their greatest.. Long live 🤘RUSH🤘 😃s from 🇨🇦
Night in White Satin was an iconic song, but classic rock stations have overplayed it to death and ignored the other songs by the Moody Blues. Overplayed to the point of nausea..."Nights" drags on at a slow tempo where this song his great lyrics too and more variety with tempo changes. And relevant lyrics for today: "Why do we never get an answer when we're knocking at the door With a thousand million questions about hate and death and war? 'Cause when we stop and look around us, there is nothing that we need In a world of persecution that is burning in its greed"
The Moody Blues are one of the groups that were my bridge to classical music; Emerson Lake & Palmer, Yes, and Renaissance are the others. The Moodies' use of the mellotron was spot on. I used to think it was violins.
Our Moody's! Writing, recording, & performing stone cold classics, decades before many more 'famous' acts could even play a couple of chords!! Funny thing is, there were a ton of other Brit bands doing the same in the 60's , hence the celebrated 'invasion' we all know about!! For a tiny island, we've been punching waaaaay above our weight for centuries!! 😀
My dad loved the moody blues another band short changed by Sharon ozbornes father just like Electric Light Orchestra and many of late 60s/early-ish 70s bands, so many didn't know that publishing rights were where the money was! Ask the guys from Grand Funk ,they're mgr was brutal with the publishing and there's league's of these classics which the writer and performers didn't know their worth as creators. of words and music we all still love.
i like all music but you don't often do country, and for your singers song writers i suggest a song by Clay Walker called Chain of Love, Great Story and after being a fan of yours a while now, i know you'll listen to the lyrics

Obviously, reaction channels are checking out each other's reactions. That's okay, this is an excellent choice, my favorite Moody Blues song!

Be your own miracle.

Great song from a GREAT band!

Watching the song catch you off guard multiple times was too cute! lol Great reaction Angie! xx

The Moody Blues were one of the best groups to come out of the 70s Nice pick Angie
Great band.I always love seeing people react to them
You’ll never miss with the Moody Blues!
So it happens to you too Angela!...the musical performance being so captivating, whether for its uniqueness or dance, you can't focus on the lyrics.
nice reaction love this song classic!!!
I was 10 when this was released, like it better now I am old😎
Gaz UK.
One of favorite childhood songs🎶🎶🥰

Great tune ! Thanks
I’ve seen them in concert 5 times… they were so good!!

Same here. In the USAF from 1970- 1990 and spent a lot of nights with the lights off in another world with their albums playing.
Life being a quest to find someone to cherish who's not simply a self-server in disguise.
Speaking of floating, that reminded me of their song "Floating" on their album: To Our Children's Children's Children.
awesome band.....awesome song
melancholy you say? then you should absolutely listen to their song Melancholy man. such a hauntingly beautiful work of musical art
I saw them in NC about 25 years ago. They played with the entire state orchestra and it was a great show. Thanks for the reaction!
I also saw them back in early 80's. I think i worn out "This is Moody Blues" album back in the 70's
Also in NC and also saw them around that time with the state symphony. Excellent show.
I saw them twice in Des Moines with the Des Moines Symphony. Excellent concert!
Fantastic band!! Great song. 😅
Bass played by John Lodge.
Classic song the bass is amazing along with the acustic guitar moody blues one of the best prog rock bands ever
Dance Sister Go!
Saw them with the Des Moines symphony in '97. Great show.
Angela, if you liked that bass as much as I do, please do their "I'm Just a Singer in a Rock and Roll Band"!
Epic, next level stuff.
They were so awesome live Angela, you would've loved it😅😊
Check out "Ride my See-Saw" that's how i learned to play the guitar

Wow, I can't believe someone finally mentioned Renaissance...especially paired with The Moody Blues...two of my all time favorite bands.
You should react to NEW HORIZONS by The Moody Blues. It is a hauntingly beautiful song that not many people know about..
Our Moody's!

Check out The Other Side Of Life, Gemini Dream, and I'm Just A Singer In A Rock And Roll Band by The Moody Blues.
You have to hear Tuesday Afternoon if you haven't already.

The Moody Blues were very political in their writing !
The Moody Blues were so far ahead of their peers. The only band that rivaled the complexity (and quality) of their music, was Pink Floyd.
They have a song called Floating, very nice. Peace Train by Cat Stevens is my vote for singer song writer.
My suggestion is from Theocracy & the song is " Mirror of Souls "! Thank you!
That was actually two different songs put together to make one .
Real name of the song: "Question of Balance"
No, that's the name of the album. The song is "Question".
Check out , child in time by the band Deep purple 💜 THANKS!! ✌️
if you havent already, react to "story in your eyes".

Wonder where you got the idea for this one? Lol hmmm
