JPJ casually on the Mandolin for this beauty. Push comes to shove, Led Zep III is my fave album of theirs. Largely a folk record, just sublime. Worth a listen to the studio version, it'll send a shiver down yer spine.
Not really true on their studio albums but phasing was used by the Beatles. There is clearly an effect and phasing on Robert's voice. It is far from perfect too. Nice for live but not really fair to say it was "pure".
Here they are the greatest Rock group of all time ...........and the hardest Rock drummer is off stage, no doubt having a little refreshment break and the guys just lay this one down ! Amazing .
My longtime fav tune from my #1 fav Zepp lp... Zepp3 is often considered their folkiest (inc this song) album, but there are also fantastic rockers too, such as their opener, ImmigrantSong!!! Thanx for your reaction, Steph.
Here's a fun fact; Robert Plant once said that he felt like a wedding singer compared to the rest of Led Zeppelin. Let that sink in for a minute. He actually thought that he wasn't worthy to be performing with the unbelievable talent that the three other members of the band brought to the table!
This song as well as many others that she has reacted to are from the Led Zeppelin live DVD. I purchased this DVD set over 15 years ago after watching some of these performances on VH1 classics and wondering where they had come from. It's a two disc set with the first disc being performances mostly from Royal Albert Hall in 1969 I believe. The second disc is performances from Earl's Court, Knebworth and Madison square garden from 73 and 75 I believe. There is a lot of good stuff on that set of discs. I highly recommend.
The sentimentality and nostalgia in this song is overwhelming… it strikes deep feelings inside me of being a child, but realizing that “all that lives is born to die”…
A suggestion for you. Led Zeppelin “Nobodies Fault But Mine” live from Celebration Day concert movie. It has Robert Plant on harmonica. Also notice the interactions they have with each other. Just a thought. Enjoy!
This song is actually about a childhood boy friend who starts going down the wrong path. Later Robert changed the word boy for girl, and it really changes the way people think about the story.
Not sure what all of Zeppelin you've reacted to, but I hope you try these: Thank You __ What is and What Should Never Be __ Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. But yes...there's so many more Zeppelin songs. They held the number two spot for most albums sold by a Rock Group for a reason.
Why do I get the impression you really like Zeppelin, I mean really, really like them !!!!!!! Do yourself a big favor and react to : "Going to California ". Love ❤️ your LED Zeppelin reactions.
They didn't have some calculating manager who demanded "Let's give them a nice acoustic number, to show your soft side." Nope, it came naturally, organically, and when they felt like tearing the roof off the joint with The Wanton Song or whatever, or experimenting with Astral Rock like In The Light, they did that just as easy, just as well. That's The (Zeppelin) Way...
This is probably my favorite Led Zeppelin song. Most of the B side of Led Zeppelin III is haunting a beautiful like this.
III is impeccable.
JPJ playing the bass pedals with his foot on the back-end of the song was cool.
Yeah, glad they showed that to give him credit!
They do it all, that`s why they`re the GOAT Rock/blues band. 50+ years and NEVER gets old!

One reason (of so many) that Led Zeppelin is the greatest band ever. :)
No auto tune no lip singing pure music.

You need Led Zep's "The Rain Song" in your life!
Yup! Live AND Studio!
Find the un-edited MSG 1973 version (minus the annoying fantasy sequence, so you can actually see the band playing). It's out there.
I agree!
Here they are the greatest Rock group of all time ...........and the hardest Rock drummer is off stage, no doubt having a little refreshment break and the guys just lay this one down ! Amazing .
The vocal the song ! What a band !! They could do anything in music. They're that good.

Jonesy was Zeppelin's "Swiss Army Knife" Bonzo was enjoying himself a Heineken.

Along with MSG and the Danish radio in the extras
@@danielgerald4551 Yes. There's a lot of good stuff on that DVD set. It's a shame that it's not been redone in 1080p or 4K.
Steph, please know how many people were influenced for the better by this band. They're the greatest for a reason!
Just simply the GOATS…NO ARGUMENT NEEDED! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The sentimentality and nostalgia in this song is overwhelming… it strikes deep feelings inside me of being a child, but realizing that “all that lives is born to die”…

Your eyes said it all. The variety of their songs is why I have them as my GOATS. You need to watch "The song remains the same" MOVIE / DOCUMENTARY
Great reaction!
The original song lyrics is 'my friend the boy next door'.
I like it when you like old Zep.
Good stuff.
Next…Going to California! It’s part of the same set. It’s acoustic which is Plant, Paul, and page.
Why do I get the impression you really like Zeppelin, I mean really, really like them !!!!!!! Do yourself a big favor and react to : "Going to California ". Love ❤️ your LED Zeppelin reactions.

Well aren't you the cute one !
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
You would certainly love Terry Reid. He has a powerful voice like Robert. React to "to be treated rite" by Terry Reid. You'll surely love it!
