@@paulenan9636 depends on whether they're the OG rangers or new rangers from NCR. OG rangers have 200+ years of experience since a lot of them were ghouls. I'd imagine they would be a terrifying foe to go against IRL. Hell, look at Raul once you convince him to take up arms again. Easily one of the most powerful companions.
The new rangers? Pushovers, that's who they are.

Got some Astartes flash backs from that last soldier suddenly having a Paladin right on top of him.
Well paladins are basically the equivalent of Astarte in fallout.
I guess I have to make myself clear when I say paladins are LIKE the equivalent of Astartes in the fallout universe. I’m not saying there they are as strong as Astartes but similar. Some of y’all understood what I meant and those people I give my thanks to.

Amazing work. Feels like a cutscene that could fit in game. If the Brotherhood was this terrifying at Helios One, imagine what the Enclave would look like back in Fallout 2
Just imagine how terrifying they would have been had Elijah decided to retreat fron Helios One to more protected emplacements.
It took the NCR lotsa bodies amd the Brotherhood being on a bad position to be able to take them down

@@SuperGman117 No, the Lost Hills chapter are still very much around by the latest chronology of the FO universe. The NCR does not have the strength to destroy the Brotherhood of Steel.

This did a great job at making the Brotherhood seem terrifying. Despite having won, lots of the NCR troops you talk to in NV seem to really view the BoS as a boogeyman because of the sheer casualties they inflicted, and this really brings that to life.
I mean it is rather terrifying. Sure, the NCR will stomp a group of BoS cadets or recruits without PA, but the moment those guys show up it takes the Rangers to deal with them, or throw bodies at them.
I love the straight up space marine vibes the knights give!
I love FO4's laser rifle sounds. The weapon just sounds so beefy and threatening even when you're just powering it on. FO4's sound design really doesn't get the credit it deserves, especially when it's held back by poor usage of an otherwise excellent sound system.

The funny thing about the laser weapons in FO4 is they're all nerfed. There's a bug that keeps them from doing full damage. 76 addressed this with invaders from beyond. Meaning that they can be even more of a beast if fixed.
@virtualdentity2685 I rather like the design of the AER9, it looks minimalist and utilitarian, which is exactly what a nation in a war and dealing with shortages of everything would be producing. And modular, though that's kind of a retcon and honestly one of the weaker parts of the weapon design, imo
The grip/skeleton stock is pretty butt though, not gonna lie, I use a replacer for the weapon that maintains the overall boxy design, but fixes a lot of nitpicks I have with it.
@JeremyHall-te4nj how so? I'm poking around FO4's weapons due to making a new modlist so I wonder if it's something that can be fixed via FO4edit.
@@crestfallenneet2167 There's a damage calculation issue where energy resistance affects energy damage more than it should. That's why a lot of energy weapons in the game are outclassed by the ballistic weapons. This also explains why the alien blaster isn't as op as it used to be.
Amazing as always, you do such a great job at portraying why Power Armor was such a game changer in the war, those troopers might as well be shooting them with BB guns
The only reason the NCR won helios 1 was that they kept throwing bodies and bullets more then the BOS can repair or resupply themselves

@@ferrox8421especially since we know they carry anti-material rifles, which can help disable power armor ( much like an IRL tank, you don't have to kill the crew inside or completely destroy PA - immobilizing it or doing a 'mission' kill can be enough ).
pretty sure its one of the reasons the war started. power armored troops made it so deep into china (and the gobi desert campaign too) that the chinese had no other choice
@@battenburg6089 Yeah, you're literally 100% correct. China was literally losing the physical war against the US because PA was such a force multiplier.
This is insanely good, I cannot believe it, this is everything a Fallout fan could want from a short film about the battle for Helios One. Incredible, just fucking incredible.
The horror that the BoS and Enclave have just by power armor alone is almost as bad as the mutant beasts that inhabit the world.

Damn, now as I think of it - the Master's supermutants are just as quick, strong and almost on the same level of toughness as power-armored human. And there was a small army of them, wielding miniguns, laser rifles and rocket launchers.

your ability to make animated power armor ,seemingly regardless a of what fiction it is from, is astounding! From the weight showing in the sound to how they move with such power and presence. Weathering gunfire while its operator sows destruction on the field.
While still not being completely invulnerable and thus requiring skilled soldiers to make optimal use of the equipment thinking back to the halo and ,may it rest in peace, the 40k animations.

@@lordhoboofsavior36 Look at the video, the bullets bounce right off, like the lore said, making them up to be walking tanks, in the games you get slapped around by raiders with broken down weapons if their level is higher than yours, and in fallout 4 you literally get fucked by a half naked junkey with a pipe weapon as armor pieces fly off, or you lose health and die before that. IG the armor should provide invulnerability from small arms weapons until it breaks, or get like a 20% damage reduction against high calibre stuff, like the anti-material rifle.
@@TheLaluciDanielit's almost like it's a gameplay element that doesn't reflect the reality of the fiction. The characters in the games never take a shit, does that mean nobody poops in-universe? You can take bullets to the head and be fine after eating some iguanas. Does that mean humans are some bulletproof machines with Wolverine-like regeneration in-universe?
Bethesda has issues with consistency and writing, but talk about a silly criticism.

If you pay attention to every member of the Brotherhood in New Vegas who will talk about Helios, they make it clear that it was a desperate battle, and that defeat was clear from the start. It's why everyone was begging Father Eijah to call a retreat.

@@MrPikaGammer Elijah just wanted to secure the ARCHIMEDES orbital laser for himself, as is evident when you meet Elijah in Dead Money and see him taking over the Sierra Madre to secure the Red Cloud, Hologram and Vending Machine technologies for cleansing the world.
McNamera prevented most of the slaughter by retreating when they could, but it was a poor leadership scenario. That's why you don't let Scribes become Elders!

Man I love how Sodaz does the best heavy armor troopers in his animation. The gun sound powerful, the impact sound powerful.
The NCR trooper with a BAR was a nice touch adds to the idea that they would have some kinda support gunner rocking a big gun from the prewar era

Your animations have gotten much better. The way the NRC move looks very realistic, great job.
I loved the emotions it adds more depth to the animation, you can feel the fear in the NCR soldiers the second power and miniguns we're thrown in the mix.
Usually these animations people make are alright. This though... damn is _really_ good.

Laser Rifles in New Vegas and Fallout 4 look like they are tickling their targets, these look downright terrifying and make absolute sense why the Brotherhood want to keep control of them.

so good. I wish the camera was a LITTLE more steady. It definitely gets the feel across of the heavy fire. But just like 20% less shuddering during the blasting.
also makes no sense the amount of recoil on the laser rifles but I am actually totally fine with that I love the sound and blasty feel of them.
also the audio and just FEEL of things is wonderful. I think that was one of my biggest gripes about FNV and F4- the guns just felt like... plinky. No real OOMF to them. Love how you did that here, and the movement of the characters and lighting is just top notch.

Big boy probably walked up while the minigun was giving them ear damage and making them shit their pants. In fact the only reason the minigun stopped firing was probably because it's barrel was overheating and also to give this dude a chance to jumpscare these poor dudes XD

That soldier with the Automatic Rifle (BAR 1918) had about the same experience I had using that gun 😩 - Can't hit the broad side of a barn and .308 AP (-15DT) barely scratches Paladin Armor (31DT at high level)

Beautiful animation, I love that you’re showing the brotherhood in combat armor and power armor it really makes it feel like they’re a military force rather than just a bunch of tanks. The armor and clothing on the NCR is amazing too, I always saw NCR gear as thrown together gear from prewar stock piles but this really makes it feel like it’s been produced post war and it makes the NCR feel like an actual military.

I love the impact that the laser weapons have holy shit - ive always thought in the games they were a little bit cartoony but the way you did the sound effects and impact is soooo good. Gives me a newfound appreciation for energy weapons
