Due to the nature of this content, I'm unable to monetize this series of videos, so anything you can do to help out will be greatly appreciated. I also want to apologize for the somewhat lackluster performance. I've been suffering severe back pain with two slipped disks. On the upside, since the content keeps these videos from monetization, I've left in the harsh language - which I know you'll all enjoy!
UPDATE: On top of the slipped disks, I apparently have some form of anemia which is draining me of all my energy (and will to live). It's possibly related to a bone marrow disease I have (Essential Thrombocythemia) or the chemo I've been taking for the last ten years to combat that disease. Trying to figure out the treatment. Your thoughts and prayers will be greatly appreciated, if entirely useless.
I'm subscribed and always upvote and comment. I wish I had money to spare to give you.
Hey Brian - I was going to make a snarky remark about you seeming upset at 6:55, but I'm genuinely sorry to read about your travails here. I don't watch every video but enjoyed what I saw of the Mr. Deity series and I'm glad you're still able to put in the effort. As I once heard Trae Crowder remark, "Existence is a nightmare, love ya like chicken." Best wishes.
Bri, take a break if you need to. We love you and I will hope you improve and that your doctors know best.
Take your time and find your health. Love your work!!!
Sorry to hear about your pain. I will pray to the one true god- Zeus⚡️
WLC has always been a fanatic that could make himself sound like a thoughtful person. This shows him to be what he really is, a potential maniac who uses his language ability to make the reprehensible sound like the salvation of humanity
Craig addresses Alex O’Connor’s obviously profound and sincere discomfort with his moral claim not by approaching the problem from a different angle, or elaborating in some way upon what he had just said. You can’t even rightfully say that he doubles-down. He just simply repeats his position, almost literally word-for-word, I guess implying that Alex and the rest of us heathen moral relativists are just too thick or too stubborn to get it. It’s really beyond belief.
I can only hope Bill never hears that same "command" in his head.
In other words genocide is a okay as long as his invisible sky wizard says so🤦🏿♂️
Isn't that what they all say?
I applaud Alex for being able to maintain his composure talking to low bar Bill.
Best wishes for your physicians to find a solution soon, @misterdeity ! You’re a real treasure, and we want you around and healthy for a long time to come!
Awww!!! Thanks so much! You’ve made my fortnight!
Imagine somebody bursts into WLC's house, brandishing a sledgehammer, and saying "God commanded your death." Do you think Bill would say "Well, if God says so…"? Or would he try to fight back?
Voltaire was right. "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
Low Bar Bill's idea of a loving sky daddy sounds a lot like how my abusive father used to treat my mother and myself. He loves us but if we talk back to him or disobey him, he can take us out.
If I was alone in a forest, I'd feed Low Bar to the frikkin' bear.
Psalms 137:9 King James Version (KJV)
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones Against the stones.
Repugnant and revolting doesn't begin to describe this sickness...
The "funny" thing is that Craig sounds like he would be a perfect apologist for people practicing the Moloch sacrifice and he doesn't even notice it or doesn't care.
- Humans sacrifice babies for god: bad
- God sacrifice babies for god: better for the babies.
That's professional philosophy.
Who cares about the babies, as long as "God loves Bill Craig"
How anyone can hear Craig run his mouth and not immediately say, "that's such sewage," is beyond me.
„A fate worse than heaven“ - good point.
Wait....the children had to be executed because they were evil, but went directly to heaven because they were innocent?
Uh, which is it?
They’re going to hell because they were the wrong religion
yeah, ya think? oh wait, of course you do! it's lbb who doesn't think.
You're not supposed to ask both questions at the same time.....that's not fair.
Whichever sounds best in the moment.
@@jonovens7974 LOL!!!
I listened to the full interview with WL Craig. I thought he had mispoken earlier about the "moral" of genocide. But he doubled-down in the most terrible way. I was left shocked. It was so disturbing. I have never seen any "better" example of the dangers of religious dogma.
Under divine command God wrongs nobody.
At one time Alex asked: how do you know ?
Low bar: That question is not interesting to me.
Craig's got one shtick, and he'll take it to the grave, no matter what.
*Andrea Yates : **_A kind Loving Mother_** ?* (huge sacrifice)
She killed her 5 young children to guarantee them a spot in heaven. _(powerful love)_
_The logic is unassailable._ (WTF ?)
What Bill is saying leaves him morally blind , he can’t say anything is right or wrong
*_You Gotta Be Kidding Me_** ?*
How could anyone, (Bill), stand in front of a children's cancer hospital and happily proclaim,
don't worry it's all good, _cause they goin' to heaven._
Who cares about "temporary agony", when eternal paradise awaits ? *_Prove me wrong_** .*
There is a saint who said the exact same thing... "Suffering brings them closer to Christ"... which is why she never built the hospital she promised she would if she ever received the funds... To claim she doesn't have the money, she sent that money to the Vatican instead (this meets the legal definition of fraud).
I really couldn't imagine how Alex could mask his disgust throughout this interview.
His ability to just keep feeding rope to LBB so he could keep tangling himself up was impressive. He didn't get to take breaks to vomit at the ideas being presented.
Anyone who tries to include slaughtering babies under the definition of "good" should *never* be allowed to call themself a philosopher. Ever.
"Great work, gang, we finally caught the spooky Divine Command theory ghost that's been haunting all those genocides. Lets see who it really is!"
*rips off mask*
"*gasp* Why that's just old man Might Makes Right morality!"
And I would have gotten away with it, if it weren't for those meddling skeptics using their brain instead of just accepting my absurd claims at face value! And the dog, too.
@@hail_satan,
Why bring the dog into this!?
@@aralornwolf3140 ruh roh!
This is a god who clearly does not value fairness in any way, shape or form. Truly, a character that utterly scorns the very idea of justice and equity. No matter how you twist the definition of good or right, without that as a core component, that cannot ever apply to the god of the bible.
So God sends a baby to be born only to have it killed and then returned to heaven. What a hipocrit.
Low bar Bill keeps digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole the more he talks!
The sickest shit Craig has ever said in his entire life starts at 2:28 and ends at 3:33
So the BABIES were SINFUL enough to kill, but not sinful enough to keep out of HEAVEN?
Just note, at the time that story, the Hebrew faith and religious philosophy did not include the idea of “heaven”.
Forgot about that.
What bill doesn’t realize is that those poor Canaanite babies did not go to heaven.
They need ‘ seasoning ‘,. The suffering theodicy in my opinion is the only thing that Christian’s can use to explain why God didn’t use his pre knowledge to avoid the fall.
Babies need to stick arround this world till they can freely reject or except christ.
Chances R- many R called few R chosen, most of em ended up in hell after they died( permanatly ) after the age of accountability.
2:57 LBB says, in his theology, the children go immediately to heaven to be with God, Just where in the Bible does it say that, Bill?
This is nothing but an attempt to sugarcoat a plain abomination.
and they we killed because they were sinners - how does that work if they wind up in heaven? this is the crappiest drivel ever.
*Empty excuses for a corrupt God ;*
Made all the worse by Bill's _smiling face & smug attitude._
I’m sorry. I started watching and I will probably finish watching this later, but I find I haven’t got the stomach for the simpering and plain mean-spirited mendacity of No-Bar Billy right now.
I literally just put it on mute and let it run. Because I can't listen to the gruesome game.
Totally understandable. If you want, press play and then just walk away.
This is so important, to take it all the way to the end. It's just so...ick
@@misterdeity I saw this comment on an Exmo channel and thought you'd get a chuckle out of it:

_We use foremon but I want morphan to catch on, because when you leave it often feels like you were orphaned._
With all the bending and stretching done, Cirque du Soleil should hire low bar Bill.
What I've just heard is not refuting the thesis that he defends genocide. The guy was given a proposition several times and conclusively responded: genocide is good, if it is done on God's command. I strongly suspect that it can even extend to "it is bad and immoral not to do genocide if genocide was ordered by God".
Would his idea that killing children is glorifying them not make abortion morally acceptable?
Remember kids. Low bar Billy is propped up as being one of the best apologists out there. If that doesn't tell you something about the whole enterprise then I don't know what will.
It's crazy how calm Alex did stay
Not even an expression of growing horror!
"He wronged nobody"
Circularity; god can do no wrong therefor everything he does is good therefor he can do no wrong.
3:00 "if god wants to take a life, that's his right"
Mafia boss/might makes right.
3:01 "and the children immediately went to heaven"
Self soothing.
All of this leaves us with the problem that we cannot tell whether something is good or evil because we cannot ask god whether he commanded it or not.
If a man starts shooting up a school declaring that he's doing it on god's command, should we stop him because we feel it's morally wrong for him to do that, or should we let him do it because it might actually be a command from god?
If Bill answers "stop him, obviously", then why did nobody stop the slaughter of the Kananites? Oh because they thought it was a command from god? But this guy says he's doing it for god... so is it a matter of how many people are convinced that it's a command from god? Majority rules?
I would LOVE to see Bill talk to a psychiatrist and really drill him to see how much of this are his actual beliefs and how much is just a front to maintain his position in the community.
excellent comment. WLC is clearly a narcissist, even more than his rockstar incarnation, DLR (who at least is talented and has entertained millions of people, including myself) , he obviously loves the sound of his magnificent stentorian voice (i'll give him that; he has a fabulous baritone voice), so he'd never do an interview with a psychiatrist and be exposed as the psychopath that he clearly is...
2:57 William Lane Craig casually, without recognizing what he's doing (I hope), just made an argument in favor of _all_ child murder.
But, I'm sure he's against abortion.
Exactly! i mentioned this just a couple of minutes before you did.

Thanks! A couple of times there, Alex looked ready to hurl.
"it slaughters the babies, or else it gets the hose again" -- Bluffalot Bill Craig's god.
Powerful stuff and I agree 100%. How sick do you hav to be to excuse the murder of babies, with a smile, and even say it was a good thing?
Perfect rebuttal to all this insanity Brian. Thanks!
Listening to LBB, I keep thinking of one of my favourite lines from Die Hard: Man, why don't you try smelling what you're shoveling?
One minute in, “absent divine command, this is objectively wrong”
THATS NOT OBJECTIVE
hear hear!!
I am so glad Craig admits that his morality is based on Devine Comand. I have argued until I was blue in the face with his followers that they are all arguing for Devine Comand. I have something to rub in their face when they say he does not advise that.
All theae things are wrong, unless the guy I worship does it, then it's absolutely fine and good. This is psychotic! Absolutely sick and anyone who defends this position is heinous and desrves prison! They will do ANYTHING so long as their god tells them to do it!
EFFIN BRUTAL FACTS! thank you brother for speaking for all of those who have been hurt, are being hurt now & will be hurt in the future by ghouls like this who think his sky daddy can do no wrong
One must also note that "they go to heaven" is not an out for LBB. Since it would be *vastly* more moral to just bring them directly to heaven *without experiencing being murdered (or cancer, or starving, or whatever) first* .
Well... um... let god have his purity test first, okay?
I did a google search on "Why do people love tyrants?". The result was "You have to meet William Lane Craig (aka Low Bar Bill). He is a living example.
Thank you, W. L. Craig, for your excellent work defaming Christianity.
This entire series has been timely and on point. Keep it up

Bill just gave the Andrea Yates defense.
Exactly. I swear the man doesn't even listen to the words coming out his own mouth 🙄
@@kc7476 He's dug himself a hole so deep that he has to say this stuff because otherwise, he could never continue.
WlC is of the opinion that children go to heaven by default if they are murdered presumably on the basis of them being children. This doesn't track with original sin and conflicts with the theodicy of soul or saint building.
However WLC also says that these murdered children go to a far better life than they otherwise would have had had they remained on this "corrupt and filthy world". Which prompts me to ask if WLC would be willing to personally send as many children as he possibly can to this far better life in paradise rather than remain here in this current filthy world even if the act would cost him his own place in that "better life".
Of course why it would cost him his place when he's actually doing these children the greatest of favors according to him is not clear. If anything he should be even more garunteed of it for doing so. But his god does work in very mysterious ways so I hear.
I don't think he cares, and is only saying that to sound a bit more palatable. In other company he probably says things completely opposite.
6:45 Someone pointing out ghe subtext of the 30 day period, and it's not for grieving... it's to make sure she isn't pregnant, because we know what happens to the girls who have "known man." Dark shit, eh?
The bar goes so low that that the only way to go now is up yet amazingly just when it couldn't get any lower he some how breaks new levels. Wow.
WHAT?! Are you telling me that it isn't moral to slaughter native peoples and take their gold and land? But God is love.
You are now my first Patreon subscription.
Woohoo!!! Thanks so much!
This is almost unbelievable.
Does Bill not understand how the words he says make him sound? Or is he just a complete grifting monster? 🤔 Okay, I think I just answered my own question... 😞
Someone tell me, how does WLC know that the killed children go directly to heaven? Is that him just making up a feel good pill to help justify the terrible shit he is talking about?
Jesus makes me sick too Mr D... but then, he would be profoundly proud of himself that he started such a colossal cult that lasted so long.
SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS BILL GUY. Imagine him as a world leader.
Let's not, thanks. (shudder)
The video being responded to was the nail in the coffin for me.
what a disgusting “thought process”
Mr Craig is proof that people can always convince themselves that they are doing the right thing, no matter how sick that thing is. It is remarkable how these people consider Adolf Hitler evil, yet consider god’s extermination plan good.
and Ignore Adolf was one of them and following the preaching of the church to quote "I am doing Gods work".
@@stultusvenator3233 Oh, yes, the Nazis claimed that god was on their side. God has been repeatedly used as an excuse for committing war crimes.
@@clemstevenson
They thought that Hitler definitely had divine approval & protection, after surviving 14 assassination attempts, I believe.
@@stultusvenator3233 Oh, yes, it's very easy to find god in a pattern that isn't really there. Christians are always looking for god in patterns that aren't really there.
The new testament invented antisemitism and Luther wrote AH’s plan. The goddy ones never acknowledge that.
Let’s try and remember that these lunatics also think the rape victim should raise the rapists child…the moral goodness just oozes from these people…
Can't blame you for being disgusted by Low Bar Bill. I find this man so disgusting that I can't abide looking at him for too long, he makes me sick. I am SOOOO glad I abandoned the Christian faith some 26 years ago.
Did anyone tell Craig that his divine command theory is just a theory?
I have a great idea for a crossover event that could potentially heal the rift in the Abrahamic religions. We will need a bunch of babies, some planes, some buildings, and at the end, a bunch of thoughts and prayers. I feel this idea was placed in my head by a god, so it is perfectly moral.
I've never understood this idea that children who go to heaven are in a wonderful place. What happens to 1 month old in heaven? Do they grow up? They're non-verbal, have no concepts other than
I'm unhappy (I need food, or my diaper changed, or I hurt, or ...). Or I'm happy (I'm full, comfortable, and can see my mother). Ok, so they're presumably happy in heaven (always comfortable, fed, no diapers, etc) but possibly no mother. So do they become more fully human? Do they learn stuff? What about all the experiences they've missed, love, sex, becoming a parent, etc. Heaven just seems to be an eternity of a god induced zombie state, where, as a baby, they don't even have a lifetime of memories to look back on.
According to WLC, God does not wrong anyone when he orders the deaths of Canaanites. This shows just how disgusting his morality is in all circumstances, as according to him there is never an ethical obligation to another person, only to a "moral authority." So if I go steal from someone, I haven't wronged that person, I've only wronged God. That's seriously obscene.
Its literal Jihad logic.
If God permits you to kill it must be moral. Its not in God nature to do anything immoral, no matter what logic, reality, law or intuition says about the morality of an action, it must be moral if God sanctions it.
Bill is literally using the exact same moral framework as every suicide bomber. The only difference is that they have different ideas of what atrocities God wants. Its the exact same moral framework and justification. Every time Bill says God must have some justification for slaughtering the canaanites and we should ignore all moral intuitions and reasoning... just substitute that for "blowing up childrens school" and ule see there is no difference between Bill's logic and that of Boko Haram.
Its a perfect example of the moral and societal dangers of throwing away ur brain im favour of religious dogma. How historically and currently there is no more dangerous moral framework than thinking your are doing Gods commanded objective morality. Where anything can be justified because God is on your side.
This is indeed some sick fucking shit, to the nth degree.
it is a tremendous blessing to go to heaven and be with God*
*Disclaimer, this same argument does not apply to abortion
One of the other things that comes up later in this discussion is Alex asking if it would be morally good for a parent to kill their own child before the age of accountability in order to spare them the risk of going to hell and to give them that infinite reward WLC talks about. Craig says no, but only on the grounds that killing the child without orders from God would be immoral. But all that answer does is say it would be bad for the parent, it says nothing about whether the action would be best for the child. This leads on to what I call Craig's Wager:
If God exists then killing your child before the age of accountability would guarantee them an infinite reward in Heaven, at the expense of finite rewards in this life.
If God exists then NOT killing your child before the age of accountability would result in them gaining finite rewards in this life, at the risk of missing out on that infinite reward, and instead gaining infinite punishment.
If God DOES NOT exist then killing your child before the age of accountability would rob them of the finite rewards of this life.
If God DOES NOT exists then NOT killing your child before the age of accountability would result in them gaining finite rewards in this life.
Infinite rewards are clearly better than finite rewards.
Escaping infinite punishment is also clearly better than gaining finite rewards.
As such, the "right" thing for you to do FOR YOUR CHILD, under WLC's system, is to kill them before the age of accountability. Yes, you would have committed a sin in doing so, but your child will have gained an infinite reward. Plus, you can just ask for forgiveness and the sin doesn't even matter anyway.
The reasoning is inescapable!
Knowing that this scenario is utter fiction gets me to listen and ponder. But yet, it sickens me to listen to LBB sanction such genocide in the name of a god or goddess.
Thanks!

Unbelievable.
And I think that's what Dr Craig's organisation and his UA-cam channel are called too.
So those children, murdered at divine command get to be with God for ever, according to Killbill. That reminds me of the Biblical instruction that if a man rapes a woman, she has to marry him. There's consistency in this argument, I guess.
Note that in the Deuteronomy passage about taking female captive as a war bride after a month (that Dennis Praeger finds such a beautiful passage (Go Devils!)) only applies if the captor finds the woman beautiful. Based on how someone like Low Bar Bill will state that only mentioning one angel at Jesus' tomb in a given Gospel doesn't mean there wasn't another angel means that if the captor views a woman as ugly and he's just horny, then this restriction does not apply and he can go ahead and take her on the spot. Such a wonderful religion.....
Quite literally a crime against humanity we tried people at Nuremberg and Tokyo for this stuff.
Against people who believed absolutely wrongly they too were doing good.
@@francesconicoletti2547 That applies to many but there were those in Germany who just saw it as a good career move but then again how many times did pretending to be religious provide great cover for a .lot of terrible things.

All merciful and all just? Wouldn't that be a contradiction? So many problems with the proposition of an all powerful being. So glad Bill is around to explain things to us. His rationalizations and justifications for god's killing smack of the explanations given by angel-of-mercy nurses when found to be expediting the expiration of their patients. "I was just sending them to be with god."
🙄
Couldn’t an all-mighty god have just beamed the children up to heaven? Why was having his followers butcher them the best idea he could come up with?
The little child looks up at the human-looking figure with a long white beard and says, "Where is my mommy?"
The figure replies, "Well, she said that Baal was a god besides me, so she is being tortured in Hell right now."
"When will I see her again?"
"Never. Now be sure to love me and sincerely worship me!"
I don't know, I thought William did a great job... arguing for atheism.
