I really excited for Ash-Greninja Battle Bond form returning in Legends Z-A and most importantly I really wanted Ash-Greninja Battle Bond form returning in Z-A cause we have not seen Greninja’s Bond Evolution returning since the XYZ series and lastly the Pokemon Sun and Moon Demo. Ash-Greninja form absolutely deserves to be back in Legends Z-A, and if the Pokémon Company do I would be beyond happy and get motivated.
This is my prediction for Legends ZA • Jynx should get a Ice/Poison regional form since Ice/Poison is a type combination that was never used • Flygon should get a Bug/Dragon regional form because Bug/Dragon is a type combination that was never used. I would change Mega Delphox types to Fire/Fairy and Mega Chesnaught to Grass/Ground to not get the "Kalosian" Serperior place with the same type. But for me the Trio for PkmZA will be Litten, Piplup and Snivy

Not only does Jynx have quite different stats to them, while also initially being an NPC-trade rather than found in the wild, but even just at the most direct visual and conceptual level, Magmar and Electabuzz are very obviously designed as a pair of counterparts: - they are both bipedal but still VERY distinctly animalistic creatures - they both wear their (single) element as an obvious pattern all over their bodies - they are literally version exclusives in multiple sets of games If there was a third member to Magmar and Electabuzz, one would expect something like a white/light-blue bipedal lizard with snowflake symbols all over it. Jynx is very much not that. It is true that it got grouped with them a bit in Gen-2 by gaining a baby-stage at the same time, but it also gained another distinction by gaining a female-only gender (opposed to a 75% male one).. and then more differences in later generations (like not having Vital Spirit as a hidden ability like the other two, not gaining an evolution in Sinnoh, and so on).
This comment has nothing to do with any of the fakemon ideas/designs/art featured in this, but right at the beginning of the video I am questioning the plausibility of the premise for the starter section. There are several reasons why the unique mixed set of starters was a perfect idea for Legends Arceus: 1. The Sinnoh starters have had the luxury of playing the role of starters in their home region for 3 releases (DP, Pt, BDSP) 2. Their most recent feature as the actual starters happened literally 2 months before Legends released (BDSP) 3. Legends presented the region in an image to distinguish it from Sinnoh, including with a unique name: Hisui Looking at the same points for the Kalos starters, we get a VERY different situation: 1. The Kalos starters have only played the starter role a single time (XY) 2. Their most recent feature was literally just the one time they were introduced, over a decade ago 2.+ to make things worse, their spotlight was partially stolen by Kanto starter after the first gym, who literally got to show off the region's iconic battle mechanic of Mega evolution 3. Legends Z-A (at least so far) is not trying to present its setting as drastically distinct from XY, explicitly calling Lumiose city by its familiar name In other words, the Kalos starters have had the absolute minimum opportunity to play the roles they were created for, barely representing their home region. No other set of starters has been treated this poorly. Therefore, it would frankly be absurd if they did not return as the actual starters of Legends Z-A, and at the very least themselves get to show off the gimmick of their region (by getting the Megas that they probably would have gotten if we had ever gotten a direct XY-follow-up game in the first place). If the Kalos starters got pushed to the side and have their fundamental role given to "literally a random set of starters from other regions", that would be not only arguably even worse than what happened to them in XY, it would be possibly THE biggest middle finger one could come up with 😂
...obviously there can very easily be additional starters from other regions made obtainable throughout the rest of the game, and I imagine any that already have Mega evolutions from before will likely be in it in some way (Kanto/Hoenn), but in regards to giving other starters (or even random regular Pokémon to be honest) regional forms, I also have a suspicion that that concept might simply not be a prominent feature the way it was for Hisui. Because even with the highly limited information we have so far, the ONE thing we do know is that they made it absolutely clear that Mega evolutions are coming back. So I would speculate that THAT would be the main source/focus of new Pokémon designs, the way Hisuian forms and regular evolutions were in Hisui. Regional forms and evolutions made sense for Hisui, because it was in a similar spirit to the Sinnoh region, of expanding existing Pokémon families, whereas the only "normal" expansion of an existing family in Kalos was Sylveon (where the core motivation was of course the promotion of an entirely new type, a very different role), while otherwise going all-in on Mega evolutions as Kalos' way of "re-designing" old Pokémon.
It just makes perfect sense to me that they'd want to take the opportunity of "bringing back Megas" and absolutely hone in on that and making it a singular focus and selling-point in terms of "new designs", rather than splitting the attention between that and Regional forms, regular evolutions, lookalikes or anything else.. ...with special exceptions for very specific reasons, like Eternal Floette, or something akin to cases like Sylveon and Enamorus). Other than that, it also makes sense to round out "Megas" (rather than diluting the marketing of them), by obviously giving some unique new forms to the XYZ mascots that would directly tie into the lore of Mega evolution to begin with. Whether they'd be a continuation of the Primal Reversion concept to take it full-circle, or come up with new names for mechanics standing above Mega evolution in some way.
And yeah, obviously I am very suspicious of the whole idea that Legends Z-A will be a prequel or set in the past lol I don't think we can look at Legends Arceus as a basis for making ANY assumptions like that, especially because the Sinnoh region was SPECIFICALLY ABOUT TIME AND SPACE. Kalos has its own themes to revisit and expand on.
I think zygarde is done w, zygarde has multiple forms already and arceus was the named legendary for the last legends game but didn’t receive a new form, however if they do end up giving zygarde another two forms these concepts are something I’d accept openly

But gamefreak doesn't run on fans' opinions... hell, if given the chance, they are probably not above giving us mega charizard X, mega charizard Y and mega charizard Z as starters. There're so many people predicting snivy and piplup as starters for this game to the point that I'm starting to worry if gamefreak will intentionally not choose them for "the element of surprise".

I love the zygarde designs but I’m ngl, I feel like they shouldn’t fuse. It just feels like a gimmick that’s already become a bit too common within legendaries already. I mean, origin form palkia and dialga look to be semi fused with arceus, the Tao trio fuse, the alola trio fuse, shadow/ice rider calyxes technically aren’t fusions but even still, hell even the loyal 3 are somewhat fused with pecharunt’s power. It just feels like something that’s close to being overused. As a side note though those Kalos megas are actually incredible and fix any problems I had with their designs. They’d definitely be some of the strongest megas in terms of design for sure.
Here's my prediction for the starters in Legends ZA We first pick between Snivy, Scorbunny and Piplup (these are pretty popular predictions for the ZA starters) and they have new regional forms upon fully evolving Then we get to pick a kalos starter which will also be able to mega evolve. I'm so picking Greninja in that instance
I kind of hope we do not fight Zygarde. I want to keep more with the theme of Legends. What I expect is for us to either called to thr past or to switch it up for us to receive dreams and visions of a looming threat. Early on in the story we are joined by a small Pokemon that is a new Zygarde form. It changes and is our ride Pokemon and as we address the issue kr threat to the ecosystem as well as progress in the progress of restoration and development of the city Zygarde becones stronger and is able to access new forms, similar to our Legendary from Scarlet and Violet. After the post game we can officially catch Zygarde just as we got to catch Arceus. If we keep the catch mechanic focus I would want us to catch is like we did in Legends. I am all for more battles being in the main story but I do not want gameplay for any Legends title to feel like a normal mainlibe entry. The gameplay should ahve its own feel and that is achieved by keeping catching a main mechanic over a barrage of random nov battles. It changes stuff up and gives overal diversity. We got enough titles with a ton of battles and we get gen 10 before long. Lets keep this mostky catch based but yes lets maybe add mkre battles than the fjrst Legends had but not enough ti make it feel like the rest of our mainline titles. I also expect all the Kalos stsrters to get megas bc they never had them before but for our starters to not get any megas and to get regional forms. I also want the Kalos stsrters to get megas in the late or post game so thst they do not overshadow the games starters as they are not that reguons current starters. I expect a decent amount of regional forms akin to the same amount we had in Legends Arceus give or take. I alsoe expecta new legendary thst js part of another legendary set. We got Enamerous and I like the idea of at least one new legendary being added. Idk who or whst that woukd be. I do not think it has to be one added to an already established trio or quartet or anything but it should connect or tie in some way to an existing legendary or at the very least be a mystery where we do not focus on them that much. We get this all the time with the Kanto birds or the Johto Beast where we barely get lore on them but they are not box art legends. I feel no one ks discjssong it but I feel we will always get a random lrgendary added to give us a new one per legends game but to not have it hog the lime light. Was thinking Mawlix for onix's evolution. With steelix being a nod to the steel coating, onyx (stone) for onix and the mawl could be a reference to a dragons mawl or otherwise the mouth of a dragon which is highlighted in the design

WHITE/RED - CYNDAQUIL WHITE/ GREEN - ROWLET WHITE\BLUE - OSHAATT This could be the selection for kalos with snivy, litten and sobble they have yellow and then the primary color of their attribute yellow / green - snivy yellow / red - litten yellow/ blue - sobble could be a relationship of mutual colors
we wouldnt get the kalos mega evolutions because it would conflict with the franchise release of x and y. its possible but maybe battle bond delphox and chesnaught? though unlikely.. as it would also take away from the anime and protecting the fans positions and choice on what they deem to be their favourite content in the frnachise

Not gonna lie bro, don’t quite think you hit the mark with the starters. Technically if they don’t give the starters Mega Evolutions, then I guess Incineroar could be it, but Scorbunny seems more likely, and as much as I’d like it, there’s no way Sobble is being chosen over Empoleon.
Also changing chesnaughts type bugged me a lil like grass fighting is solid we already have enough tanky grass steel types

That's the popular consensus. But gamefreak doesn't run on fans' opinions... hell, if given the chance, they are probably not above giving us mega charizard X, mega charizard Y and mega charizard Z as starters. There're so many people predicting snivy and piplup as starters for this game to the point that I'm starting to worry if gamefreak will intentionally not choose them for "the element of surprise".

I love the zygarde designs but I’m ngl, I feel like they shouldn’t fuse. It just feels like a gimmick that’s already become a bit too common within legendaries already. I mean, origin form palkia and dialga look to be semi fused with arceus, the Tao trio fuse, the alola trio fuse, shadow/ice rider calyxes technically aren’t fusions but even still, hell even the loyal 3 are somewhat fused with pecharunt’s power. It just feels like something that’s close to being overused.
As a side note though those Kalos megas are actually incredible and fix any problems I had with their designs. They’d definitely be some of the strongest megas in terms of design for sure.
I think I’d rather have Zygarde get X and Y megas that resemble the other two instead of fusing with them outright

Here's my prediction for the starters in Legends ZA
We first pick between Snivy, Scorbunny and Piplup (these are pretty popular predictions for the ZA starters) and they have new regional forms upon fully evolving
Then we get to pick a kalos starter which will also be able to mega evolve. I'm so picking Greninja in that instance
I kind of hope we do not fight Zygarde. I want to keep more with the theme of Legends. What I expect is for us to either called to thr past or to switch it up for us to receive dreams and visions of a looming threat. Early on in the story we are joined by a small Pokemon that is a new Zygarde form. It changes and is our ride Pokemon and as we address the issue kr threat to the ecosystem as well as progress in the progress of restoration and development of the city Zygarde becones stronger and is able to access new forms, similar to our Legendary from Scarlet and Violet. After the post game we can officially catch Zygarde just as we got to catch Arceus. If we keep the catch mechanic focus I would want us to catch is like we did in Legends. I am all for more battles being in the main story but I do not want gameplay for any Legends title to feel like a normal mainlibe entry. The gameplay should ahve its own feel and that is achieved by keeping catching a main mechanic over a barrage of random nov battles. It changes stuff up and gives overal diversity. We got enough titles with a ton of battles and we get gen 10 before long. Lets keep this mostky catch based but yes lets maybe add mkre battles than the fjrst Legends had but not enough ti make it feel like the rest of our mainline titles.
I also expect all the Kalos stsrters to get megas bc they never had them before but for our starters to not get any megas and to get regional forms. I also want the Kalos stsrters to get megas in the late or post game so thst they do not overshadow the games starters as they are not that reguons current starters.
I expect a decent amount of regional forms akin to the same amount we had in Legends Arceus give or take. I alsoe expecta new legendary thst js part of another legendary set. We got Enamerous and I like the idea of at least one new legendary being added.
Idk who or whst that woukd be. I do not think it has to be one added to an already established trio or quartet or anything but it should connect or tie in some way to an existing legendary or at the very least be a mystery where we do not focus on them that much. We get this all the time with the Kanto birds or the Johto Beast where we barely get lore on them but they are not box art legends. I feel no one ks discjssong it but I feel we will always get a random lrgendary added to give us a new one per legends game but to not have it hog the lime light. Something post game we just happen to get.
Was thinking Mawlix for onix's evolution. With steelix being a nod to the steel coating, onyx (stone) for onix and the mawl could be a reference to a dragons mawl or otherwise the mouth of a dragon which is highlighted in the design

we wouldnt get the kalos mega evolutions because it would conflict with the franchise release of x and y. its possible but maybe battle bond delphox and chesnaught? though unlikely.. as it would also take away from the anime and protecting the fans positions and choice on what they deem to be their favourite content in the frnachise
