What if other Mythical Pokemon got Unbound forms?

- With Pokemon Legends ZA and a return to Kalos coming soon(ish?) it's got me thinking about the gen 6 Pokemon Hoopa, who has a special Unbound form.
There's something interesting about a cute little mythical Pokemon turning into a monstrous horrifying 'true' form. So, what if OTHER cute mythical Pokemon got special forms?
In this video I make 10 (plus one bonus) Fakemon that I think accomplish this theoretical possibility!
Darkrai Unbound would be utterly terrifying
It would just be an Eldritch horror.
It would literally be nightmare fuel
This is its Unbound form, we need the Confined form.

Darkrai Unbound would get massive meaty quads with super thighs that strikes every skinny leg-ass trainer with endless nightmares

The bird idea was pretty cool but I preferred Meloetta's original look more. I was hoping more like a musical goddess type look but yeah.

What if the gen 3 fossils had “modern” forms. They would represent what the animal they are based on evolved into in real life. Make replicanth be a modern form of a different Pokémon.

9:06 As someone who has Marshadow as the 2nd favorite mon:
-His best looking move is locked in only 1 generation (being the Z-move), so it's something you see almost never.
-When talking about tiers, he is too strong for OU, and too weak for Ubers, but he must stay in Ubers where you have all the legendaries to choose from instead of him.
-There wasnt any event or story related quest in the game for him, I think the way to get him was simply get a code from the store.
-There was a movie featuring him, but he didnt do much in there.
-His base design looks too bland without the flames, but thats how he's portrayed most of the time.
i really love marshadow, and it really sucks that he doesn’t get much love in competitive, or even the games. if it was transferable to gen 9, it would be on my team in a heartbeat.

Many tales tell of a once Nobel warrior falling into eternal darkness when touching the toxic chain, this hasn’t been proven yet, but it seems to attract people to Kitakami either way, this Pokémon unleashes its full might through a barrage of slams from its chains, and can defeat any foe through dirty tactics or just full on brute force, this was one of the reasons why Peacharunt was confined to a peach’s berry, so that its might doesn’t destroy all in it way…

Hidden Ability - Unbound Wrath (Attack and Special Attack boost up one stage is hit with a super effective move)

Oh my gosh I am SO happy to see other people do this! I've been trying to design a Mew Unbound form and not making it super close to Mewtwo is hard. I absolutely ADORE this quadrupedal design, you did amazing! I only have gotten through one Pokemon and am SO excited to see the rest! Incredible work!!!
Meloetta unbound's new ability can be " resonance," making it so when this mon is hit by a sound move it takes no damage instead increase it's special attack by 1 stage. Additionally the ability gives a 50% boost to all sound moves this mon uses

What if you tried making confined forms for the not so chibi looking mythicals, like Arceus, Darkrai, and volcanion
But Arceus already *is* the confined form of true Arceus. True Arceus probably isn’t even a Pokemon.
Honestly I think having confined forms for the mythicals or legendaries who aren't so chibi looking, even ones that already have different forms could be a rather interesting idea!

Love them. Jirachi's face gives off Arceus vibe, and Shaymin's reminds me of Chopper from One Piece! Maybe some of these Mythical Pokémon could use some upgrades like these.

But I hope Volcanion does get a new form in ZA. Hoopa already has an Unbound form and with Megas returning in ZA, Diancie will have her mega back
That Mew design was especially creative. I love that it's an inversion of Mewtwo's futuristic aesthetic.

Meloetta's unbound form being a muse is a very fitting idea considering that one of the inspirations for her design is ofc the muses from Greek mythology

I loved all of the designs in this video... except for Mew. Maybe it's because it's my favorite mythical and so I'd be impossible to please regardless, but one thing I love about Mew is how smooth and simple its design is, and I just can't get into something so much busier for it. But that said, the artwork itself is still top notch, even if the design isn't my cup of tea. I think I liked your design for unbound Jirachi the best.
As an artist who isn't great at digital art, your techniques are fascinating and I envy you a little. The chunky, transparent sketch shape straight to outlining on the chain on Pecharunt? Whoa, that's skill
these are sick designs you are very talented. one critique though, unbound forms, for me contain an essence of pure terror and marvel. your designs are very creative but for me just feel like evolutions. please take this in the best way possible i really do like your designs i just think you could add more mysteriousness legendary esque vibes to these unbound forms

An even better question to ask would be "What would intimidating mythical (or even legendary) Pokémon's confined forms look like?"

Also, a Scarlet and Violet DLC SPOILER (That's kind of been spoiled in the video anyways, but I just wanted to be safe):
They did more than just make Pecharunt the villain... instead of him being a child who was born from e peach, Pokémon made him a peach that wanted to be loved like a child.
Admittedly, I feel like Victini should’ve had something more jovial and less fierce.
The Pokemon of Victory’s unleashed state should feel far more like a “I’ve already won” sorta deal and having it with a more confident and less aggressive appearance would benefit it.
My mind goes somewhat to Luffy’s Gear 5, while I haven’t watched OP, that design instantly gets across the “you’ve already lost mentality” quite well.
Also ability wise, a reverse Superior Overlord would be fun, where it grows stronger with each of your opponents Pokemon you’ve taken out.
A really cool idea for Unbound Mew would be to make it Psychic/Normal since part of the concept you thought of was to have segments of its body appear amporphous. It could make an interesting nod to the idea of mind over matter of have the typing symbolically represent the mind and body.
Plus if you don't want to just tack on Dark, Psychic, Fighting, Ghost, or Fairy just in case those seem predictable and boring Normal typing seems like the most lore appropriate option.
6:39 Funny enough, I already thought the silhouette of unbound Meloetta looked like when I first saw it, leaving me confused at first.

6:30 I’m surprised he did even mention her other form or reference it. While I like this fan form, the colors on her body are a bit plain and would be better with some inclusion from her fighting type form.

Such a cool concept for a video! I think my favorite design was Marshadows Unbound form. I just cant say no to a skeleton Fakemon. Vitini, Mew, Manaphy and Pecharunt are on a close second place
The Mew/pixie mythicals are one of my favorite cross gen patterns
Always loved how Hoopa got the good ol’ Magolor Soul treatment. Minus it being caused by a malevolent external force going “oh hey thanks for the body, just gonna make it more to my liking since you’re not gonna be in control anymore haha”
Lots of these designs are really cool, honestly i could see some of these mythicals getting something new in future games.
These forms for Shaymin and Marshadow are amazing and I love them dearly. Manaphy's is also really cool! Those three are my favorite, but these are all so darn good!

I did something similar, except my idea was that instead of using Mew's DNA, the scientists used all the other mythical Pokemon's DNA.
For the already tough looking mythicals, you could do bound forms
It's not the best change, but I'd make the Mew psychic/normal. The relation to ditto, the cat like form and mews ability to learn moves just scream normal type to me.

Unbound Jirachi looks like a Mewtwo Jirachi fusion. Overall great video i loved Marshadow the most
I would think unbound forms would bring out the darkest or well Evil sides of a pokemon like hoopa had it in the movie it was in so maybe they go rogue or just loses their mind in fury or smth like that

Pecharunt Unbound (and I know this is an entirely different mythology) kinda reminds me of NeZha. The gauntlets on its arms and it just sorta looks like a little kid brings it together that way in my mind.

With Pecharunt, I would have leaned into the idea that it's a Pecha berry harder. Straight up turning it into a Pecha Tree based 'mon rather than a berry, and change it's type to Grass/Poison.
Lake Guardian trio could have a combined unbound form.
I would have fully approved of the Miku x Angewomon fusion form for Meloetta.
I can't decide if i like Victini, Marshadow or Peacharunt more, all designs are really good

Man, when I heard the concept of the video, I was really hoping to see Magearna. So much you could do with its design and lore.
Could of had it unfold mechanically into something even larger Transformer style or do something crazy with the soul heart. The soul heart is said to be the true pokemon. Maybe Megerana is functionally a pokeball with some even greater beast inside of it.
How about for the stronger looking Mythicals, you could create Confined forms instead.

For celebi unbound's new ability how about "seer of time" the accuracy of moves celebi uses increase by 1 stage the more time the moves is used back to back. And the accuracy decrease of opponents moves that are used back to back by 1 stage.
Like how fury cutter's power increases the more it is used.

Celebi should be Grass/Fairy type, because it would fit the fairy-like design.

You bring up Mewtwo, but I should note base Mewtwo has the same difference in overall BST to Mew that Hoopa Unbound has to Hoopa Confined. In some ways, Mewtwo is like a Mew Unbound form
Something I've noted is that Diancie's normal stats are the same increase from Carbink as what it would get with a Mega Evolution, including the one stat that always stays intact being HP. Basically Diancie is like a Mega Carbink
