My ex said she was raped. She said it up until the point I introduced her to an attorney so we could go to the police. Suddenly the story changed and she admitted she cheated and wasn't raped, she just didnt want me to break up with her. We're no longer together.

Seven to 10 years ago, if a woman were to tell me she was raped, I would have believed her. Thanks to #metoo and the McCarthyite witch hunts it has inspired as well as the recent rash of false accusations/convictions, I have all but stop believing rape claims. Now when a woman tells me she was raped, my reply is "police, evidence or the shit never happened!"

@@davester1970 When you remove the lying FBI (caught modifying their reports for political clout withe Democrats) and politically motivated CDC (repeatedly keep redefining rape and false accusation so their numbers line up with the conclusion they want) from crime statistics and use vetted sources like The Nation Crime Victimization Survey, you find out rape has the absolute highest number of false accusations of all crimes. Specially when you look into the innocence project and Light House project you find out over half of all rape convictions were false convictions made through threats and intimidation along with false testimony.
Most crimes have roughly a 30% false accusation rate across the board. False rape allegations at their most conservative numbers is over 40% and possibly higher than 60% if all false convictions, after the fact processed rape kits, and accusers who recant are added together. All of this comes from the false idea to not hold accountable false accusors because of "the cooling effect on reporting" as one always wrong judge said. While reporting survey into rape show that women hearing about unpunished false accusers makes them reporting their rape.
The lack of accountability is a bigger determent to society than anything.

We had this recent case of a serial false rape case filer, in Gurgaon, India. That woman's name was Ayushi Bhatia, and she filed 7 rape complaints in 1 year, in different police stations across Gurgaon city, in the state/province of Haryana, India. She did it to extort money from 7 guys, by dating them, filing rape case in police stations, and using these cases as a threat to make the boys pay her money to withdraw the case. This was exposed by Deepika Narayan Bharadwaj, a documentary filmmaker and a Mens Rights Activist. Deepika approached the Director General of Police,Haryana and the Haryana State Women Commission asking them to investigate these 7 rape cases filed by Ayushi. A Special Investigation Team(SIT) was formed and Ayushi was finally arrested for extortion.

This has been going on for a very long time. When I was 14 years old, way back in the 80's, a young woman accused a young man I knew of rape. At that time they had passed a few laws meant to protect woman and make it safer for them to come forward about sexually related crimes. What it did was basically make it illegal to cross examine a women during a case of sexual assault if it made them uncomfortable. Regardless, he was eventually convicted of rape charges and sentenced to multiple years in prison. He was also completely ostracized from society. His own mother and father turned against him, his church, most of his friends, even me. I mean I didn't want to be associated with a rapist and I did what everyone else did, turned my back on him. Luckily for him one of his friends(a girl) who was also friends with the accuser didn't believe the girls story. Two years after the conviction the friend finally got a recording of the accuser admitting, while drunk, that she had lied about the rape to get back at him for breaking up with her. It was another full year before the police finished their new investigation that included them speaking to her all of twice, in a year! The second time they spoke to her she admitted that the rape allegations were false and she had just been mad at him for the break up. After another year of legal shenanigans he was finally released from prison. Sadly the girls family and a lot of people in town still considered him a rapist. He was added to a sexual predator list and could not get his name off it. Even though he had been exonerated the people who ran the list were not the government and had a policy of never removing names once added. He couldn't get a job and was lucky to get a table at a restaurant because so many people still considered him a rapist. He finally had to change his name and move to a different state to start over. Not sure what happened to him after that but I hope his life went well.
As for the girl who accused him of rape? Absolutely nothing happened. No charges, no story in the paper, not even a ticket for filing false police report. Not long after being release she changed her story back to him having raped her and the only reason he was out was because he was able to bribe some state official to get off. It was a totally ludicrous story that often changed but it didn't matter. People would believe her soon as the word rape came out of her mouth.
Like i said this isn't new. This has been going on for a very long time. From woman getting men sent to prison, to women getting men lynched. It probably goes back as long as society has existed. In my life time it seems to have gotten so much worse. A fever pitch of insanity where women are able to scream anything they want without any proof and still expect to be believed. Even not believing is enough to get you in trouble and possibly lose your lively hood or freedom. It feels like something needs to change but I don't see that happening any time soon.

Exactly. I mean, yes the guy gets released. But he loses his job, his friends, family. How many times does that happen, and people go "umm no, I heard your story, I believe you were guilty, so we can't hire you". And even if they didn't, you have a long period of no work experience which will make future employers question you. On top of all of that, people tend to think "oh, there must have been something going on with them for her to even want to do that, there just wasn't enough proof."
And also, it makes it that much harder for women who truly go through that to want to ever reach out for help in fear of looking just like her, and being completely ignored.

So they didn’t even have to match the bite marks to an impression of his teeth? Civil court must be as useless as family court

Actually it's even worse than that. According to the national registry of exonerations, (and I quote):
"In 2008, DNA testing showed that saliva from the bite marks on the supposed victim came from a female. Nonetheless, the district attorney refused to support McCaffrey’s request to vacate his conviction."
Did you get that? It's not just that the bitemarks didn't match. It's that the dna from the fucking saliva didn't match and they still kept him in for 2 more years.
The legal system is a fucking joke, and at some point you begin to wonder if it is even worth to go through it or seek your own justice.

I'm currently being false accused for molestation. Barely know this girl, and now I'm waiting if she wants to press charges or just drop it and put me through therapy.

@@pottyputter05 No they are pretty unique person to person. Though far less reliable then DNA. Which is why it should only ever be used as supporting evidence. This was not such a case.

@Jay diggy Dog salad I'm just going to say this. I am a kid so my ideas might not be thought through. I'm kinda here to share my opinion and get a better sense of what I believe and how to put it into words cause unless I have a good amount of time to think about it I suck at explaining stuff.

Absolutely infuriating. We cannot tolerate this, not allow a single inch when it comes to this, not anymore. Let's make sure we NEVER just hop on the accused because they're being accused, we should all be smarter than that. YOU SHOULD GO TO PRISON FOR MANY YEARS FOR DOING THIS....
