- For episode 3 I interview James Beard Award Winner and Emmy Award nominated chef Sophia Roe. She shares where her cooking journey began 14 years ago. Her remarkable journey from foster care to becoming a renowned chef and the journey isn’t even close to being over yet. She taught me this amazing scallion pancake recipe that was beyond delicious and super easy to make. And remember ‘Just because your food is ugly doesn’t mean it’s not edible’ chop off the bad parts and use the rest.

I love this conversation! However, slightly distracting the different camera angles/ people walking across, some of the camera quality on the close ups to Sophia. Also would like to know on the side (even if in writing) the steps she was doing for the recipe!

Food insecurity isn’t just about hunger. It’s about a lack of access to nutritional and agricultural information such as vegetable oils are detrimental to our health. The survival mentality needed to survive is blinding to the abundance of information available regarding healthy eating. This byproduct can be generational as well
