Thanks for this lesson on painting in Bob Ross style but with Acrylics instead of Bob's media oils... very helpful
Well for someone who don't do mountains you did a great job thanks for sharing Ian. This is my next one. Sheila.
Ian...I think this is my favorite painting so far although it's hard to pick a favorite. Thank you for sending the brushes! I'm going to watch your cloud lessons and hope that I can learn to do clouds half as good as yours!! Thanks for your time and work on UA-cam.
My pleasure 😊
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that you and Bob Ross were my two favorite artists. Little did I know that you had done a tribute to him. Thank you.
Bob Ross would be very proud of this. You did wonderfully well with it. I am stunned at how good this is. Although you say you are not that good on mountains, you really are, and you nailed this one completely. Sending love from the U.K. xx

Wow, this is amazing 👏. I believe you can paint anything 😅
Nice and well done job for Bob Ross tribute thanks for demo of acrylic painting
Me gustan tus pinturas cuando pintas un atardecer con delfines
I viewed this video several times and managed to paint mountains with the the correct shading. Thank you so much Ian. Your paintings come alive as you paint. Wonderful and thanks for your help. From Montreal, Canada.
Wonderful tribute, thank you for showing us how.
yes. Thank you Ian. I wondered how to do this in acrylic as well. can't wait to try it! I also wondered about your brushes too! They look like natural bristle ...good to know they are symthethtic so I can achieve best results like your painting! I'm a new fan!! ♡
for somebody that can't do mountains all my gosh yours is amazing
What a beautiful painting and tribute to Bob Ross. You really made this so easy. Thank You. Much love to Steve, what a beauty!
This painting has inspired me to give it a go. Nothing like the Colorado Rockies! Thanks Ian!
Bob Ross, Len Hend and Ian Harris, the big three in my paint world. Luv you stuff cobba.
Beautiful, Bob Ross would be honored
Thank you for doing a Bob Ross tribute. I love his easy going manner. Great demonstration Ian
Thank you for the Bob Ross mountain painting lesson. You are so easy to follow and you explain everything so that a beginner like me can understand why and how to paint. I follow all your work on U Tube.
Donna Hill
Thanks lan,,one of my favorite...and I'm happy that I draw it..yes it doesn't look yours or Mr Bob..but here I'm still learning...👏🍀🌹❣️🍀
Glad I found th re video again. Good morning Ian and everyone.
IAN WHAT A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE TO "BOB ROSS" THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH
Beautiful
Beautiful........ Im just starting. I really enjoy watching u. Iv learned a lot from your videos. Do u let your sky colour dry before u add the clouds. Do u need to let your first layer before adding highlights to the clouds. Also what is liquid white
Many thanks.
No, the sky color needs to be still wet, the clouds also are still wet when adding the yumminess
Liquid white u apply it first..then as long as they are still wet just continue working,,,.👏🌹🌹🍀
Watched Bob Ross a lot in the past. You did a great job! He would be proud. 👍
I been watching a lot of Bob Ross on netflix. Good to know you can paint in that style with acrylics. One thing I took away from watching Bob is that the trees closest to the mountain are lighter and the one's closest to the viewer are darker, to give that feeling of perspective. Subbed. good job
I love the cat
Thank You Ian.. you are amazing.. I started again on my painting work after about 20 years.. I used to do this when I was in school ... your videos and guidelines helping me to pickup pace.. thanks again.. and keep posting..

Hey Ian...i like all your paintings but this is "Bääähm"...
the coulors are so beautifull...more please ;-)
best wishes from Germany
What again did you put on the canvas before you started painting? (it was white)
soft student paint with retarder, it keeps the canvas wet longer so i can blend the sky color and the clouds like oil
@@ianapolis oh ok, thanks!
Nice job!
Very beautiful
fantastic
When all you have are small brushes.. 😭
i feel ya. my largest is like 2 cm and smallest 1 mm xD
Great job ian
Are you drying in between artificially or just allowing them to air dry?

I was wondering how to do a landscape in acrylic as well. I love it! Did you use Josandras thru out the whole painting?
only in the colours i was blending with in the sky
@@ianapolis ...bastante aceptable....
Thank you Ian, I was wondering how to accomplish that type of painting in acrylic. I do have a question tho. Do you only use natural hair paint brushes or mix them with synthetic brushes as well?
synthetic
Hey, a question. I'm not really much of an artist at all, but a house painter by trade. My sister is an artist and on one job she did a smaller mural for a customer with latex house paints. She said she actually really enjoyed the latex house paints (Valspar sample cups) as they seemed similar to artist oils in flow and working time, though obviously drying faster than artist oil. Could I perhaps try to copy a Bob Ross video with latex house paints and use water as he uses thinner with blending/etc? Could I add extender to extend the drying time even more? Sorry if it's a silly question/crazy idea. Thanks!
i did this painting in acrylic, im not too sure with the science of oils
