Here is a tip so you can. The tip is make sure your tools are good. World's best paint with bad brushes is pointless

To think he spent 20 years in the Air Force, becoming a Master Sergeant. Having to yell at people and telling them what to do. When he got out of the service, he said he would never raise his voice at anybody again.

I also use these to fall asleep. Nice and calming. Only other videos I keep coming back to for sleeping are Danny from game grumps solo play throughs of space quest. Nice soft spoken gameplay without whispering (kinda like bob, but Dan gets excited from time to time and raises his voice). And nice retro 80s sound effects. Truly a happy accident dan had to work alone without his co host.

This looks peaceful until you try to paint along with him. He mixes so fast! And he does it on the spot. What do you mean another dry brush? I used all my brushes already! Ten pauses and an hour later I finally caught up. Lol this man is a beast of an artist.

As a kid, I used to come home from school so excited to watch him on PBS. I was always so amazed with how he could create an entire scene in just minutes. His personality was so calming and much needed after a stressful day. This man is a legend.
I have never been so mesmerised in my life as l was whilst watching this painting develop from a blank canvas to a work of genius. Mesmerising 😳

this man was a sergeant in the air force. i couldn't even imagine him yelling at someone giving them orders. he even said when he retired from the air force he wouldn't raise his voice again. He also said after a long day like that, painting was his peace.
"I was the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work," he said. "The job requires you to be a mean, tough person. And I was fed up with it. I promised myself that if I ever got away from it, it wasn't going to be that way anymore."

Apparently he does actually have a plan for what he makes, and he tests it out off-camera before filming, so he actually does these incredible paintinga TWICE!

Couldn't draw how I wanted for HOURS like I couldn't find any movation, turned this on and was immediately relaxed and able to draw freely without difficulty. It's nice to have a little reminder that drawing is supposed to be fun and it can be easy as well. Bob Ross is a blessing
This video is 5 years old so I doubt anyone will even read this but I have a little story I wanted to share that happened today. I have one of those tacky Bob Ross Funko pop dolls sitting in my window of my kitchen at home. I bought it a while ago and honestly forgot he was there. Today we found a little gift bag placed precariously on our porch. We cautiously picked it up, not knowing what it was. We found a card inside that someone had written that they walk to work each day and that seeing Bob Ross made their day, and that they wanted him to have a painting. Deeper in the bag was the smallest, sweetest little painting on a miniature easel. It was a painting from this episode. I just wanted to share. It was one of those moments I know I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you, stranger and thank you, Bob Ross. You both have inspired me in a huge way.

Honestly wish he could’ve been my art teacher. I once got a point taken off of my assignment because the tree was the wrong brown. Like, a lot of artists don’t go for realism lmao, but even so it’s still brown that I got from her art room.
