Another great tutorial! Gorgeous pattern! I like the way you don’t go off camera… even though you speed up, you’re still visible (so we know where exactly you are up to!!!). …and yes ugh 🥹 those ends!!!
My second comment, hope I'm not boring anybody. Most of my small bits of yarn is medium 4 weight and lots of different makers. So I didn't want to go that route. However, I did discover 2 sets of 3 weight bon bons of 20 different colors. I also found 2 balls of 3 wt in cream and a ball in a medium green and they are quite similar and I can always change hook sizes if necessary to make the yarn compatible. You can get lucky when you decide it's time to get organized! Can't wait to get started. Thanks Anita AND Robin😍 Ps: I even found a ball of 3 wt pink variegated for the centers.
Ms. Robin, thank you for your explicit directions on how to join blocks. I have so many saved and refer to them as needed. You are amazing! Thank you! Blessings to you always. 😊
I love this. I've just completed a cotton bed throw and it took 6 months with my arthritic fingers. I was wondering what to do next and I kinda decided against another blanket but now I'm thinking I need to do this and you're so clear with instructions
Oh Bev I feel your pain - I have arthritis in my finger joints which flares up something chronic in the cold! I had to stop doing craft fairs, partially due to my RSI but also as in the winter, standing outside behind my stall my finger joints would swell up, go stiff and my chilblains on my finger tips would be so painful! 😬
This is gorgeous & so reminiscent of a hex granny Afghan my grandmother made way back in the ‘40s. That blanket kept me nice & toasty many times over the years. And her colors were beautiful & soft just like yours are. ❤ this will have to be my next blanket project. Thank you so much for this video!
Dear Lass, I love this. I am in my late 90s and I love the color. Crochet helps the bones in my hands. I have know one to give it to, so I will give to my visiting nurse Kelley. You are so clear abt your teaching and I can keep up, thank you so. Ann
Thank you so much. I've wanted to do a patchwork blanket for my bed since I started my crochet journey five years ago. So far hats and baby blankets are as adventurous as I've got as I've always been put off the joining up. I've not even attempted a granny square patchwork for that reason. But I have been inspired to start my longed for blanket after watching your video. I've never seen it explained so simply and so well. I've just put an order in for my yarn. And I love the way you join your new colour yarn, even that is simpler than I have been doing. Can't wait to get started.
This is such a pretty piece of needlework! I had no idea joining as you go could be so easy. I’m primarily a knitter, but love the look of these hexies, which would be a laborious project in knitting, but was uncertain whether I’d be able to finish such a project. I DO believe I’m going yarn shopping tomorrow. Thank you!
i crochet afghan/laprobes for my local veterans hospital and needed a new idea for my next one...i can't wait to start this pattern...it'll be a fun one... thanks!!!!

Another amazing tutorial! They are so easy to follow along even for a newbie like me ! I'm so delighted how beautiful my granny squares are coming out. More granny square tutorials please !!!!! 🙏
I like how you attach your new colour. I’ve always put the slip not on the hook first but seeing your way of putting your hook through the work then attaching the yarn puts the knot on the correct side thank you 🙏🏻. this is a lovely project 😘🇬🇧
I want you to be my neighbor!!! This is so lovely I wish my grandma's were alive, I would make each of them one of these. Such a well done tutorial. I'll be starting one for my granddaughter tomorrow for her college graduation gift🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I absolutely love the way your tutorial was put together and the way that you explained this made it so easy. This is my next project! I can't wait to go buy new yarn...❤
Hi from down under. Wow! Thank you. I'm learning how to crochet at 68 years old. I followed your video and have finished my 2nd square! It looks nearly perfect. That's due to your wonderful instructions and very clear and close filming. It's such a pretty pattern and keeping the centre in pinks and green ties it all together so we can really splash out on the colour. I'll update you when the blanket is done. Only about 100 hexies to go! 👍
I love this pattern, and your instructions are so clear. I also purchased the written pattern, but I always need this visual instruction. Thanks so much!
I love it! I love your channel. Your instructions are always clear and easy to follow. I’ve been waiting for a new crochet project and here it is. Going to look for colors right now❤
I’ve just finished your Granny Squares blanket, now and I can see that this will be my next project! Thank you for your lovely instructions. I’ve struggled with how to crochet for ages, now you’ve made it easy again! Cheers from Marilyn 💐🇦🇺
Robin, now I have so many projects I would like to do. This is so beautiful. I love love the way you joined the hexagons together. It looks neat and finished. It’s a must try #1 on my list now. Thank you so very much for your wonderful tutorials it’s always a pleasure. The videos along with the written helps so much; I’m a visual learner. 🧶gayle 💜💜
You’re so welcome. I think I’m finally recovering from Covid. So I can get on with my projects. Wish me lots of luck lol. My daughter and I share an apartment. I purchased some “BIG” skeins of yarn and Frankie (60 lb Australian Shepard pup) got to three of those big skeins faster than a bullet. I pretty much got them untangle but what a huge mess!! I purchased a crochet/ knitting bag. He won’t get ‘em anymore lol 😆. Have a wonderful weekend 💜🧶gayle
I am going to make another one of this blanket, but I will be making it in a lighter weight for baby, This is the most favorite of all the blankets I have made,
Thanks you for the very clear instructions. I am a beginner, maybe advanced somewhat but have never made any type of granny squares as of yet. This one really has intrigued me. I think I am going to give this a go once I have a chance. Thanks again.

I made a ripple afhghan for my granddaughter out of cotton yarn; it is a bit more challenging than acrylic, but has a nice weight to it
I bought Vive arthritis gloves from Amazon and they help a lot with the pain.
@@HookedbyRobin I have chilblains on my feet so I know what you go thru in the cold. Excruciating. Pain. I want to make this tho. It's so beautiful.
Nice hexogon! Joining the hexogons, we can make a ball shape & stuff fiber in it to make soft toy ball.
