Out of all the crochet tutorials I've watched from other channels, you have the BEST tutorials as you explain the steps so clear and precise! I always recommend you to my family and friends who wants to learn to crochet 👍 Keep up the awesome work! 😁
I love that you didn't edit out the little problem of the yarn getting caught or snagged. It shows it happens to everyone. Thank you for all these great tutorials.
Can’t believe I have now stumbled upon this tutorial. I hate blocking my work and this looks like a real time saver. The edges are nice and straight. Thanks sooooo much 😘
If only I could have had a sister like you (no such luck-5 brothers and none of them did crochet as a hobby)! Your crochet projects are gorgeous and so inspiring. Thank you for the really informative videos. Cheers form the U.S.A.!
“Omg Lol I give up” I love you videos and now I absolutely love your edits. Great sense of humour. Will try this one next. Keep up with the videos and just to let you know, you’ve made one night shift care worker smile during break. Thank you 🙏 😊
I love this scrap yarn pattern. Thank you for this very descriptive tutorial. I've been looking for a simple scrap yarn blanket pattern to use up all the leftover project yarn I have for months now. The way you connect each hexagon to the others is brilliant! My blanket has 8 pieces so far & loving the braided look joins, as I didn't want to have tons of granny squares and then have to connect them all together at the end. Your way, you just dc them together as you go, weave in ends as you go & it is a very simple pattern, yet looks more modern than the regular granny scrap blankets.
Love your videos!!! You are becoming my go to for ideas, techniques, and just everything crochet! I've been crocheting for 54 years, I know a lot! but, your videos are very well done and I recommend your to youtube channel to friends!!!
Hi, thankyou so much for this video tutorial on how to make Hexagonal Granny Square. I've never seen anyone show how to do these. I'm really enjoying trying out all of your Square and the Hexagonal patterns. I'm just doing them one at a time.. Thanks for doung these video tutorials. Happy Crotcheting. Take care and stay safe. Jen xx 💖
This is beautiful and what a wonderful tutorial. I had some yarn like this that I'd been trying to figure out what to do with for ages. This is exactly the right project. Love it! Thank you!
Your yarn and nails are beautiful. So it was a pleasure to watch. Thanks for the heads up that the sides, which pull in, sort themselves out when it is joined to the other hexagons. I will go and watch your square video, because I currently working on squares and wanted to make a pillow cover. I have watched many of your videos and appreciate the effort and advice in all of them.
Hooked by Robin ~ You are an excellent teacher. I have finally gone from beginner to intermediate and I love this hexagon stash buster afghan, especially in the colors you’ve used. Thank You for your excellent tutorials 🌷🐝
What a super video! Love everything about it. Terrific tutorial with beautiful yarns and a gorgeous pattern. And I am in love with that joining method---I've always hated the ridge that I get when joining motifs. If I can master this joining technique, it will give me so many more variations to try with favorite patterns as well as new ones. Thank you so very much!!
You are very welcome! I don't like ridge joins either; I've only ever done one blanket with ridged join and I don't really like how it feels on my lap - I'll always do a flat type join alternative if I can! 😃
I know this is an older video but I just finished a hexagon baby blanket using rows of pale yellow, light grey, and golden Feels Like Butta yarn - it worked SO well (thank you for being so detailed because I lovedddd this tight join once I got the hang of it). Your hex pattern in yellow tones made mine feel just like a beehive and I'm sure my sister/new nephew will love it. Now I'll just have to make your bumble bee amigurumi to go with it! 🐝
The colored yarns you are using are Gorgeous! This is a great way to use up scrap yarns. Had not seen a hexagon granny or the joining method before. TY!
Love this great stash buster pattern!! I hadn't seen this method of joining them together, it's BRILLIANT! Thank you so much for sharing this great tutorial of a hexagon....or is it square....no hexagon!! You're adorable!
Love this scrapghan hexagon video and love your yarn colors. Some people don’t like variegated yarn, but I do for it gives you surprise changes of the colors. Have you ever used sock self striping yarn in granny squares, rectangles and/or hexagons? Love to see more yarnscraping pattern videos. Love learning and listening to you Robin!
I love Magic Ring .... I don't like the chain ring... ( but I'm a spiritual person and anything with the word magic I'm thier as it could turn out to be a fairy. Mermaid unicorn. My hubby always says are you in Sylvia's world today....
OMG your colors are beautiful! I love that blanket! I'm going to try this pattern but I'm sure it won't look like yours. 😉 I love watching your videos - I have to say that you're my favorite!
Love this video! Just one quick question: if I were to make a continuous hexagon (as for a blanket or hex cardi), how well will this lay flat? Or what alterations, like adding a ch1 between clusters, would I need to make? Thanks so much!
I was just wondering the same thing. I love this pattern but I'm not a fan of doing a million little squares or whatever and then having to join them all😂 I like the continuous blankets.
2 questions: how do you fill in the other edge, thats pointy? And do you have some ideas for types of borders. Great tutorial, you are a fantastic teacher. Love this Hexagonal blanket. 😀
Fantastic tutorial! Curious about the sides that sink in that will be around the outer edge. when putting on a border, will that straighten out those edges too?
In my tight join as you go video for joining squares I show the back of this join (it's perfectly flat with no ridge at all) which will give you an idea as to how the back looks! (The video is here: ua-cam.com/video/NM-ri0nkdd0/v-deo.html ) Are you on facebook at all? I can send a photo of this particular blanket if you drop me a message to my facebook page 😀
Do you border this blanket? To give it straight sides or leave it bumpy so to speak? If so could you show a vid if u can how I could put a border on? I love your granny shaped blocks/pieces very much! Ty so much for your time .💜
I am cracking up at the little comments you put on the video starting right around 24:15 every time you say "square" instead of "hexagon"!!! So funny!!
Ok so I can do this join with a solid granny square but with the hexies I'm just not getting it. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Going to put it in time out and come back tomorrow.
Pretty yarn. Love the idea of stash busting and making it into a unique blanket. Great gift idea too. How do you make a 1/2 hexagon so you can add a square border? Thanks
How did you finish your blanket off on the outside border? Would you SC in each stitch plus a SC in between the clusters in the sides with 2 SC Ch 2 2SC in the corners?
Looking for the half hexagon to match? It's here! ua-cam.com/video/I1TPHJidiJU/v-deo.html 👈😀
Have you a tutorial for the other edge - the pointy side? Half hexagons work down the sides great, but how do you square off the other edges?
Out of all the crochet tutorials I've watched from other channels, you have the BEST tutorials as you explain the steps so clear and precise! I always recommend you to my family and friends who wants to learn to crochet 👍 Keep up the awesome work! 😁
That is so lovely, thank you Melissa!🤗🧶
I’ve watched several videos and you never that I’ve seen told what size and what kind yarn. Yours always looks so small? ‼️👵🏻
I love that you didn't edit out the little problem of the yarn getting caught or snagged. It shows it happens to everyone. Thank you for all these great tutorials.
Oh it definitely does Nancy! 😃🤗
What a wonderful way to join different colors together without one color being more dominant at the join. Excellent style and tutorial.
Thank you Tanya, it is lovely!😃🧶
Can’t believe I have now stumbled upon this tutorial. I hate blocking my work and this looks like a real time saver. The edges are nice and straight. Thanks sooooo much 😘

I really appreciate the way you fast forward through the exact pattern stitches. As always when needed it can be stopped and reviewed. Thank you.

I absolutely adore coloured yarn and buying yarn, opps!😅🧶
I would have never thought to do this! And i do like it much better than what i did on my turtle rug. Keeping this one.
What a great way to join hexagons/squares with join as you go. I will definitely try this one. Thank you
Love to see how you turn a hexagon into a square blanket.
Not only are these hexis quick, they look great on either side. Thanks.
Firstgo at join as you go - you explained it so well that I got it right first time. Thank you
Loverly granny square. I cannot wait to try a blanket with this stitch.
Thank you!😃🧶
I love your tutorials. You explain everything so well... and make what looks really difficult so easy to follow xx
Love this great stash buster pattern!! I hadn't seen this method of joining them together, it's BRILLIANT! Thank you so much for sharing this great tutorial of a hexagon....or is it square....no hexagon!! You're adorable!

I haven't used self striping for squares BUT I do have some here so will have to give it a try! Variegated yarns are my favourite 😍
You are a crochet genius. 🌹

It's the yarn doing all the work!

Mastered the join as you go, thanks to your brilliant video, and also the half hexagons. Now how do I make the wavy side a straight side?
Very nice and neat. 👍🏼
Thank you so much! 🥰

Robin i love this and the unique joing. Do you have a half hexagon granny to go with this
Hi Barbara, here you go:

Hi Shirley, it is cygnet boho spirit variant.😃🧶

Very nice luv the color combo's 😍
Fantastic tutorial! Curious about the sides that sink in that will be around the outer edge. when putting on a border, will that straighten out those edges too?
This looks much easier than the one I am using on an afghan I have started. Would you please post a picture of the back side of your blanket?
In my tight join as you go video for joining squares I show the back of this join (it's perfectly flat with no ridge at all) which will give you an idea as to how the back looks! Beautiful 🌺
Can you use any yarn or is there a type of yarn to use for this pattern? Can I used red heart? I love your work !!!!!🤗💕
I am cracking up at the little comments you put on the video starting right around 24:15 every time you say "square" instead of "hexagon"!!! So funny!!

i love this pattern; as a beginner i can do; do you think it would make a nice "bed" rug?
I’d suggest make a sample then seeing if you like it!😃🧶
Pretty yarn.
What would you suggest as a border for this blanket?
