I have been working with Unreal Engine 4 for the last month, but about 2 days ago I started working with Blender to do animation. This video actually helped me out a lot on what I am trying to achieve. Your videos are always great!
It's the same in blender. The default interpolation function is bezier. You can change and edit the animation by changing to graph editor, select location, rotation or scale and press "T" to adjust to linear or constant. Or use the handles in the same way as shown in the video. I hope higher resolution of this video will bei available soon. Thumbs up!
THANK YOU Andrey. I just barely discovered your channel, and this is by far the highest quality CG/VFX content I've seen on UA-cam. PLEASE keep it up!!
Бро, твои видео - лучшее что я видел!!! Сам болею 3d графикой с 2016 года, сейчас пытаюсь освоить Houdini. Продолжай снимать, у тебя талант объяснять, а с меня подписка.
Smooth interpolation is the true default of animation, as it always looks good. Moving objects as if they're alive or have mass becomes pretty intuitive. But, it should be noted that sharp and robotic interpolation/animation has its place too, although it must be very deliberate. Not very intuitive but it can look cool. It's like the choice to use very low frame rates.
In C4D the better way to do this is to draw a spine to represent your motion path, put a 'Align to Spline' tag on the Null containing your Cube and link it to the motion path you've drawn. Set keyframes for the 'position %' of the null along the motion spline path. That way when you adjust your easing you only have to adjust one bezier in the timeline for the 'position %', rather than x y z etc. You can also easily adjust your motion path in the editor (thought you might need to tweak the position % keyframe values afterwards). You can then add rotation to your cube, or better, put it in another null that you animate the rotation with. So you have Null.1(xyz animated automatically with align to spline tag) > Null.2(animate rotation of this null) > Cube. With this you can easily swap your cube for any other object just by dropping it into Null.2 Also the 'Align to Path' tag will have your cube automatically facing the direction of travel if you want to get extra fancy.
Animation is a weak point for me with C4D because I focused so much on rendering still images for so long. Have been quite uncomfortable moving to animated (had previously animated back on 3d studio 1.0 many years ago). I have the GSG Signal plugin to make life a bit easier. Good useful tip from you.
Like that was Doping sweet I think, Nice tip.. thanks bro. I just always imagined why why why the need for all that dope sheeting anyway. Guess this helped clr the air for faster smoother animation.
How did you composite the lights in that example at the ends for the car, and the sci fi luminous drone? Are you using a nodal software or is that done in c4d? can that level of fidelity be reached directly in c4d? special shaders if what not? a render tool like octane? please specify because it looked really good!
Awesome as usual Andrey :) Just a small question bro, how could I use matte painting layers in AF or Nuke for direct shot or 2.5 or pano scenes? Appreciate your assistant bro
thanks for your passion, it's just a wonderful lesson. by the way i loved those two lights bottle on your left hand. can you link below where have you bought those two bottle and thanks in advanced.
nice VIdeo Andrey!! if you are interesting on the feeling of animation read about The 12 Basic Principles of Animation from the "Illusion Of Life" by Frank Thomas & Ollie Johnston. (apply to all kinds of animation ( 2d and 3d animation ) 1. Squash and Stretch 2. Anticipation 3. Staging 4. Straight Ahead/Pose to Pose 5. Follow Through & Overlapping Action 6. Slow In & Slow Out 7. Arcs 8. Secondary Action 9. Timing 10. Exaggeration 11. Solid Drawing 12. Appeal what you talk in this video is the 9de one TIMING BTW: amezing videos as always Andrey !! and thanx for all your tips and knowledge
Hey Andrew, can you make an introduction to the nodes in Nuke and how to make 3d meshes in nuke. our lecture is making us create a scene by only using nuke.
Oh np just asking around you know. I just started my 3d journey with 3d max and was thinking how an animation goes from 3d max to different software and for what purposes anyway thanks for replying...!!!!

Any email to send a message to?
Dude.you are the best
Cheers mate
Hey bud can you make a video on how a animation movie or short 1 minute goes from different pipeline softwares for different purpose...!!!!
I can't. Every task is different. It may involve tens of softwares and tens of stages. There is no "universal" step by step brochure I'm afraid
Oh np just asking around you know. I just started my 3d journey with 3d max and was thinking how an animation goes from 3d max to different software and for what purposes anyway thanks for replying...!!!!
i wish cinema had edit speed graph just a lil more user friendly imo👍
I haven't seen anything more friendlier to be fair
WHAT ARE THOSE AMAZING LED LIGHTS IN THE jar?!
