1968. 1968 no such thing as auto tune. The voice of pure god given talent.
some people say elvis didnt have a great voice, they must havent heard this song cause hes undeniably great
Elvis was a 1 in a million personality and entertainer. He was loved all around the world. He is deeply missed.
No, Elvis was once in a lifetime, and his drummer the late Ronnie Tutt was outstanding!
1 in 10 billion
In my opinion, this is the greatest vocal performance ever by a solo artist! Sung with so much feeling and emotion. No other singer, past or present, can top this
so true
I totally agree 👍 👌
It's absolutely stunning
Beautiful, but the live Andy Williams' show with Righteous Brothers' Bobby Hatfield singing Unchained Melody is considered the greatest solo live performance.
Amen!
You are so right! He was the greatest entertainer of all time! And he opened up the door for all music genres to come! 45yrs after he left us, he still is loved all around the WORLD! Not many entertainers,if any, can lay claim to that!!! RIP Elvis
Amazing! Isn’t it? No voice dubbing, no computer controlled microphone, no editing!! He sang that in he special in one take!! The King of music!! My 21 year old daughter knows all of his songs!!!!
The world needs this message now more than ever.
I agree.
Finally someone admits it
If at my own funeral nobody plays this version I'll just open the coffin and leave 🤭🤭🤭🤭
Amen!!!! We need more people to sing and speak about UNITING US WITH LOVE ❤️ I’m so tired of celebs and prominent people getting attention and followers by preaching hate. We need more MLK’s and more Elvis Presley’s! We need to unite with LOVE!!! God wins with LOVE!!! I grew up listening to this song and I STILL get chills. Thank you for feeling this incredible human and putting it out there. I LOVE your reaction! ❤️❤️❤️ The world needs more love! Elvis was singing about a man he respected so much about losing MLK and Bobby Kennedy. There is a reason why this song resonates with all of us! Seek LOVE, let’s embrace each other with LOVE ❤️ Sick of the powers that be trying to seperate us. We the people have the power to come together and break the chains of hate. Thank you again for your post! ❤️❤️❤️⚡️ #tcb
Amen
Story goes during rehearsals ..1st , Col. Tom was bangin on the door yelling " No way...no message songs, etc.". He wanted the whole show to be a Xmas show, all Xmas songs,. 2nd, during first takes they had to start over frequently because the studio band members were so blown away by Elvis' power and emotion that they became spectators, some in tears. Finally, keep in mind that 1968 was a painful year for all. Assassin's took out MLK and then RFK. So, that shock and pain went into creating and performing this, my favorite, epic Elvis song. Also, he performed it many times mostly the same way but it's said his best by far was singing it lying on his back. You won't find many covers of this one. No one could
Elvis was and is still the complete package
1968
Love you and as my music teacher in college once said, "You will never find a singer like Elvis Presley, who could sing any different type of music more soulfully and majestically than anyone else!"
Elvis. No auto tune. Pure talent.
Man, I love that applause at the end. ELVIS is the man.
Elvis is one of the most recognized & famous people in music history, & no doubt, one of the most talented, however his heart & love for humanity, is his true legacy 💗💚💜 I wish with every fiber of my being, that his dream would come true right now!!! 💗💚💜 RIP **Martin Luther King** RIP **Robert Kennedy** RIP **Elvis Presley** 💗💚💜 3 amazing men, who tried to change to world for the better, & paid the ultimate price 😔 *GREAT REACTION*
If you watch to the very end, when he says: “Thank you. Good night”, you can see that he put his all into the delivery of that song and it left him breathless.
The voice, the vocals, the performance, the hype, the swag, the message, the music, the true feelings and everything else are way way greater and higher than today's standards of songs.
“This dude is different!” Yup, he sure was. That’s why we still miss him 💗
wonderful to see someone be Spiritually moved when experiencing Elvis.
ELVIS TOOK US TO CHURCH WITH THAT SONG HE SANG .❤ GREAT SONG WE CAN ALL LEARN TO LIVE BY .
Elvis was amazing: singer, writer, musician and man!!! So sad his manager ruined his life.
@Kristine I pray God may forgive me ...but I HATE so-called "Col." Tom Parker for the HORRIBLE way he used and abused Elvis for his own arrogant greed alone! He didn't care about Elvis's well-being; all he cared about was lining his own pockets!! 😠😡🤬😈
I've been an Elvis fan my entire life.... it's been a few years since I've sat down and watched this performance. I can't stop the tears..... That was raw, no ear monitor, live band off to the side, no vocal effect, no audience. Just Elvis giving everything he had during a very difficult time in our Nation's history. Elvis never believed it was his place to share his opinions on politics, worldly events, or religion. Although he had a deep religious belief, his personal thought was that he was an entertainer..... that was his God given talent and it was his talent he would share with the world. His words: "Id like to say that I learned
Very early in life that:
'Without a song the day would never end
Without a song a man aint got a friend
Without a song the road would never bend
Without a song... '
So I keep singing a song.
Good night.
Thank you.

Beautiful man, beautiful voice, beautiful delivery, that was, The King.
No one could sing like Elvis! He could do Gospel, Rock and roll, country, whatever...
I don't want to even say he's a generational talent, he's a once in a lifetime talent...this Song shows how good he could sing...
Eternal!
Sir Tom Jones, even Elvis said Tom’s voice was the best he’d ever heard and he was correct. Today even his 80’s Tom can still sing amazingly well. In his prime Tom’s power, range, tone and emotion was second to none. Watch him sing ‘never fall in love again’ in 1964 on UA-cam, all live with no modern technology, yet he’s just spectacular, all pure talent.
Love Tom Jones to saw both when I was a teen but Elvis was better live
@@bellabana, 🤣 Tom Jones are you serious? I'm sorry but that's a bunch of bull you just unloaded.
Love his gospels, especially ‘How Great Thou Art’.
My dying husband requested that version play first at his funeral.
This song was dedicated to MLK, whom Elvis admired. Respect.
We all reacted to him the same way. What a voice.
Elvis was the first of his kind. He is a legend.
Im glad the young generation still can hear and see the soul and heart of where music really began. Ive been elvis fan for 50 years and will remain his fan till i die. Thank you for showcasing the king for new generations to hear
Elvis will always be the King!
ELVIS THE KING 👑 He was truly amazing, I think his voice is Hypnotising all you can do is just watch and listen in amazement.. I was born in 1963 loved the film's music 🎶 don't think they will ever be another artist like Elvis ❤️🇬🇧
Elvis was proof that less is more. SMOOTH!
Elvis was the best...
I remember watching this show on television with older sisters, I was 5 yrs old...
There's a reason they call him the KING!!
He is the most impersonated musician til this day...
The man was gifted with soul & kindness...
And let's not forget that he was a 😍gorgeous man!!
I am glad you were introduced to Elvis...
Visit Graceland if you ever get an opportunity...
I love the reactions from the younger generation who's getting a taste of Elvis for the first time. This is why his songs have started climbing the charts again due to the new Elvis movie which was fantastic. Elvis will always be The King ! This was one of the best reaction videos I've seen. Thanks for that. New subscriber. 🥰
Great reaction video, I loved it. They didn't call him The King for nothing!
Yo I love your reaction ! No voice over no auto tune no lip syncing !! Incredible tribute to MLK
It was a protest song because Bobby Kennedy was assassinated during rehearsals for the Christmas special. MLK Jr's "I Had a Dream" was the inspiration for some of the lyrics & title, but this was not performed as a tribute to him.
We played this song on my mothers funeral. She loved Elvis, this was her favourite song. Greetings from Sweden🙏💜
It was fun watching someone new get who Elvis was. This song was inspired my Martin Luther King.
This was recorded in NBC TV studio for his 68 TV special. No audience. Live, raw vocals though - you are correct.. compared to all the tech they use nowadays to make people sound in tune!! Great reaction x
The BEST all time live performance ever! I was very young but remember it very very well!!!
There was an audiance the whole show a very small one but that was the point. He hadn't been in front of an audiance for 10 years. He was so nervous. It was perfection
You must hear American Trilogy! His live concert in Hawaii was incredible!! There will never be another Elvis Presley EVER !
Elvis has always been the man. Cold chills as well every single time. Watched this on live tv in 1968
His red tie represented the blood of our Vietnam War’s young soldiers. I’m so, so touched by your reaction. You’re an inspiration, indeed! I grew up in that era and, yes! Yes! If anyone is not moved by this performance, I’m speechless. Elvis is not only the King of Rock-n-roll; he’s the King of COMPASSION. Thank you so much for your reaction. Perhaps many more people will open their eyes, AND heart. 💖
There’ll never be another Elvis
A lot of the hard rock bands from back in the 1960's were looking down on Elvis for singing ballads all the time, they're not laughing now, it is specifically those ballads that have withstood the test of time and clearly showcase his talent.
And this was sung Live! He sang Blurs, pop, Soul, Country, Gospel and Rock n Roll! Natural voice, no Autotune!
If I could hit your like button a million times I would!! For Elvis and mainly the meaning of this song!!! We should all be in the streets singing it!!!!!!
Elvis. TIMELESS
This is live on national TV 📺 in 1968 with an orchestra👏🏽 I was 10 and watched with my mother.
I love how every single person no matter what music they are into can feel Elvis and music. Gives everyone a feeling that nobody else can
When his country called Elvis gladly served. Respect
❤
Actually he was given option of going to jail or serving.
everyone else has talked about the song itself, and absolutely, it's an incredibly powerful song with an amazing, aspirational message that holds up even today, but other than that I gotta say: a pure white suit is difficult to pull off and make it look good, but if anyone could do it it was Elvis
3:10 'Elvis just went completely into my brain'. LOL, I love it! :)
Elvis was the best then. Elvis is the best now and. Elvis will always be the best forever and always will be
There is 1 God and 1 ELVIS 👑
Best voice ever ever. He was a good human to.
Gr from Amsterdam
My fellow Elvis fan. Fantastic reaction. I share the same birthday as the King, and have watched the Aloha from Hawaii concert every year on our birthday. After 65 years, I've seen a lot. Thank you for opening up, for really listening to the words, for feeling the emotions of the man. Even today after hearing this song, this version, this epic moment recorded for all time, I cry. Earth is in a bad way, humanity is struggling with many real big life threatening issues. Music has always been for me my connection to the world. May we all come to together as one people, and raise our consciousness up is my daily meditation. Peace to all on the path.
My 17 year old daughter LOVES that she shares Elvis' birthday too. 😎🤩🥰
He sings from his SOUL!!!!!!!!
What can we say? Speechless. Elvis is the King ever and ever.
anyone that's ever walked through his front door knows the unbelievable feeling you get when your at Graceland
For Sure!!! I visited there in August 2001 and was almost reduced to tears, I felt his Spirit as soon as I entered the front door of Graceland. It was an emotional trip for me!!!
Check out Elvis Presley and the black community that Echo will never die
שיר מדהים מלא רגש וכנות❤❤❤אהבתי את התגובה שלך🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍🫶🫶🫶
That tan that Elvis has is because of his mother’s background part Cherokee 😊
Thanks! I grew up listening to Elvis . My dad was his biggest fan. When he bought an album he bought 2, 1 to open and one never opened. He would sing Elvis non stop. My friends were like your daddy looks and sounds like Elvis and he looked but vocals mot as smooth. Rip daddy. I was made to listen and tell my dad the meaning of this song.
I grew up listening to Elvis! He could sing anything and do it well! I love his American Trilogy and Fever. Please react to these songs. I love how you appreciate Elvis! Thank you.
Absolutely LOVE your reaction! This is dead-set entertainment from the most gorgeous man who ever walked this earth! Have you heard him sing "How Great Thou Art"?
Elvis Is Gospel, country, rock, all in one.
Elvis is the GOAT. No crazy lights, smoke, etc. just pure talent. Knowing he was color blind to all the division that others want to divide us. Growing up in the ghetto really shaped his outlook on people.
Great reaction!! Elvis was amazing ❤
This is live the greatest performance no auto-tune just pure emotion
Tell your friends to watch this. He sang this after MLK and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated in April and June 1968. This was the most watched TV show in 1968, and is referred to as Elvis 68 Comeback Special. The whole show was great, as he sang some of his old hits in an intimate setting where he wore, black leather, then he performed elaborate gospel numbers with song and dancing. You can go back and watch his 1956 TV performances, to see young Elvis on black and white TV. Ready Teddy is a good one to start, as well as Hound Dog. Best wishes and enjoy your journey.
If I Can Dream ..... Was written by Earl Brown ..... For ALL the trauma that was in the 60's created by the Deep State ...... The killings of John Kennedy ..... Robert Kennedy ..... Martin Luther King ..... And all the killing of the soldiers of the wars ..... As the red scarf Elvis wore was for the soldiers ..... It was written for those reasons ..... And not just for just one .... But all the killings ..... Someone some-were along the line SOMEONE posted the rumor about it being for MLK .... And that rumor was born ..... However it was for all of it ..... So if you don't understand that the song was written for all ..... And not just one after reading this posting ..... Then you don't know Elvis ..... Then you just don't know Elvis .....Elvis sang it to the world ..... For all the death and destruction in that decade ...... As it not only hurt him ..... But the planet of people wanting peace on Earth ..... That the controllers fights ...... Every step of the way ..... UNDERSTAND ..... Cause once you know the real Elvis ..... You'll know a truly God given talent ...... And why he sang it to the world ..... {The reach for peace} ..... No Brag ..... Just Fact ......

Your reaction has as much depth and passion as Elvis put into this song.
He hits us big time with this one!
GREAT REACTION..LOVED THE PASSION AND VOICE FROM ELVIS
His voice wraps itself through your soul like some kind of velvet and it feels good. Elvis, the Man. ♥️
Elvis It’s a very special person he was what you call a phenomenon something that happens once in a lifetime
It is so much fun to see someone appreciate and enjoy Elvis for the first time! Now you see why he was one of a kind! None of the impersonations nor the movie in my opinion even came close to capturing the anointing and the beauty and gifting of that man!
The magic of Elvis.
Pleasure to watch people of your age start to watch Elvis ❤️
I was 1 year old. My family had the record. Listened to it my whole childhood. Epic.
You're right about him taking up the room. There was always an announcement made when he left. " Elvis has left the building" lol. I was 8 yrs old when he died and I cried as I put the news clipping on my wall. 1977. Also if you didn't know. His daughter married Michael Jackson. Look that up. Michael also tried very hard to buy the rights to his music. Michael even knew he was an icon.
THIS REACTION WAS BOSS!! ACES MY MAN!! ELVIS HAD AN AMAZING VOCAL RANGE THAT JUST RESPONDED WELL TO ANY NOTE HE DESIRED TO HIT. CRAZY
Elvis is the man my brother ❤💯
Omg. I was crying every time I listened to this song . Elvis Presley is the legend and is the king of Rock and Roll 🎸. This need to message to the world and the young generation.
Look up what now my love by Elvis. What a voice!
YOU ARE MAKING HIS DREAMS COME TRUE TODAY!!!! KEEP SHARING AND LEARNING ABOUT ELVIS PRESLEY 🎸🎹🎶🎺
My mom had an Elvis Presley picture in my room growing up , when he died my mom pulled the car over to cry 😞. Now I know why His music talks about Peace Love ❤️ and touches your heart 💜
God Bless You for keeping Elvis alive.
He had it all. For sure.
No auto tune or any of that crap, just pure, raw talent!
who else had auto tune when this was done?
Zappa troll how long did it take you to memorize everything? 🤣
Love your reaction. Elvis had that magnetism like no other. Do you know there's an Elvis biopic coming out in June 2022 called Baz Luhrmann's ELVIS - you might like to comment on the Trailer.
Such a powerful song and Elvis's rendering! Love the reaction. You should look into the entire year 1968: the year when it all seemed to come apart.
Hey sweetheart, love the reaction, what you see and hear is all Elvis, no auto tune, pure talent like no one else has or ever will have. The man was indescribable and magical to see in concert, and I think that Elvis is just as magical on video. Would you react to Elvis singing Walk a mile in my shoes and Just Pretend, and Bridge over trouble water. There all amazing, Amy Elvis song is going to impress. Keep up the Elvis journey you will learn so much about the man simply known as Elvis. TCb 1935 🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡🙏🙏🙏
This song meant a lot to Elvis. He felt deeply.
That's why he's the king!!!!
American Trilogy is another great Elvis song
The best... that was my daddy's favorite song. We sang it from a vinyl record on a console stereo every time I visited him until he passed away in 2002.
All Elvis had to do was sing at this point in his career... He was already the King for a reason.... the man's voice and message and passion he put into his songs...undeniable. Legendary... I was raised on him from my Mom and I thank her.
You can feel this deep down in your soul
I can see it in your eyes and face, the realisation and appreciation that you are experiencing the Elvis phenomenon. Lovely reaction. Do look into his life. From 18 years old in 1953, to 42 years old in 1977 this man recorded over 700 songs, in different genres from Rock and Roll to Gospel, made 31 movies and 2 documentaries, served 2 years in the Army for his country and gave away and raised millions of dollars for charities and people in need. Please do react
To more Elvis. 👌🕺💕
He sang this as a response to Martin Luther King Jr and Robert Kennedy being assassinated in 1968. Elvis changed a lot of people's thoughts in this Country and the greater World.
Preach Drayboe!!! Elvis rocks!!!
I saw him in concert back in 1973. And yes I'm old. And you are so right I've never seen anyone that can preform and put everything he has in a concert. I love how you react to him and your right I get goosebumps still. That's why they call him " the king".
Simply the king 👑
The voice, the king ,my love 💕🌺🙏😢💋
You are so right! It could be from today and still the best ever, great reaction!
"I Can't Help Falling in Love with You" is my most loved Elvis masterpiece.
Oh my gosh! You made me cry watching you have a true religious experience watching Elvis sing! He makes you feel the presence of God! Doesn't he? Thank you for sharing! Yee Haw from Texas!
