The pronunciation is not that bad, but being selective with a specific letter being pronounced according to the Classical Pronunciation while completely ignoring all of the other ones is weird. The "V"s, for example, were pronounced according to the Ecclesiastical Pronunciation (a voiced labiodental fricative) instead of the correct pronunciation according to the Classical Pronunciation (which would be a voiced labial-velar approximant). Considering the context of the game, they were probably aiming for the Classical Pronunciation, there are a lot of corrections to be made -- but in reality, it's totally fine and understandable that the voice actors didn't get an immaculate pronunciation of Latin, but it is weird to see people saying how they are glad the VAs pronounced "c"s as a voiceless velar plosive rather than a voiceless palato-alveolar affricate.

French and Catalan are weird, but languages like Italian, Spanish and Portuguese all sound like Latin.
That’s cool! Some words I kinda knew since some latin words sound the same in Spanish except latin has that flair. Wait is that why we’re called Latinos?
As a romance language speaker i naturally understand most of them
She rolls her R's so good
Sometimes I put Shadowheart in my party for a battle or two just to hear these lines
Some of the unused lines are from the previous games. I kinda wish they kept them as a nod.
Some of the others also could have been for cut spells like cat's grace and owl's wisdom.
That first dolor at 13:44 caught me off guard 😳
Im learning Latin in college. I first noticed the druids doing their ritual-- "hey, theyre all chanting latin!"
I think she had a hell of a vocal coach for that latin pronunciation because it sounds very italian to me, lol.
Also, as a portuguese speaker, I could understand a lot lf it.
as someone who studied latin the accent is actually pretty on point
Anyone realized that some of the unused ones were the incantations from baldur's gate 2?
AD MORTEM INIMIC- Ops, wrong game my bad

How did you get this voices? I've got BG3 but the data is zipped in a .pak format. I'm interested in male voices too for using in my VTT RPG games.
@@ruben6647 Sorry since this was a long time ago I don't remember how I did it. I do remember just searching up on how to do it online and came across a website where somebody had posted all the steps. If the archive is in .pak format you might want to give Game Extractor a try or even with VGM assuming you know the format of the voice files. And then to listen to them Foobar2000 would likely work. I had to use an internet converter back then since I didn't know foobar was a thing.
