I have followed your recipe exactly and the ribs are in the cooker and on their way. It's going to be a VERY long eight hours....hope I can hold out as my mouth is watering this very minute. Thanks very much for a keeper recipe for me, a 77 year old bachelor!😋
I made these ribs a few days ago. So easy to make. Tasted fantastic. My whole family loved them. There were no left-overs. Thank you Claudia. I have made a few of your dishes and have never gone wrong. Now I look for your recipes.
Did the addition of the chilli powder make them a bit spicy? I don;t mind spicy but my girlfriend doesn't so I may eliminate that part. Also, thinking to add a cup of apple juice.
As advertised, at the end of the eight hours, my ribs fell off the bone and were delicious. I would add one more step to the process, however. Because the ribs on the bottom receive more juices than the rack on top, I would recommend switching them about every two hours, and basting them during the switch. And if not each two hours, by the fourth hour at least. Otherwise, a great recipe, and a keeper for sure! : )
I used this recipe with beef ribs and slow cooked on high for 4 hours. Then broiled in the oven for a few minutes. It was so good. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this recipe! I tried this out today and it was tender and flavorful. I kept the juice that was inside the crockpot and had it on the side to dip. So bomb!
So, I decided to make these today and can I jut say how awesome they came out! I cannot get over how well and tasty these came out. If I am not using a BBQ grill, the slow cooker will be my go-to way to make ribs from now on. So awesome!
I made these today and they turned out fabulous!!!!!!! I cooked some foil pack red skin potatoes & onions on the grill to go with them. Such a wonderful dinner! Thank you!
Awesome, Claudia! Immediately after watching this video late in the day, I ran to Costco before they closed and bought the ribs, prepared everything so I can put them in the Crock around 4am tomorrow morning and then they’ll be ready for lunch after church. Add salad for a wonderful simple meal. Thank you. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks Claudia. I tried your recipe for the first time today!. With 7 hrs of slow cooking, it still turned out very well...the tenderized ribs falling off the bones!!. So appreciate the way you share...simple & easy to follow!!. Wishing you well in your cooking venture!!. 😊❤
Claudia, I’m new to cooking 🧑🍳 because my elderly mother can’t for herself anymore. I used your recipe on a RIBEYE and it came out amazing 🤩 She has a lot of frozen meats and poultry that has been in the freezer for a few months, so I’m using what’s available before I go out and buy new meats/poultry. Thanks so Much!!
Finally someone who knows how to braise ribs! Ive been searching for hours to find a way to make ribs like i had in Memphis and this is the closest i could find. Your the best!
@BarnesyInOz right! I tweaked her version a bit but add water to because the juice that's left over from the ribs will crock pot some chicken breast perfectly.
Thank you Claudia, I'm cooking mine right now. I appreciate how clear and simple your instructions. I am using my PowerXL Air Fry which is a slow cooker also. I will let you know how my ribs turn out. It is 3:53 pm in Las Vegas. As much as I love and follow Gina Young, I APPRECIATE YOU FOR MAKING A FIRST TIME RIB COOKER SO EASY AND SIMPLE. I will check back with you to let you know how they turn out.
I made these yesterday and they were so good! Much easier than my old way of doing in the oven and having a big mess to clean up. The only thing I did differently is, halfway through I rotated the bottom half to the top. My crockpot is very old and I noticed the bottom piece was boiling on low setting, and that’s when I rotated. I have a another crockpot but it always boils on low. I made my macaroni and cheese my kids love and gobbled up. Tonight is the other half. Thank you for the great recipe! I also passed it along to family and friends 🙏🙏
These look amazing!! I just purchased a large cast iron enamel dutch oven, so im going to try these in that. Time should probably be cut in half or less?? Also im diabetic and there is a TON of sugar and sweetened bbq sauce in this… don’t know what i can exchange for that?? Can use maybe a 1/4 of the brown sugar, and get sugar free bbq sauce? Is anyone in the same keto boat??
This is almost identical to how I make my slow cooker ribs. The only difference is that I finish them under the oven broiler for a couple of minutes. So yummy! Thank you, Claudia.
@@tsaunders4684 Just two minutes or so. You can leave them a little longer to get a bit of caramelization but you really have to watch them so they don't burn.
Wow I never knew you could make ribs like this in a slow cooker. They sure look incredible and I can’t wait to try making them. Such an easy recipe too. Thanks sweet Claudia! 😍
Just made these. Super tasting. All I did different was I wanted Hawaiian style so used Sweet Baby Ray's Hawaiian style sauce and added onions, crushed pineapples, and pineapple tidbits. It was Soooooo good.
Just made the ribs today. They came out excellent. The only thing I would do is substitute for smoked paprika rather than non smoked. Thanks for the recipe.
I have never made ribs in the Crock-Pot but I've always wanted to, these videos are so helpful nowadays! The only thing I will do is take them out of the Crock-Pot and hit them under the broiler to toast them up a little bit
I use a seasoning shortcut: Bad Byron's Butt Rub for the rub; I also cut the racks into smaller sections of 3 ribs. This way, I can fit more ribs into the slow cooker (I use a 7 qt, and can easily fit two full racks of baby back ribs).
I'm definitely going to try this recipe. But i like my ribs pull-of-the-bone tender more than fall-off-the-bone tender. So I'm going to try reducing the cook time to 6 hours. Thank you so much for sharing!
It's January 2023 and I'm finally buying a 6-quart slow-cooker for ribs and a roast, both of which I have never made. I saw a video where you rub the ribs with honey before adding the seasoning so the seasoning will stick better. I'm going to try that.
Girl I have the same crockpot! I hope that mine comes out this good. Most people stand the ribs up inside the pot but I see here that they cook just as good laying flat. I definitely will try this. Thanks
I’ve never used a slow cooker or a multi pot cooker, but intend buying one soon. I see you use the Crockpot slow cooker, and your recipes turn out great in it. As I already have a stove top pressure cooker which works well, I’ll get this for slow cooking.
Ok Mama I’m doing these today. I have NEVER cooked ribs but I sure have eaten my share! Using 3 1/2 lb pork back ribs (baby back pork). Me and the Missus in for a real treat tonight!
Thank you, I was looking for a good recipe and directions - I'm going to follow it...and in eight hours I'll be in heaven. Great presentation, I liked it so much I subscribed😁

Thank you for the Recipe! Already got my Ribs in the sink to make this tomorrow! Thankfully I had all of the ingredients already 🤍🤍 They look so delicious 😋
Wow that looks amazing!!! I always do mine with apple juice and Hickory smoked BBQ sauce but I've been wanting to try other recipes and yours looks awesome. Gonna try it this weekend.
Update: They were amazing and I'll definitely be using this recipe again. I should add that I always put my ribs in the oven about 2 hrs before they're done in crockpot. I give them another slather of bbq sauce and bake on low till they look nice and delicious. 😋

That's such a great idea 👍👍

What's the temperature of the broil and for how long?

Any time you open the lid on a crockpot you have to add another 30 minutes of cooking time.

Omg how splendid it turned out also I could of sworn I smelled the aroma through the screen lol
How do you keep it from burning without water? I've never seen my family use a crockpot without adding a bit of water.
You could add onions and/or bell peppers for moisture. You don't need water.
Time to order a slow cooker. Them ribs looks glorious! I'm a grill guy but this is great for the winter dish.
Great but what temp is low on you slow cooker/
My goodness, I can almost smell it cooking. It looks delicious!!
Hello, sweetie!🌷 can I add onions, baby carrots and potatoes, and would everything be cooked in low and 6 hrs, like you said…? TY🌷😉

Do you need to put some sauce in bottom before adding ribs?
You shouldn't have to as the ribs create their own juices and will cover the bottom on their own.
