I used to live a few meters away from his very first restaurant like 13 years ago and ate there a few times a week on avg for 5 years almost, it was still a bit expensive but it just on that sweet spot where it was definitely worth it. Some restaurants it’s not about the food but it’s about the service you get with the meal, plus how the atmosphere is. So if your only going for steak to be impressed just make it at home or go to a local good steak place.

At $1600 then yes that food better be a 10 and the service better be a 10. That is the cost of a decent apartment’s monthly rent. If it’s only experience and atmosphere then bring that price down by $600. I know places that have great experience and atmosphere like this place that are far cheaper for a steak. And yes I know that some places are even more expensive. At that price though, the quality of every aspect of the restaurant need to be at least a 9 or 10 to be considered worth that much.

Salt bae is entirely overpriced. All the restaurants are a gimmic where you’re paying for the over the top service. You could get better quality cuts from a high quality butcher who will tell you how to cook it properly for a fraction of the price
