Love this stitch! So easy and I call it a "mindless stitch".....one to do when watching TV! We senior citizens with failing eyesight need more of these! I have so many ideas to use this pattern for! Thanks so much Hon for this beautiful and super easy pattern. Big Hugs to YOU!
You are so good at being clear in all of your videos, super helpful for a beginner like myself! Thank you for helping me get started in Tunisian crochet!
I love this pattern! I was able to modify it a bit into a 6 row repeat instead of 3. The first 5 rows are the same but on row 6 I start with the XL front post DC in the 2nd stitch before doing the same 3 stitch 1 XL post DC repeat across. It ends with a front post DC on the 2nd to last stitch and a simple stitch on the last end stitch. The rows end up staggered so it looks like brick instead of a grid. Works perfect with my brick colored yarn!
Always a great tutorial! You always teach with such great detail and verbal instruction! Thank you ! Such a pretty stitch… ❤ 😊 wishing you a wonderful day 😊
Thanks Toni I said 2024 would be the year I learn something new and this is it!!!! I have several hooks that someone gave me. I will start with a simple scarf and go from there. Thank you so much
Love this it looks fancy but clean and clear not frilly at all as fancy crochet stitches often tend to become (especially normal crochet) this is something I could make for my brother or husband without them thinking it looks silly for them.
OMG I’m soooooo happy been watching you since I started up crochet again and time an time again I could not even crochet neat tension was gone with the wind wool was splitting it was murder listening and watching you and your reviews the penny dropped I had brought rook load of yarn only to realise it was crap I know they say workman blames his tools but it was true in my case I watched reviews on several people about wool and I just realised cheap isn’t good even to knit so off I went found love crafts on here and decided to order several colours of paint box jesusssss I was whizzing away felt right at home again like driving a brand new car so smooth I’m still learning but it’s now a pleasure as any mistakes now is down to me the wool is working lovely found Tunisian easier even my tension was good so yes I’m one happy ball now loving life lol 😂
You are a fantastic instructor!! I was taught tunisian many years ago. But forgot the end stitch. You have shown me the correct way very easily PLUS a new way to tunisian. I'm finishing a project basic tunisian now but next project will be various tunisian stitches blanket. You have made the new stitches very easy for me to learn. Thank you so much.
Thanks for this excellent tutorial. I haven't done any Tunesian crochet, but you made everything so easy to follow. As an aside, I love your nails. So fun!
I found this as part of your holiday sampler 2020. I made the entire blanket in less than a month and learned a few things about myself. Now I have several of the stitch videos on my watch list to.make scarves this fall. This stitch is becoming a pumpkin theme with green borders and orange in the squares. It is turning out great. Thank you so much for these easy to follow videos!
I would like to thank you very much Toni for introducing me to this wonderful crochet hobby. I looked at your hook reviews, decided that I liked the look of the Denise set. Searched Australia and found a supplier, got an extra long cable for when I make blankets and away I went. It's summer here now and too hot for crocheting blankets and besides wool makes my hands sweat so I bought some cotton yarn and have been making wash cloths for Christmas presents. I made a couple using the pinwheel two coloured pattern, two using another of your patterns and now I am on to the block stitch. I just love it am so happy that you have taught me. I had seen this before but you are by far the best teacher. I have learnt so much from you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Relatively new crocheter (but now retired pro dyer/weaver who started as spinner with own flock and crocheted a bit then, but mostly knit) who has become entranced by both overlay mosaic crochet but also Tunisian (bought the Knitter's Pride interchangeable set from your recommendations--to be sure I really wanted to continue with it)--and after doing test swatches of this stitch (brought here from your Mulberry blanket pattern)--and after doing it thought--hmmmm, why not mosaic, seems possible--and discovered it is. Bought your book also so I'm learning Tunisian but really excited that its possible to do overlay mosaic with it too. Opens up all kinds of possibilities it seems to me. Love your tutes BTW---when I was first crocheting and knitting with my own yarns, I had to learn from books--what a change it is to be able to find a video of a stitch actually being done--not sure if I would have figured out the xtralongFPSC or not from the Mulberry blanket instructions LOL. Thanks for your very well done videos--and the subjects of them.
Yes agree with comment below so calming and yes looks so easy I’ve been watching and trying for last 3 days (not this pattern) but kept failing went back to it today and yes just off I went couldn’t believe myself love to watch her she is great
I am so happy I found you. I have always loved the Tunisian crochet, but it never seems to work out well when I do it. Until you! Thanks for such great videos, clear instructions and you have a soothing voice, so it’s pleasant to listen to you while I learn. I’m elated to work on new projects in an area I’ve dreamed of for a long time! Keep up the amazing work.
I love watching your tutorials! I have been crocheting since I was 10. I wanted to update my crafting now that I have tube to get back to it, after kids. 😂. I have watched others but yours are very clear and simple to follow. The others make the process of crocheting more difficult, even for beginners, than it needs to be. You can tell the ones that learned from others on UA-cam with bad habits. They care on bad habits to set up their own channels. Just to set up their own channel. 🙄... Your channel is the only one I will watch for Tunisian crocheting new stitches. Thanks for your great work!
The hardest part of this easy but effective stitch is remembering to not work the last 2 stitches when changing color. I love the look of this stitch.Thank you Toni for presenting this stitch and teaching it so well. Now, if I can just remember not to work the last 2 stitches before a color change!
You just got a new subscriber! Thank you so much for showing this in a simple and thorough way! You make it so easy to understand. Fan for life right here
Thank you for this tutorial. I have watched so many of the ones you post. Can you also show how the back looks? I like the back of my work to look as well as the front, especially on scarves.
Being a crochet fanatic for years and years. I thought I always had my tension right., but with this Tunisian stitch, every time you have to reword your tension, but I love the challenge. Could you also step by step walk us through a pattern, as in a shawl or sweater?
I would like to learn Tunisian cable and leaf stitches. I can send you pics of a blanket that I made years ago. I have since forgotten these stitches. Thanks for this video🙏🏾🙏🏾👌👌
Hi Toni, Thanks so much for this great video. Your way of teaching is so clear, you’re my favorite. I have a question about the block stitch. I’d like to make bigger squares, basically one equaling what four of the done block stitches is. I was wondering if this might work: if I just did the extended bar Stitch after the two rows but without the whole row, then two more of the other color, then the whole row in second color with more extended bat stitches. I hope this makes sense. I’m thinking I’ll have to carry along the yarn though, and that might cause a problem. Thanks for any input you might have.
Thank you for sharing and I always wonder how that was done I'm definitely going to go try it thank you very much and God bless you and have a great week.
I showed the pattern to my friend and she likes it now she wants me to make a scarf for her and it's coming out pretty good and I thank you very much. And my husband said it look good and he likes it too.
Thank you for being so descriptive in your instructions. Very easy to learn from your videos. This is my first time doing Tunisian crochet, my question is does it always curl this much and does it curl less than more you get into the project? Should I block whenever I’m done to stop the curl?
OMG I have only returned to crochet after 30 years and I am totally addicted so many things I want to make and now I made the mistake of watching this video and want to try it, decisions, decisions, decisions 😳😂
I think when you do the .long bar stitch( It helps to have two colors .., because it is easier to find the row (below) to do the bar stitch:) thank you!!!!👍🏻🍀💕🙏🏻
Thank you for this beautiful stitch tutorial. You always explain stitches wonderfully. If I were to make a baby blanket, it looks like I may need twice as much of the square fill yarn as I need of the TS front post stitch. Is that accurate? 😊
I love how smooth you crochet. Its like visual asmr. Whenever I want to learn a new stich you're one of the first I watch. Great teachings.
Asmir
Trying to look up the word. Sorry.

I also love your "staggered bricks" info. Wrote it down along with her video pattern to keep. Thank you for sharing.
Look to see a photo of that ❤
You make it look so easy. I have been crocheting since I was a teenager but this style is new to me. Thanks for being such a good teacher.
