Played the first Helldivers for at least 5 years. The musts of any mission were the shield generator and expandable anti tank (Eat17). Then 2 napalm strikes to control an area or beacons when i didn't wanted to engage.
I know this controversial but I love the smoke orbital. A lot of people prefer damage but for me if I'm being lazed or need to advance I carry this with me so that my team and I have a chance to advance or retreat. Yes the enemies will still shoot through the smoke. But I'd rather blind fire than accurate fire
There's two broad categories of offensive air support: orbital strikes, and Eagle fighter strikes. Ship-fired artillery tends to be pretty straightforward, usually with some time lag between call and impact, and are usually just on a single-use cool down. Eagle support is all loaded onto your ship's fighter/bomber, and has ammunition for each one you bring. When you call in one Eagle stratagem, all of them go on short cooldown until the fighter can get back into position for another pass. When one Eagle strat is out of ammo, it won't start to refill until the fighter is sent back to rearm at the destroyer for a few minutes, which it will do automatically if you use everything. Bringing multiple Eagle strats lets you put down a lot of focused firepower in a short time with a relatively low downtime, especially when upgraded.
They removed so many old drops, like the mech, apc, REC gun, hopefully they comeback with a update
Mech is already confirmed to be making a return soon

They removed the heavy machine gun from the game for some reason
1:50
Also Quasar Cannon.
My guess is that they weren't ready for release day and it was an oversight why we could see them.
I looked Into it and got an answer about a dissident in R&D releasing future tech to early, so yeah, there we go. It'll come with the Exo's probably.
I hope they add back the mechs, It was one of the reasons that made me love that game
The eagle strafing run is much worse than today a10 strafing run.
I see a lot of call in strikes, what is the big difference between all these? Especially in the beginning. Or rather, why so many?
They are all different. Different patterns or bombs sizes. Some are better for taking out large groups. Some are better on armored units.
@@chunkycornbread4773 I see, thanks for the information. Thinking about getting the game or not

GIVE ME MY QUASAR CANNON
Wait there's a heavy machine gun? Why don't I see it on my game?
The Strafing Run is kinda disappointment in term of sound effect compared to Helldiver 1
Hope we get mortar in future
You mean manual motars?
thxs for the vid
Im disappointed that the mechs didn’t come back from the first game
They are, likely 1st content drop
I just want the tank.
Coop on vehicles in general will be great.
Even the bike was great fun
If they implement planes, Helldivers 2 will become Starhawk
