I think the best substitute for straight bar curls is to use the cable curl straight bar because there is enough mailability to take some load off your wrists and forearms. Also, I swear that when the resistance comes from the middle, it makes a difference on shearing forces though I have no idea how to describe that in physics terms. Plus the fact you can place your thumbs towards the outside of the bar for sort of a more slightly neutral supinated grip.
I think Mike would not have minded any critique. As long as its wel argumented. He build up on Arthur Jones foundation and others😮 like you are building further up on it. Sharpenig and refining it further and further .
Love your channel. I agree with you. I personally modified Mike Mentzers The Ideal Routine by substituting other exercises but still trying to prevent minimal overlap between body parts. We all need to experiment with what routine produces strength increases with being mindful of minimizing injuries. Keep up the good work dude 👍
Cool stuff man mike did have his clients super set pullover natilus with pulldowns btw. In one vid he says to do superset pullovers with lat pullover 1 set then bentover row 1 set. Which is what i do then sometimes throw in seated rows then 1 set then shrugs

I think the best alternative is dumbbell curl performed supinated as it was a barbell curl.

Agree but Mike Mentzer said that he has not the last word in fitness.
