Keep ascending Jay! Hope to meet you in Tampa someday and train with you. I'm learning that training with a trainer or reliable training partner is a great way to get past mental barriers and get to 100% intensity! Love this Jay and keep it up!
I think the “magic bullet” people are looking for comes from a trainer. An instructor can provide a MUCH more intense workout than we can do on our own.
Awesome workout here, i had actually been doing this woth myself challenging my sets, stopping midway with pauses then reversing and continuing without locking out on dips for example. So much to what HIT truly is
That's fine, but super slow 10 concentric 10 eccentrics and super static protocols with a stoic approach like a gymnast or a dancer r the path of perfection for sure
Great content Jay. The last one, MEDX DIP, is finisher for chest and triceps, or only for triceps? Seated dip machines are mainly designed to focus on triceps, so I'm curious about MedX Dip.
Love the video. Get content as always. Keep up the good work man! PS: One question: Any reason for the faster concentric repstitions? (something to do with the machines?)
Hey Jay, could you have gone to Gainesville Health & Fitness to use the X-Force there? just asking because I think you're in Tampa and that would have been closer.
He's using *_X-Force_* machines (out of Sweden). These machines increase the force in every eccentric part of the rep by 40% (and then reduce it back down to baseline for the following concentric). That's why you see movement in the cabinet next to the machine Jay is using. It's tilting the weight stack. The particular gym he is in is called *_X-Force Philadelphia._* See the first link in the description.
Xforce machines. They tilt the weight stack 45 degrees on the lifting phase to reduce the resistance. Then tilt the stack back to comptlely upright to raise the resistance on the negative phase
@@JayVincentFitness huge nervous system effect from a workout like this. Takes a while for the nervous system to rebalance. That's probably why you have poor sleep on workout days.
@JayVincentFitness i know you're not big on unnecessary steady state but maybe a long walk and a lot of fresh air would help. I imagine you put all devices away and turn all the lights low or off an hour or two before bed? And I'm sure you don't eat too close to bed either. I know you're not big on it either but maybe some light stretching would relax your body enough to get that good rest. I feel like that would be the most important day to get a lot of sleep after that massive workout.
@@JayVincentFitness Me too! Don't exercise after 6pm because due to the fight-or-flight effects the adrenal medulla produces a hormonal cascade that results in the secretion of catecholamines, especially norepinephrine and epinephrine. The hormones estrogen, testosterone, and cortisol, as well as the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, also affect how organisms react to stress; the hormone osteocalcin may also play a role. This response is recognized as the first stage of the general adaptation syndrome that regulates stress responses among vertebrates and other organisms.
What are your thoughts on training muscle group 2-3 times a week doing 1 set of 0 RIR? It seems that it would produce better results since you can recover from 0 RIR much quicker than from set of balls out to failure and at the same time it is as much hypertrophic.
Based on the current literature, higher frequency does not result in over all better muscle growth in the long run. It might have a slight benefit in the beginning, but your genetics ultimately determine your results.
@JayVincentFitness well in the long run it probably wouldn't matter if you trained once every 2 weeks, but in one case you would max out your potential in 7-10 years, in other it would take you 20+ years.
If you want to absolutely maximize their growth… probably. But if you’re not interested in completely maximizing everything, they’ll certain grow substantially without direct work.
So you think people just grow indefinitely lol I’m 220lbs. And TRT isn’t steroids. It brings you to normal levels if testosterone. Also… I don’t do super slow.
I’m actually 15lbs heavier than I was 5 years ago. Nor do I always recommend just one set. Proving once again. Literally every thing you said was wrong in a weird attempt to soothe whatever internal demons you’re facing. This isn’t the place to do it dude. Talk to someone.
I'm going to chime in here because this comment is very ignorant. low sets do work very well, and Jay's weight hasn't changed much have u ever heard of reaching ur genetic potential. I recently tried going slow it is brutal try it bud.i don't always agree with everything Jay posts but ur just hating.plus those machines look very cool to try.
It works just as well as anything else. Any size over the natty limit is a result of ped use, more aas = more size On TRT doses or even "sports TRT" someone is not going to be much bigger than a natural since the whole point is to have the maximum natural attainable levels of T
Katie is a rockstar in the training world and gave Jay a run for his money. Great job by both
That's what he gets!!! Not so easy right Jay!!! Lol 💪🏻
1. Hip Abduction Machine
2. Leg Press
3. Leg Extension
4. Pull Over Machine
5. Seated Row Machine
6. Chest Fly Machine
7. Chest Press Machine
8. Triceps Extension Machine
9. Biceps Curl Machine
10. Seated Dip Machine
I trained at an X-force gym in Stockholm last week and I can confirm that those machines are brutal and very effective.
those machines are so cool
Yeah they are
You were up my way! Leading by example even the best trainers get more from a trainer!

Man I visited Tampa earlier this year, didn’t know that’s where Jay stays at lmao. Maybe I’ll get a session in w him one day
Awesome workout here, i had actually been doing this woth myself challenging my sets, stopping midway with pauses then reversing and continuing without locking out on dips for example. So much to what HIT truly is
Damn! Would love to come out there to get a workout like that. Once I reach your level Jay 😎 thanks for the video
Great work Jay!!!!
Looks futuristic. Turns out they have several locations across Europe too 👌
Never seen that equipment before. Looks fancy and tough as hell.
super fancy. beautiful. and BRUTAL
Sadly we had to put the last two of those away in our gym. We couldn't get a hold of the necessary parts when the machines started to malfunction.
Great video Jay! Clearly demonstrate the intensity required for muscle growth 👍
Jay obviously making some serious gains
It looks like Jay is working out in a spaceship. Lol
I was definitely in space after the work out haha
Nicee...keep it coming really informative
I love the good girl bad girl machines!
Man i gotta get out of this big rig!.... atleast for a while good job jay💪🏿
Nice HIT methodology, i had been doing a 5/5 cadence then doing 4-2-4 and eventually siilar to this 👍 💪
Jay we need a video reaction for this video where you break it down the workouts.
futuristic planet fitness. 😉😉
Katie is the ultimate High Intensity Trainer.
Nice leg press machine
She knows what she's doing💪
That she does. Killed me
You should review the gym monster 2 since it’s a home workout machine that can do these movements
Curious to hear your thoughts and comments on that tricep machine. 🤔🤔🤔
I really liked it.
Tyler Hobson design, iirc. It's supposed to feel great.
@@smartstrength4414 I’m curious to try it. 🙏
Those machines look like they're from OUTER SPACE!! *said w/ southern drawl lol
Yee haw
Jay, isn't there an X Force gym in Tampa ??
Fast concentrics just like the previous studio. Is this just as safe and effective as the slow movement you and Drew are advocating?
Only the change in direction have to be performed slowly on the concentric part, the rest pf the movement can be done afap
That's fine, but super slow 10 concentric 10 eccentrics and super static protocols with a stoic approach like a gymnast or a dancer r the path of perfection for sure
Nice jay nice
7:47 A device the size of a small car just to move a limb. Come on, seriously?
Some people are really into designing gym equipment. Everyone has their interests.
Dope machines. Same design as Nautilus. Any location in Los Angeles?
Im.not sure actually I'd have to look it up
@ thank you Jay 👍👍👍
That ending. :)
Great video , but...I'm still going to continue 4 sec push 4 sec negative when I workout
Yeah it’s just how they do it there.
I just want to know how sore you were after that work out!
Where can someone go to get worked out like this ?
Great content Jay. The last one, MEDX DIP, is finisher for chest and triceps, or only for triceps? Seated dip machines are mainly designed to focus on triceps, so I'm curious about MedX Dip.
The chest will naturally be involved in a movement like that. Not necessarily meant for one or the other
Love the video. Get content as always.
Keep up the good work man!
PS: One question: Any reason for the faster concentric repstitions? (something to do with the machines?)
thanks man
Looks like the weight stacks are pivoting so it's lighter on the concentric
@@19t2000 Ah very well observed. Thanks!
Proof read brother....
how long did this workout take?
Probably 45 minutes. Wasn’t rushing by any means
That's how you do it.
Hey Jay, could you have gone to Gainesville Health & Fitness to use the X-Force there? just asking because I think you're in Tampa and that would have been closer.
Yes and I have used them. I was just making a trip up north anyway so I stopped there
Bad ass workout 💪
Thanks man
i thought it was only one exercise per muscle group, gotta change stuff

I will soon
Holy smokes that was brutal
Yes it was

It’s how they do it at xforce. HIT began as a 2s positive

What are these machines, they look special when there doing that turning thing, what is that doing?
Xforce machines. They tilt the weight stack 45 degrees on the lifting phase to reduce the resistance. Then tilt the stack back to comptlely upright to raise the resistance on the negative phase
Use whole stack on Leg Press?
I have no clue how much weight I was doing honestly

I think there is too much volume for that intensity.
Its one set! what volume?
