Trumpet: Absolute Beginner Introduction

In this series we'll be talking through these 10 goals:
___ 1. Pick a few songs that you think you would enjoy learning about.
___ 2. Be able to find all 7 of your valve positions in order from high to low or low to high.
___ 3. Be able to hit 2 different partials on command.
___ 4. Be able to play a five note C major scale.
___ 5. Be able to lip slur 2 partials and tongue 3 partials.
___ 6. Be able to play a full octave C Major scale.
___ 7. Be able to count and play whole, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth note rhythms.
___ 8. Use your understanding of C Major to work out one other.
___ 9. Learn how to read sheet music.
___ 10. Be able to play a simple solo from beginning to end.

You're very welcome! Just remember to be persistent if you're new to trumpet. It's a REALLY slow start, but it gets easier and more fun after you stick with it for a while. :)
