But how did you remove the shaft part I'm having trouble finding how to remove it to replace the seals on tran
I dont understand the question
Please explain what the issue is
If you are talking about removing the cv shaft from the transmission you will have to snatch the CV shaft out. It is held in by a c-clip

This the 4 cylinder or v-6?

Did your intermediate come out of the bracelet easily? I'm working on a 2011 trying to replace my intermediate shaft but it's stuck in the bracket. I unbolted the bracket and it gets in the way trying to pull it out.
@@oaden0621 the intermediate shaft needed some persuasion, it wasn't that bad

Thanks for watching
@Slicpartna thanks for responding. I'm going to try using a slide hammer to get it out. It doesn't want to come out of the bracelet. I even unbolted the bracket to remove the whole thing but there's not enough clearance.
The slide hammer didn't work for me. T my intermediate staft might be seized in the bracket. Could you tell me how you got yours out of bracket?? Any tips would be greatly appreciate.
@@oaden0621 I removed everything from the car as a unit and then used a heavy rubber mallet to beat the shaft out.
It will come out, just stick with it.

@@oaden0621 hey hey out of curiosity
Are you trying to replace the cv axle?
Did you ever get the CV axle separated from the intermediate shaft?
Thanks for this video, better than the rest of them out there

Had just bought the replacement kit today. Was bummed I couldn’t find the repair book in stores for these model years, they only had previous generation. Thank you for posting, going to be changing mine very soon.
No problem, If you have any questions feel free to ask
Just changed it today. Definitely a pain in the ass if you don’t remove the intermediate. Found out it wasn’t this one that was the problem. Will be replacing drivers side in a few days as well as my ball joint and outer tie rod ends.
@@justinpuskasyes sir, removing the passender side axle can be tough if you dont remove the intermediate shaft. It can be done but it adds more frustration to the project. if you have any questions, feel free to reach out
When you replace one should you replace the other side also?
Not necessarily, the other side might last for years. I would only replace the other side if it was making a noise or the CV boot ruptured
Great presentation, thank you . I wish there was a camera feature for automotive folks that can get in there and show the whole process without interference.
Thank you
What size are the 3 bolts that unite the cv shaft and the intermediate??
I cant remember this size of the bolts, maybe between 15mm-17mm

Can the bearing on the intermediate shaft be replaced, or do I have to replace the entire intermediate shaft?
I am not sure on that
You probably could find a driveline shop that could replace it
Is there an issue with the bearing on the intermediate shaft

@@Slicpartna I think thats the rubbing sound that I'm hearing while driving. I haven't gotten under the vehicle while the tires are rotating, yet. But that's my guess. And please, correct me if I'm wrong on my diagnosis.

Where did u fill up the trans fluid?
There is a black fill cap on the top of the transmission. Be careful not to over fill it
