This was so helpful! Nothing has quite gotten rid of the anxious feelings and thoughts, but following the tips here has helped so much. I feel so much lighter. Thank you Dr. Snipes!
I’m so glad to hear that you found the tips helpful and that they’re making a positive difference for you! It’s a journey, and even small shifts in how we manage anxiety can lead to feeling lighter and more at ease. The fact that you’re applying these strategies shows your commitment to rewiring those anxious patterns-keep going, and be patient with yourself as you continue to build these new pathways in your brain. Which tip has made the biggest impact for you so far, and how have you incorporated it into your daily routine?
@@DocSnipes Aww! Thank you! For me, understanding that the brain will focus more on perceived threats was the most helpful. It lets me have more compassion towards myself when I find myself focusing on the negative more than the positive. Now when I'm anxious, I recognize it's just my brain focusing on a perceived threat and doesn't just come from nowhere. Knowing it comes from somewhere whether reasonable or not definitely helps me feel like I can come to a sort of resolution.
2nd week in therapy but have been exploring similar stuff on UA-cam and so happy I found u. Anxiety and eye contact my worst bc sometimes it could be a stupid pimple or something that I can’t stop looking at instead of the eyes and it makes the conversation sketch
It's great that you're in therapy and finding helpful resources online. Anxiety around eye contact is very common, and it's understandable that small things can make it even harder. Remember, you're not alone in feeling this way, and it's something that can improve with practice and time. Be patient with yourself and discuss these concerns with your therapist; they can offer specific strategies to help you feel more comfortable in conversations. Please share what you found most useful in the video. Also, if you're interested in learning more on the topic or browsing through the video library, don’t hesitate to use: allceus.com/AskDocSnipes. Additionally, keep taking those positive steps-you're doing great!
@@DocSnipes thanks so much for the response. I really am so thankful I came across your videos. I relate so much when it comes to how I think when I’m around people and nonstop negative thoughts after. I don’t know where my social anxiety came from. But I am now about 4 years in with it at age 34 and it’s a beast unlike any other. Love your Piglet analogy too! You’re the best! Thank u
@@DocSnipes HI Doc Snipes. I find lots useful. I am a CBT therapist in UK - Scotland. I am also currently in a course of Compassion Focussed THerapy - at this moment in time (tea break). I think a key part of what is useful is to have a video to talk about neuroscience. When I tell clients about this - and for me they get hope knowing there is an opperunity for change and gives motivation for change. You have provided key ideas presenting the science. This means Clients ihave hear from you and backs up what I have suggested. I must also provide the support as well. I have watched a lot of yoru videos from 2016 to now. I also recommend many clients to check out your channel. THe most recent one being the Wounded Inner Child - which i recommend to particular types of client. Your resoures are fantastic. Gold star. Thank you from Scotland. ** I meant to add my course leader back in 2016 recommended your channel to us during intial training. He is or was a psychiatrist with the NHS.

Thank you for watching the video and for your comment. Ketamine infusion therapy can be a valuable option for those with severe, treatment-resistant depression or PTSD. However, it should be approached with caution and under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional to manage potential risks effectively.
I hate my immaturity, hope I'm more aware of an ability to develop a better sense of blessing to others instead of my self empty insensitivity, thank God for he is good.😮😅
