A320 Descent Management - VVDN shortcut, glide slope from above.

ATC gives a shortcut on the arrival into Da Nang and a late approach clearance is given leading to a glide slope capture from above.

On Boeing aeroplanes you can simply join the waypoints without executing. Make a note of the calculated altitude at the start of the shortcut and then erase the modification. Next, enter the altitude as a constraint (at or below) and you can continue to follow the descent path indicator. You will be on profile for the shortcut, but the entire route is still present should ATC change their mind.
