- In this video I go over how to capture a glideslope from above. Whether the controller left you high, or you got high on your approach follow these tips to make sure you are stable before landing. With minor adjustments this technique can be used across all airbus airframes A319/A320/A321.

This helped me understand capturing the Glide Slope in general, and I’ve been killing it since. Thanks for the knowledge!
In real world this can a be very daunting, you need some experience to get these done correctly. Everything happens in a flash. Great video.
That's one of your "higher than a van full of hippies" situations that you say lol. Excellent video, thanks v1.
Oh gosh. This Second Officer really appreciates all your work.. Makes me wonder why I dint grasp it much sooner! Thanks a ton!
Glad to help
Thanks for dropping the pearls! Always appreciate you efforts to teach us how the pros do it!
Awesome vid V1! I’ve been watch if you for years now, you never fail to make lovely videos! Keep it up my friend! Peeeethreeeeeedeeeeee!😂
thank you fly guy!
Thanks for this. Been having so much trouble slowing down the flybywire neo in MSFS. This helps a lot!!
That is a nice piece of work! Can't wait to try it out!
An excellent and very informative video! So glad to see your content in 1080p lol
haha thanks! Ya I may not be able to stream in 1080p but I sure dont fly in 720 p
Nice and simply explained. Many thanks!!
Wisdom for the faithful. Gracias captain. I hope all is well and you are in the good side of Texas.
Thank you sir we are back up and running!
Thanks for the great tutorial! This helps a lot 👍🛫
Hi V1, very good video, would appreciate if you could do some videos covering more ecam failures such combined bleed / pack fail, thrust lever fault and engine fail with other engine with fire. Keep up the good work.:)
Those are golden and a great addition to the streams
Great and useful explanation ... Thanks !
Thanks mate - great tutorial 👍
Thanks ,so well explained
Great Video!
You are AWESOME bro........love ur videos
Great video Captain
thank you
Hey V1 what a brilliant video. I am planning to do my 320 TR this year, could you please do a video about RNP, RNP1, RNP AR, RNAV
Great Info Captain.
Excellent info
love these vids cheers
Very informative! Thank you😎👌
Glad it was helpful!
this helps me alot . well done
Great video V1 thank you
Best tutorial…!
Once again, great vídeo. Greetings
Thank you very much!
Thanks for this tutorial Captain, really beneficial on VATSIM. And may I know the name of the outro song on your streams? For some reason that song got stuck on me and I kinda like it. Thanks Captain, you're V1, cya!
Similar to what I do when I doze off and realised I missed my TOD by 100nm lol. Might have to use this next time I'm on VATSIM.
Cool, informative video. Thanks
Hi there,
I'd like to know if in real life, when you're using F.P.A 3° after your F.A.F, there could be instances where the descent rate isn't really enough? This is happening to me.I'm doing a VOR approach into LLFL, using the LSE VOR, for 35 L, and chart says to descent from 3000ft at 8.8 NM to VOR. When I do, I am always high on profile and have to disconnect AP to manually increase the sink rate. I'm on the MFS2020 xbox standard series.I have taken care of selecting the altitude above 3000 ft as you mentionned to avoid the aircraft levelling off before. Any thoughts?
Hey V1! Hope you’re good down in Tx 😂
Time to learn again, good times. :)
I realize it is quite randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Arian Ares Lately I have been using FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)
@Noe Caden yea, I have been using FlixZone for since april myself =)
@Noe Caden thanks, I signed up and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it!!
@Arian Ares Happy to help =)
Hey, how would you rate all the different A32Xs is the FF better than ToLiss or other way around, is the FSLabs better than the FF? would would be your tierlist?
Thanks. I wonder why dont u engage ap2 when u capture g/s? Is there any intention of you??(:
I’ll go 1 manage speed when I think I’m going to be high, 2 alt knob goes up, 3 vs knob goes down, 4 gear down 5 set missed altitude now(in case you never get gs captured later, the missed altitude should be correct also )
Nice! Happens far too often to me on VATSIM. Now I know how not to just nose dive it! haha
yes sir!
Are false glideslopes a factor in this case as you're intercepting it from above? Or as long as you remedy the situation within the cone you're ok? (Or do you have to make additional considerations on vertical speed, altitude vs distance etc?) Great video by the way!
I had the same question
If there's no base turn in, how far out would you set speed to 180?
Thank you! I can finally avoid going around half the time lol
Happy to help!
Hello V1, I'm an airline pilot on disability eventually going back to the Airbus, a new airplane for me. I watched your comparison video between Toliss and Flight Factor and concluded, system wise, that the FF was superior. I know time has passed since the video, so not sure what has changed . What do you think would be most appropriate for "pre training"? Thanks in advance!
Toliss for sure! I recently did a new comparison video that you might wana check out. But as far as ease of use to set up certain failures and such the Toliss wins. Congrats on your return to the line! Welcome back
@@V1Sim Thanks V1 for the timely response, your videos will surely make my transition easier. Now to buy a proper computer😎
Nice ! But should also engage ap2
What happens if inadvertently ALT* engages and level off above GS. How can you get back on without disconnecting AP and nose down to recover.
Go around maybe
hello, cap! is that accurate comparing with real mcdu that on the fslabs when i copy secondary f-pln from the active above the 10000 feet secondary f-pln follows the active like it is removing passed waypoints by itself from the sec f-pln same as active f-pln and it's no need to be copied from active after every waypoint?
Hmm I think I understand your question, but not sure so I’ll explain how the real MCDU works, the real airplane does not delete any SEC FPLN waypoints by itself. When you copy the “active” it will copy all waypoints that are currently in the active flight plan and they will remain there until you delete them or change them. For example if I load up the XYZ Arrival, then I copy that to my secondary and a few minutes later atc changes us to ABC arrival the secondary will still show XYZ arrival
@@V1Sim thanks 🙏🏼
What about that guy out east who gipwhizzin high and fast, so much so the gear refused to come down and described himself as "comfortable" when even ATC told him to spin off.
Can only think something was up with the air on that flight
Spoidbrake :) And you even had crying baby in approach just like in real life.
