I remember cutting Phillips screwdrivers in half roughing up the slick metal and chucking them up in old drills. You had to rough them up so they wouldn’t spin in the keyed chucks. We thought we were something then Makita come out with the very first cordless ones that I remember in we built a post frame building building in Myrtle Beach with two in like 1985 Wa Yea!!
Using the 4.0 Amp Battery with the Brushless Porter Cable, I can install a whole 50 piece box of 6" Trussloks without recharge
I have the older Porter Cable driver. I love that thing. I am sure there are better drivers out there, but I have abused mine in building a hand full of decks, handicap ramps, and weekly use on my hobby farm. The difference between the brands is minimal. If I would say PCs driver is durable.

Just put down 200 square feet of decking using Porter Drill, one battery 2 1/2 inch screws had battery left at end of day!
Yeah. They are under rated I think. Although I'm venturing off toward the DeWalt line because of tool selection.

I got a set of impact and drill porter cable and after a few months something failed inside the drill. I still have the impact but I moved onto Milwaukee.

I never use desalt I think it’s garbage every time I used it battery craps out on me every time I used one for some reason
I'm pretty happy with the Porter Cables, but recently I think my old batteries have reached their limits. I need to replace a few.
The dewalt DC887 has more grunt than the old dewalt you have there.
Yeah. It wasn't a "fair" test. But was just a simple comparison. They all work great honestly.

Milwaukee is very overpriced. It's all Chinese built by a Chinese company. The red really suits the tool.
