Sorry, but Stanley is going to be phasing out PorterCable. I like and own some PC tools, but the reality is they are being phased out in favor of Craftsman. Got an issue with this call Stanley, they own the brand.

The only tools the people who've actually done good work in my house have used is Portal Cable. It's definitely good enough for what most people are doing.

Yeah I've had Porter Cable for several years its a good brand ,. I've a impact driver , sawzall , drill .

I got a set of impact and drill porter cable and after a few months something failed inside the drill. I still have the impact but I moved onto Milwaukee.

I remember cutting Phillips screwdrivers in half roughing up the slick metal and chucking them up in old drills. You had to rough them up so they wouldn’t spin in the keyed chucks. We thought we were something then Makita come out with the very first cordless ones that I remember in we built a post frame building building in Myrtle Beach with two in like 1985 Wa Yea!!

I have the smaller version for T posts. It’s better than doing it with a manual driver, but not all that great. I now use a hydraulic driver on a skid steer. If anybody is interested in my smaller one, reply here and maybe we can make a deal.

I have the older Porter Cable driver. I love that thing. I am sure there are better drivers out there, but I have abused mine in building a hand full of decks, handicap ramps, and weekly use on my hobby farm. The difference between the brands is minimal. If I would say PCs driver is durable.

You can use more nut to make the bolts stronger. But it is a very good idea. I just bought one tool for $35 but it didn’t work the way it is supposed. I modified it with cpvc pipe to make go tinder to joist.

are porter cable and dewalt batteries are interchangeable?

I used a car scissor jack. Worked great.

Just put down 200 square feet of decking using Porter Drill, one battery 2 1/2 inch screws had battery left at end of day!

did you find that it was picking on corals ? I just got mine today and dont really have much in terms of coral inside. I only really want to get pulsing xenia , green star polyps and an Anemone , and does it pick on your feather duster worms?

I sent it back for a refund. Not so much because of the grill but because of the way the owner behaved. I ended up buying a Green Mountain instead.
