    I always thought the biggest problem with impact wrenches was that they sacrifice rotational speed for torque, so they take a lot of time to screw in very light screws that an impact driver, or even a drill/driver (or just a power screwdriver even) would take less time driving. But time seems to be the only compromise, apart from concerns of overdriving of course - but I think most modern impact wrenches have decent low-torque settings, so this is compensated for somewhat.

    Only concern would probably be watch for the effects of the increased ft/lbs or in/lbs and probably increased impacts just in case it might be a bit more aggressive than a regular impact driver

      ANY bits, adapters or connectors attached to an impact wrench, impact driver that wobble on a FREE/NOT UNDER LOAD tool.. it’s a normal phenomenon!
      and once you put it under load and use it for an application, it will drive steady and firmly.. why? because a pressure, power and torque is applied to the fastener .

    Tell you What That XR has more torp than a 3/8 impact wrench XR version. They are for two different jobs, try not to mix them up. Plus a Lug Nug needs a wrench straight, avoid loss in transition part.

      If you're looking for a good impact wrench, clarkes do one (corded) for under £80 I can testify they're very good and powerful. I'd advise against using an impact driver to remove nuts as they don't have the same amount of torque that impact wrenches do. Impact wrenches can also be used as impact drivers 👍hope this helps

    You can't control the speed of the impact driver; to use for any other purpose, except as an impact wrench.

      I imagine it's the same as impact sockets Chrome or likely to shatter. Set of impact bits is like 15 bucks or less at Walmart and Harbor Freight

    So whats the difference between an impact wrench and an impact driver? I guess they aren't the same thing?

    • @shaolinthumbs
      @shaolinthumbs 2 роки тому

      Impact wrenches shock seized on nuts and bolts to free them via high torque, also tighten on heavy duty fittings .impact drills are basically very powerful drills. An impact wrench can do what an impact driver can but not vice versa...

    Interesting item but I don't know about using an impact. Wrench is an impact driver as an impact driver tool usually has a few delicate modes on it and an impact wrench is more of a ball in a china shop
