- Hi Everyone,
Today I am giving you my thoughts on porter cables drill and impact driver. I have used them for the past 3 years and love them. But do I think they are better than Dewalt and Milwaukee?? Watch and find out - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
I've invested heavily on Porter Cable since 2012 and I have never had any issues with it. Both myself and my helper use them daily (5-6 days a week) in our job as a contractors.
My uncle is a contractor and uses these religiously, idk what this dude is talking about don’t buy um??
I have a 7 year old Porter-Cable 18v drill and I use it to make and install probably a total of one mile of stockaid fences so far. All I ever replaced is batteries. I still use it.
I have had my impact for over 6 years and I tell ya those impacts can take a beating. They are extremely reliable.
Been using Porter cable tools for yrs and they’ve been great.I have circular saw, saw zaw, drill and impact, jig saw, orbit sander, oscillating tool, flood light and radio.
Had mine for 5 yrs,, also have milwaukee, and I still use both. Both get the job done.
My dad got me a Porter-cable v20 drill in 2013 when I moved out and I still use it today. Most of the usage has been for hanging things in drywall/studs. Although I just did a big house project last couple of years and used the drill on tile and concrete. It got the job done and batteries are still good after all this time. Considering expanding my power tools and think I might stick with the brand. Mostly because I already have a couple of batteries, but the tool hasn't given me any reason to think the brand is bad.
Great tools they work well 👍
I’ve had the same drill and impact driver for 6 years. I use both heavily. Always gets the job done. I also gave the PC miter saw which is amazing and going strong for 5 years. My only complaint is not enough flexibility on variety of tools.
The only Porter-Cable tool I've halfway killed was a circular saw using it inappropriately.
I cut a hole through the floor of a 115 year old house lol. I went through the subflooring and decking in one go and the end result was some slop in the blade.
The funny thing is Porter Cable and DeWalt are both owned by Black & Decker. I have been using Porter Cable for over 20 years, the 20v cordless tools are every bit as good as DeWalt. I will keep buying Porter Cable as long as they do not get cheap and cut corners in quality.
I like the Porter cable Brand I believe it offers adequate performance and value for a homeowner.
Purchased my from Porter Cable 7 or 8 years ago and it still works like new,
that said i don't own anything else to compare it against
I've had Dewalt and Porter Cable, the PC is just as good as Dewalt!
Appreciate the review 👍
My question is, what is the Red Baron pizza box for? If it has an intended use after taking out the pizza, I need to know...lol.
What are the newest verion of porter cable tools? The "color" youre using or theres a newer version? Also, is it brushless?
Mine is variable speed… so idk what model you have but all 3 of my porter cables are variable speed like your milwaukee’s you showed
My step dad still uses Porter cable for his contractor business . He uses DeWalt and Milwaukee in his motorcycle shop. ( I bought him DeWalt and my mom bought him Milwaukee) Porter cable is not a bad way to go. I wish I kept my old ones and just bought an adapter so I could run them until failure
No ay mejor prueba que en metal...de diferentes calibres
I've used Porter-Cable for a long time and I have just recently bought their 8-piece combo kit which I love and for the record in my opinion they're just as good if not better than DeWalt, I've had DeWalt and I don't find them to be all that impressive. And besides they're both owned by Stanley Black & Decker anyway so in my opinion one is just as good as the other
I like mine fairly well. Number one up grade is get bigger batteries. The minimum I recommend is a 4ah.
I got a Milwaukee M18 1/4" impact and it zips lug nuts right off and back on. I use a 1/2" normally, I just did that to see what it could do lol.
I bought a porter cable kit from Costco . I knew when I bought it was lightweight, but I realize cordless tools were never going to replace serious corded framing tools . For heavy work I still get out the worm drive. But for overhead cutting or non repetitive drilling or any quick project I don’t think there is enough difference too justify stepping up
especially for drills. unless you're working in masonry there is really no reason to use a corded drill anymore.
I love porter cable, they don't do anything special or innovative since they were bought by black and decker, but I have used them for years with no issues. they are study and powerful. I have invested in both porter cable and makita and obviously makita is a much bigger brand than porter cable and makita makes some of the best tools on the market since they are one of the few brands on the market that isn't a ghost or white box brand. I have not noticed a difference between the 2 to be honest with you. if you're looking for an inexpensive brand that will serve you well porter cable is a brand to look into. just research the models you get because the brushless tools are kind of meh and cost more, but most of their stuff is tried and true.
Had pretty much all the Porter cable 20V. Just sold all of it because i just wasn’t impressed. I sold everything and went with Hercules. I think they are much better tools and the impacts are half the size the angle grinder doesn’t bog down and the 71/4 saw is a beast. They are about the same price as Porter cable and if you watch for sales they’re cheaper
How about vs craftsman v20??
Just ordered a 8 tool PC set for 370 bucks
Portal cable worked great they are cheap plastic cheap feeling but they work great could use better battery though.
do you like black & decker?
I got one had it for one month and the head completely broke off when I was drilling worst drill ever
The Porter Cable Impact Driver is a tough tool. Use it a lot. Worked with some guys with Milwaukee and Bosch, and they like the PC too. I will say PC it a step below the Milwaukee and Bosch, but I keep buying more PC 20 volt tools because they all use the same batteries.
Porter Cable is good, but not great.
See it cheap on sale some time, buy it. Otherwise, dont go out of your way or anything to get it.
You're going to find a broken wire to the brushes that's causing the problem for you. I've repaired two of them so far and have had the same problem with them.
Porter Cable is just as good as DeWalt! Anyone who thinks different is a buffoon!
Porter cable makes great tools, and anyone who says they don’t doesn’t know what they’re talking about. The problem with so many people who own these as they miss use them. Their impact driver is not an impact wrench. It is not made to remove Lugnuts or tear an engine down. It’s made to drive wood screws and large wood legs into wood, it is a carpentry and woodworkers tool not a mechanics tool. Sad and sorry for the rest of us that people miss use them, and then whine to the manufactures because they break so the manufacture does not put longer warranties on their products because of clowns who don’t know that they’re holding an impact, driver, and not an impact wrench. I believe that there are people in this world, who when they walk into a home improvement store, like Lowe’s, or Menards or Home Depot, a large cage should drop over the tool section to keep them from buying them….😊
I agree with you 100%!. I have the little impact driver for my wood projects and a Porter Cable mechanics impact driver for lug nuts, bolts, etc...great tool!
You just want dealt
If you're willing to get rid of them, by now, I'll take them off your hands
DeWalt sux!
Nope
