    Si is the ENTPs inferior function. We use it sparingly if ever. I feel like things like exercising helps too. Really nice video.

    i totally agree because ive been developing this last function and i didnt even know it was attached to the shadow but ive been doing a lot of shadow work to uncover why i stay in the same patterns and focusing on the present moment has been they key to me performing better in stress and nonstress situations.

      They see us through our ne and fe. We deal with the outside world using emotions and intuition. That means we're prone to behavioral change. Our ti and si functions anchor us and give us mental organizational structure that helps to regulate this while still leaving us flexible. Therefore we might see ourselves as a bit more consistent than others do.

    I havent used my 4th function much but i have developed my 3rd function a lot. For example when my friends would vent i use to just try to give them solutions and ideas but now i just let them vent first and listen to them using my fe. after they are done venting then i give my ne ti advice.

    As far as I recall the inferior function is sort of gateway to happiness in theory, you came to this out of your observations, nice ;p yep it helps dominant function

    "Have a Great... LIFE!" You really won me on that beautiful (NeFe) last surprise phrase! As a 'mature' ENTP (yep, it's an oxymoron) I gained some, not tooo much, control and access over Si along the decades (not years), despite finding meditation boring, I ritually smoke four scheduled cigarettes per day (it also helps Si). By now, I'm really interested in accessing (and not be possessed by) all the shadow functions, as suggested by John Beebe's 8 functions theory. My modest (every goal is modest for ENTPs) aim is to self-assess me as xXXx type, or the totally versatile type (!!!). Your hints about Si practices was awesome. I'll use your advice to tackle that boring procrastinated task. Hope to hear more of you soon. Sorry for all the parenthesis. Thanks!

    Hi Shyla thanks for the video, I'm currently trying to strengthen my Si and J.. I'm a heavy N and P.. I currently practice meditation (2-3x daily), breath work exercises, cold showers, and hard workouts.. i like how u suggest poetry, writing.. Are there any other exercises? How about in social situations, I hate when I go blank or don't have a witty retort/response back.. or if i get caught off guard by an sneak diss. For J, I'm just practicing discipline through philosophy.
