despite the bad reviews that Tin Machine often gets, you gotta give David credit for foreshadowing the "real" rock/back to basics approach of the early 90s, already in 1988-89
Tin Machine along with Living Colour, the Cult, BadLands and Guns n Roses started changing the landscape of rock during this time. Those 5 bands saw the future.
If tin machine was released by any band in NY during 80's it would be praised for being a mind-blowing punk rock noisy album but for some reason people criticism it too much for ''doesn't sounds like Bowie'' bullshit
Gone to soon Bowie and palmer were the best dressed in rock such much class from Ziggy to the thin white duke tin machine he encompassed every genre he delved into
Walls are tumbling down secrets are.... chared!! This sentence is what i think is very important at the moment. Because i have got visions and ideas that i never could know , therefore again and again i tell you it's time .Your visions get real and more also some of movies. See the conection and understand, that it is now. With love A
Bowie and Iggy are very intertwined. "China Girl" was written by Bowie for Iggy's album "The Idiot" long before he recorded it himself. Listen to Iggy's version sometime--much more raw like this. Hunt and Tony Sales were part of Iggy's band back then, which also explains the sound.
Super weird too, because Tony Sales was famous for playing high-end bespoke boutique basses. But, Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth played one of these (as you may know) so, maybe it was good enough for Tin Machine.
Was lucky to see TM quite a few times, brilliant and you had to be there to feed of it, to hell with those who don’t get it😆
Damn straight 🙌

I saw him a month before this in Detroit! God love David Bowie!!
Someone's on fire here...:-) Glad to see he's not bored!
I warped this cassette in my car. The whole album is mind blowing. I can't find it on cd.

Tin Machine was a Scary Monster Criminally ignored and underrated and misunderstood by the press and Super Creeps

In fact he's so pumped with adrenaline he can hardly walk straight towards the end! Good one, David!
He was listening to The Pixies and Sonic Youth and was loving it and felt like making the music like that. he felt like only way was to be in a band
Wow, much better than the studio version.

Gurgis Jones
Kevin Armstrong who played guitar in Bowie’s Live Aid band. Excellent guitarist.

Politically it was sadly prophetic about American politics.

Great band, great music though.

Would have been great Mod grunge, just needed a better engineer/producer
