@mirania7522 For podcasts, I like to listen the BBC's Desert Island Discs but you gotta go back in the archives to see when they get musicians as the guests. That's the closest, I think. Here on UA-cam, I watch Rick Beato. Sometimes, he has big names as guests. I found some of Stewart Copeland's videos really interesting. Sometimes, the Professor of Rock. I guess musicians, recording artistes want to just do music, not talk so much, I guess.
@@Barry-gi7hr Saw the Pretenders, the Ramones, Sonic Youth and Motorhead in the 1990's and they were all good. Would still pay to see Chrissie today. I missed Nirvana because Kurt was due to play and then shot himself so what can you do.

And she knows how to put together great bands(although nobody for my money will ever top Jimmy Scott(who's licks they still use).

Chrissie Hynde is amazing at 71, sounds just like when I saw the Pretenders in LA Sept 1981! This was a great line up for this song, one of my favorites Tattoo Love Boy! Gotta love Johnny Marr 😊

Legend, his enthusiasm is an infectious commodity. Still playing the boy adoring his heroes when he’s everybody else’s hero. Iconic setup, Dave, Chrissie and Johnny tearing the house down
This was a stupendous version of a song I love, sheer brilliance from the whole band, a joy to hear it brought to life again .They should've been headliners, Chrissie looks and sounds amazing - still at the top of her game and they have a great back catalogue
I think the glitch was because he was supposed to be cued back in by Chrissie’s guitar but her guitar wasn’t coming through his monitor. That’s what he seems to be gesturing and it looks like Marr is realizing it too for that one instant before they pull it back together.
Yet another great collaboration with Dave. He’s just amazing ! And Chrissie looks great for her age, jamming along like she did in the 80s. An excellent concert clip of the 2 of them with the other guys hauling ass on guitar. Would loved to have been there.
Saw these guys, once in Detroit and again in my college town, with original bandmembers. And here some of them are, FUN as ever!!! Chrissie Hynde was my heroine for the punk gen. Still a total badass. And that drunk guy is alright too...
Everyone talks about Johnny Marr, hardly anybody mentions James Walbourne, he is one hell of a guitarist, just watch him play on Thumberlina !!!! If you watched the whole of the set at Glastonbury then you will see that he blows everybody else away.
This tiny movement in the beat is so tricky!! One miss and it falls apart. Mister Grohl just killed it! What a great musician. And Chrissie Hynde, what's to say! My rock idol! The first 2 Pretenders albums carved my musical life! Great show at Glasto 23!✨✨✨✨
Well said. It's a lot trickier than it sounds. Such a driving beat! The maracas in tempo are also key to keeping it afloat. The original recording guitar lick and key sounds oddly and not unlike a steel drum. Works perfectly.
Gives you an idea of how furiously tight and powerful the original band were. They would crush this song with 4 players. Here you have 6 and Johnny Marr is one of them. Truly legendary early 1979 to early 1981.
James walbourne the guitarist for the pretenders has an insane band called His Lordship. Well worth going to one of their gigs if you see one coming to your town. Hidden gem of a band

Yes indeed--she is such a bada$$!
YES. She sounds and looks GREAT....
Completely agree.
Yep she's wow ♥️
She's Chrissie not Christie. As in who the f is Christie 😂😂😂

Remarkable, isn't it? She defies aging.
It does

Amazing!
Certainly a lot better than Debbie Harry
Dave is like a little kid when he plays....all joy and no pretense! Hats off to The Pretenders....still going strong!
Dave Grohl must be the ultimate music enthusiast. He turns up everywhere! Love it. What a legend he is.
All the tragedy he's endured But his love of Rock 🤘 and Roll is alive and well ..
His positivity is infectious. And he’s so personable. Would love to have him host a documentary or podcast series. Would watch/listen to that.
Has a very blessed and tragic life, glad he hasn’t let it break him 🤘.
