unitcaptain11 I don't think it would have held together much longer anyway. Bowie, despite his participation in the group, was a fierce individualist and was really looking for a spark to reignite his solo career which had run amok in the mid to late 80's after the success of the Let's Dance album and the release of its underwhelming follow ups, Tonight and Never Let Me Down, which were panned by many critics and disappointed much of his fan base. He had often referred to this period as the nadir of his career. When reflecting on his time in Tin Machine, Bowie said, "I look back on the Tin Machine years with great fondness. They charged me up. I can't tell you how much. Reeves shook me out of my doldrums, pointed me at some kind of light--said, 'Be adventurous again.' I've been finding my voice, and a certain authority, ever since." (Uncut magazine) Needless to say, Tin Machine was a turning point for Bowie that ironically helped reshape his music, get his career back on track, and make him relevant again. It was a vehicle for him to explore an edgier form of songwriting and music that had an enormous impact on his body of work in the latter part of his career from the early 90's until his death in 2016.
This guitarist is way under-rated. He is never shown playing leads but instead you have Bowie looking at him. I think as good as Bowie was, he didn't want to be upstaged by the guitarist. This is what happens in most bands.
OUTSTANDING!!! Absolute Monster players just Killing it!!! UFB, and the mainstream was listening Nirvana unfortunately, with a tune ripped off from Killing Joke.. Hunt Sales is Lord of the skin bashers just driving the band into a maniac frenzy of domination of the airwaves!! Thank you for the post,,, Much Appreciation!!!! (>‿◠)✌
he never looked the same in these raw club stuff as the polished in the major tours etc love this
Bowie was soo punk, and Tin Machine was way ahead of their time.
1:13 Bowie dodging like a pro
Lol that was close
One of my fave bands ever. A fave song too.
Come back baby I wish you would!
Sadly this would be the last song I heard him sing live
His Energy!
Simply superb.

Genius
Bowie always got your attention I also love Panic in Detroit I think it's one of his scariest songs.
The Sales bros. on smack... They still rock like hell here..
+blica1 Was it both of them on it? I know Bowie said drugs ended the band. From the looks of him, I thought it was just Hunt.

''Great words from Mr Jones''
"Racism back in rule". From 1991 to 2016. Sad times.
Since 2016 it's gained massive momentum.
Where you living??
and even more than ever!
What Bowie had to say in 1989 is even more real now as racism and supremacy are running rampant again.
The line "fascist flair is fashion cool" has turned out to be all to prophetic.
1. He does whatever he wants
2. How many pickups are there on that guitar?
Song is more apt today than ever….
sick good with a fever...hope I never get cured....
Was that at the Docks?
Yeah ist
How prophetic they were..: #maga etc
didn't know the Joker, sans makeup, played the skins.....
banks, lab, kava, CSA, IRAS, USDA
So relevant now...
