It is always very nice to hear Mark Farner, especially because after so many years, having known him through his music from some 10 GFR records that I still keep to date since the 70's, I finally was privileged to wacht his live performance last April, 23rd, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
    God bless you, Captain!

Seeing that Messenger sit back there and knowing THAT’S the one … I stood in front of Mark in Canton Ohio 69 and Cleveland in 70 watching him play that guitar.. which belongs in a Museum but unfortunately I don’t like the Rock Hall .. but that’s where it should go in perpetuity.. mark your music helped me through my early teens.. Nothing is The Same really hit me.. God Bless You , my main man.. !

I can vouch for Mark giving an honest performance as he said. He played for my companies Christmas party back in 2007. It was a big company and very crowded, but very few people were watching him play amazingly enough. But he played as if he was playing to a packed Arena. A total professional.

Richie Valens family did an on line petition and gathered enough signatures to get him inducted. it shouldn't have taken that. his music and song writing speaks for itself.instead of the r&r hall of fame ,it should be called the hall of shame.

Mark has a lot of fans by going Nugent light. Grew up in a loyal Grand Funk household. His right wing views have alienated a lot of his fans that were rebels back in the day.

I grew up listening to Grand Funk albums, all albums with Mark Farner. I'm a fan. There is one thing I can't understand. To go hunting and to kill animals for sport or pleasure... This is NOT a Christian attitude, sure NOT. We don't own wild animals and they were not created to be killed for the pleasure!

With respect to you, @laurentwirz2806, I disagree. God's word gives man dominion over the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea. It is certainly not unChristian to harvest animals for food and other purposes. It should be done as humanely as possible, but it is certainly not a bad thing.

    • @laurentwirz2806

I disagree. Life on this planet is dying because of humans not because of the animals and the other creatures on this earth. There is no God who will agree with killing and destruction. NEVER! Forget it. If you mean that we can kill because nature belongs to us, you are WRONG. I repeat...THIS PLANET IS SICK because of HUMANS. Stop killing animals for fun... STOP.

@@laurentwirz2806 Who's killing animals for fun? I just said that there is nothing wrong with harvesting animals humanely for food and other uses such as leather. If you disagree, fine. We will agree to disagree.
