Mark Farner IS and always will be GRAND FUNK RAILROAD.....
Farner has really maintained his voice. Excellent vocals.
Grand Funk Railroad should have been in the Rockin Roll Hall of Fame along time ago !!!!
Mark Farner sounds as good as he did in 1971. GREAT, strong voice. The song sounded like the 1971 recording. Wow, most older bands do not sound like they did in the beginning but Grand Funk does. The bass sounded sweet too. GREAT job Mark!!! Thank you.
A living Legend. The rock hall should be ashamed
HE WAS GRAND FUNK.....love this song
🔊🎵Winger nailed Mel Schacher's bass lines🔊🎼
I went from a boy to a man listening to this group. They are in my top ten favorite bands ever.
That was awesome. Mark is ageless. Love seeing Kip Winger on base.
Is this one of the greatest songs ever or what? Love it! Mark Farner is a genius rocker whether with or without Grand Funk Railroad.
Cant hear this song without thinking of my old man. Pop was a two tour Navy UDT 'Nam Vet. Many nights hanging at our local tavern , Wings, Drinks and music.....THIS was the song he always wanted to hear....Gone 5 years this coming May....Love and Miss you Dad, always, cheers!
Mark is still one of the best ever!!
Less hair years older, he’s still terrific, they were great in ‘71 and still today!
One of my all time favorite songs.. his voice has held up well
You know you had a really good band when it takes 6 guys to recreate what 3 guys created originally.
That was great! No Farner...No Funk! Thanks Howard
When I look back, I realize how much Mark Farner and Don Brewer's harmonizing was steeped in Soul music!
Love it when live performances are just like the original recording! And 40 plus years later. Awesome
seeing this after 50 yrs ago listening to this,, amazing
Dam Mark...that was pretty incredible to be able to mirror that after this much time has passed...spot on.
Sounds AMAZING! One of the greatest rock songs of all time! An era when music really had meaning. It makes you realize just how HORRIBLE the music of today is.
Glad to see Mr Farner looking so healthy and into it. Also glad to hear he was not cheated out of royalties for that back catalogue.
Mark still sounding as great as ever, vocally..& still so handsome & sweet 🙂🙂💗💗
I LOVE YOU MARK AND I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU MAN!
This Dude still sounds 🔥
The Grand Funk All-Starr band here with Farner backed by Mark Slaughter from Slaughter, Kip Winger from Winger, and Bruce Kulick from KISS.
Damn! Ok, I see it now! Rad!
Wow. That’s nuts.
One a the best Howard song acts.
The drummer is Rod Morgenstein of Winger, & The Dixie Dregs.
@@raymatherne1587 The drummer is Sandy Gennaro of Joan Jett/Cyndi Lauper/The Monkees
Very good souvenir from my youth, i saw Grand Funk Railroad in 1970, at Montreal Forum, i was 18years old.
They made that song sound like a new release !
Mark looks great. Sounds as good as ever. Loved this!! -Stephen, Ohio 🇺🇸
Outstanding
Freaking awesome.
Great ‘live’ version of an awesome song.
The Grand Funk is really Grand here! Great music!
I got into Grand Funk railroad when I was growing up in Newark as a kid and still enjoy the sounds today

Oh man. This makes me want to put a head band on and put flowers in my hair. And maybe some other things .You sound so awesome. Rock on dear sir! 🎵🎶 amazing! Groovy. Peace. ✌️ ☮️🌻
They are in my top ten only because we had so many great bands in the 70's.

the lyrics of this song IS THE EPITOME OF THE WORD M-E-T-A-P-H-O-R !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can see how vietnam veterans can relate to this song ALONG WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN IN PRISON FOR A CRIME THEY DID NOT DO WHO THEN ARE FINALLY SET FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,,what soul, heart, and pASSION IN MARK FARNER'S VOCALS!!!!!!!!!!
Great band. Props to Slaughter for picking up Brewer's harmony part exceptionally well.
!! awesome PERFORMANCE the entire band, !!
This is a timeless classic which really should be translated in other languages. Listen to it. The lyrics are powerful.

Is that Kip Winger on bass, Bruce Kulick and Mark Slaughter on guitar?
Amazing song with an amzing group of musicians!
#1song of all time!
So good! just amazing performance.
I got to see them live 2 times, and there live performances are second to none.
Agree.
Mark slaughter in there with winger is pretty damn cool too! They played with a legend there
Wow, is that Bruce Kullick?? So Mark basically played the song with the guitarist who 'replaced' him in current Grand Funk Railroad band lol 😂 And Bruce even played the acoustic guitar riff with Mark gave a shout.
Just a prove how cool Mark Farner is, I believe he had no issue let alone objection about that. Thinking about Blackmore's Night invited to this studio playing a Purple song with Steve Morse as the 2nd guitarist.
Looking good - sounding good
Just heard this on Sterntholgy today. Such an awesome song
Wow ! That drummer used to play with Pat travers
Jackie looks great these days!
Probably because this was 14 years ago lol
big smiles man...
Grand Funk Railroad fans, I always believed Mark was Native-American!
Sinceramente admiro mucho a este señor, desde la primera vez que oí sus canciones. Ojalá puedan subir más videos con esta calidad. Gracias!!! One more time!!! 😊😊😊🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Maximum respect to Howard Stern 👍
Wow ! These guys don't age...look fantastic...they're timeless! This is such a great memory! They sound tight!

Bad management ruined a lot of great bands for years.
Is that Bruce Kulick on the the acoustic guitar?
Damn I’m feeling old now
Is that Mark Slaughter on his right backing vocal and Rhythm guitar? Looks like him..

Kip on bass.Is that Michael Slaughter on back vocal? Not bad at all.
Hey Captain Jack Sparrow, this one is for you Mate! ✌️❤️🚐😎🎸🎸🎸🥁🥁🥁🥰🎶💕🎶🎵🌴🌴🌴
Love GFR ,but didn't Mark "find jezus" along the road, and became a minister in a very closed community? Just wondering as I live across the sea! 😊
Looks like Jackie. But waaaayyyy more talented.
