2:28-2:34 phenomenal acting by peter capaldi. The realization and horror on his face...... John Barrowman as well. His cold dead look knowing what he did....what he had to do.
I saw a theory that John might be a descendant of the family that the doctor saved in the fires of Pompeii and the reason johns family died is because it is the universe correcting itself
One weird thing I kept on remembering when I last watched Children of Earth is that Capaldi's character has the same name as a shape shifting Penguin that travelled with the 6th Doctor in Big Finish. Something else weird I found out about this story is that one of the original 12 ended up being revealed to be a time agent that THE 11TH DOCTOR deaged and sent back in time there.
One wonders why they'd think of the Earth as "insignificant" if it's also under the known protection of the Doctor. Though of course, one wonders why the Doctor didn't intervene in this case. Or more specifically, why the Tardis didn't steer the Doctor to this point in space-time the way it usually does when the Doctor's presence is needed.
That's one critique of most spin-offs. Why didn't the bigger, more powerful, OG cast take care of this big event that should have their attention? Marvel shows, DC shows, Doctor Who/ Torchwood. Like the scale of the problem doesn't always match the (informal) rank of who answers the call. So, yeah, you have a point.
@@TheRealUnkn0wn_289 probably but he clearly didn't come to save the day So we're just trying to think of reasons why Because even the doctor can't do everything and he's sacrificed so much that he didn't have the guts to sacrifice a child
Jack has learn a lot, because he suffer a lot too...He make desisions but he knows that mybe some of that desisions are hard for him to decide, but he have to do it and that is why I think jack is the best
With the doctor who lockdown watchalongs ending, would be cool if someone arranged a watched along for Children of Earth. Every watches it again 1 episode a day.
He gave that definition as a clarification of his previous request for “children” to assure that the translator wasn’t broken. Within that context it is less vague.

That wasn’t a cold dead look, it was a look of absolute guilt. Children died horrific deaths, and it was his fault.
this is where we see a really dark side to jack
He didn’t have a choice tho ?
Rob i mean jack basically killed them children
@@Chris-sh2ce there's always a choice
Russell T Davies really knows how to write characters.
This is the best season of this show hands down
He sure did here! I was absolutely spoiled by Children of Earth, and the 15th Doctor's first season felt so limp to me, in comparison

Not a theory RTD confirmed it himself
@@NOVA0335 WHAT
RTD tweeted about it
omg wait I thought you said Jack i-
Where did he say it i can’t find it!! Omgg

Me watches
Clint - HES coming
Jack-walks in
Clint-that’s him
Me- no no no no no no no
Prepare the tissues for the next episode!
Aw noo we're getting closer...
You know what I don’t understand they use a dark, creepy voice to talk to humans, when they only take children, what child has that deep voice
The voice was that of the translator I believe
intimidation...

Probably because the Tardis knew the Doctor would have to sacrifice a kid and that Jack is more suitable for the job
@@lordferbus2970 But they didn't have to and wouldn't the doctor have just found another way out and to stop it

The best Torchwood season ever.👏🏾

Imagine the first doctor up against the 456
He wouldn't he would just let history play out
Imagine seventh doctor against 456, he’d kill the 456 and kidnap all their offspring and use them as a “hit” to prove a point lol
The darkest moment ever
Realising we're getting closer and closer to Day 4...
We all know who Peter Capaldi would go on to play later on!
This is wild Capaldi was in torchwood?
Hello have a nice day
Thank you very much, you too!
Thx u too
Lovely comment, thank you fellow human
It’s a bit vague. Technically every single person is a descendant or another human. So 10% of the children could be 10% of the human race
He specified "offspring".

A gift?

Why jake
Peter capaldi was in torchwood
Oh really? I had no idea. Thanks for telling us.
