How to Throw Muay Thai SPEED Kicks (Same Leg Repeat)

  • Whether you were inspired by Saenchai, or just want to train like the fighters in Thailand, you're watching this video because you want to throw fast round kicks in repetition with the same leg. The 3 tips I have for this are:
    1. Have a balanced pivot point (ball of the foot)
    2. Don't hinge too much at the joints (ankle, knee, & hip)
    3. Assist by swinging your arms

    Man, i am speechless. I have to thank you for this awesome explanation! I always wonder about why I have still troubles with this kick. We learned this with "jumping" a litte bit from the ground or the teacher told us shit about four years. I tried it out now on both sides with slow motion first and then as it stated to feel more comfortable a little bit faster. It works perfectly now!!!!! Thank you very much Instructor!

    Hello! Thanks for the video! any advice on pre-and-post exercises/stretches for having a stiff neck, upperback and having rolled-forward shoulders ? Thanks!

    • @StuntDill
      @StuntDill 5 років тому +1

      Your lats will pull your shoulders forward and down. Your chest pulls your shoulders inwards towards the centre of your body.
      The best way to fix posture is to have good posture as often as possible throughout the day. Normally the only. Imbalances people have are their middle and lower traps and rhomboids and rear delts may need work.
      Other than that is incredibly habit forming from that point.

    I think one’s time would be better spent doing fight specific drills. You want to be training specific techniques to set your opponent up using feints and fakes, as well as training defense. None of that is being done in this exercise. It might have some benefit as a conditioning tool or for the development of speed, but one can get that from doing fight specific drills. How are you helping yourself in a fight kicking the guy in the same place with the same leg with your hands down? That certainly is not an effective strategy.

    • @fighttips
      @fighttips  5 років тому +4

      Hey man! Yeah, kinda hard without seeing how you throw it. Are you warming up before hand and stretching afterwards? Try slowing it down, and throw the kick in slow motion. If there is any point that agitates your hip, that could identify the problem. Otherwise it sounds like a mobility issue, to which I'd advice foam rolling and stretching. Try taking a tennis or lacrosse ball and rolling out your butt/hip/low back. Hope this helps 👍

    Are coaches and trainers necessary even if you are good boxer? Can I just join gym without any coaches and become a heavyweight champion cause i am in a low budget

      punit choudhary Sorry to say friend but the likely hood of you ever becoming a champion with pure will power and self training is.. very low and usually the stuff of movies. Not to say you couldn’t become efficient in defending yourself or becoming quick and precise in striking. I mean, the creators of martial arts from thousands of years ago made this shit up as the went along. But in terms of modern day hand to hand combat professionally? It doesn’t work. You need a trainer. But there are plenty of low budget gyms with trainers out there, willing to teach you the basics of anything you want. Or of course, online training. Making friends in the MMA community also helps. Then you can start training and learning from your friends, in essence, for free. Using their training and experience to help build on your own. I started very young and with what little budget my mother had, and I now volunteer to teach at my buddies gym. Because of my unofficial certificates in form fighting, like karate, and my age, 18, I only teach younger children. But I love it nonetheless.

      @@JeremiahWatkins-zv8bn So can you tell me what job should i do till i become boxer? I will start with almost no money, maybe I will separate from my family for boxing, I know it's not an good idea but anything for dream.How much will it cost with all trainers? tell me a job suitable with boxing and which would not be stressful, and actually i am very educated and i always get 90 % and above in all exams, so should i take an 9-5 job or will it be stressful? i know it depends upon the job but maybe 9-5 job will be much time consuming and it will become worse if I trained for boxing too right? And I am 15 by the way.

      Punit Choudhary Well, I dont think any dream should pull you away from your family. They’re not only a financial support but also an important emotional outlet as well. I had dreams of becoming a professional fighter when I was younger too, but I advice you to do a little more research into the life of professional fighters. It’s not just about training. it’s about proper diet, proper health, etc. I’m a med student and I work as a waiter making about $25/hr on a good day. I think at 15-16 you should be looking for jobs like waiting tables, but look at busy restaurants in your home town. More people equals more work but it also means more tips which means more money. My buddy I mentioned is a 3rd degree black belt in karate as well as a black belt in Taekwondo and a brown belt in jiu-jitsu. I believe he does private sessions for about 25 an hour. That’s what most gyms will do, in my town that is, that are good reputable and quality gyms. But I seriously suggest you consider your education and family before you choose fighting as your future source of income. Never fail at following your dreams but also balance the consequences. Pros and cons to each. Balancing a job, school, and also a social life while training is hard but it’s doable, for me at least. But I will also prioritize my job, family, and education over martial arts.
