      @@devitomichael a pivot on the rear foot is involved or as Shane shows in this video, a step to the side will also work as it decreases how much you have to open the hips.

      you have to switch your stance before you throw it, some call it a switch kick. if you're southpaw, quickly shuffle your feet into conventional stance and throw it as a regular right round house kick and then land into your original southpaw stance. DO NOT try to throw front leg roundhouse kicks without switching stance first because it will have no power and those are called flick kicks ( I think )

    • @vitorbueno4301

      It will have power if you are moving backwards. Not that much of power, but sometimes it is a useful move.

    You have to develop the flexibility of the hip to be able to rotate, otherwise "just trying it" will injure your knee of the supporting leg. Even more so if it feels weird and you keep kicking without the awareness, thinking it's normal. I've treated so many people with that issue. I wish you would have mentioned this and warned people on how they should practice it, instead of saying "rotate" period. I would have less work but there'd be less injured practitioners and I can always charge more for the hopefully very few that get injured.

    Nice tips, I've just started attending Muay Thai training and when I try to kick with my right leg and turn the left foot I loose balance very easily and I can't pull back my right leg after the kick to it's original position, I just kind of fall into the other persons arms basically. Any tips on how to master that? Thanks

    • @trapeshkazg9616
      @trapeshkazg9616 2 роки тому +1

      Turn your left foot when you're kicking with your right leg. It is very important to move your foots on the ground when you're kicking. Turn your left foot when you're kicking with the right leg,and turn your right foot on the ground when you're kicking with your left leg. I guess this might help. 🦵🏻😉
