It's extremely valid point that who is already working in Canada on 0,1,2,3 category job still need job offer to get 50 points in CEC under express entry. This does not make any sense. This increase the exploitation employer/ consultant asking $15000 to $50000 or more in province like British Columbia

Thank you Vishal for watching this and commenting! The exploitation is rampant, especially due to the increasing favourability of an LMIA for achieving PR. I do hope IRCC takes these considerations seriously. 50 pts of arranged employment should serve as an indicator of the applicant having worked for a year and showing the job is in fact genuine. The arranged employment gives more points than a year of skilled work experience in Canada. This needs to change if IRCC wants to help transition already in Canada applicants and to support the ones based on their work, and not on their ability to pay.

Hi Steve thanks for ur efforts I just want to know weather govt or ircc will extend the workpermits are expiring in 2023 ? For another 18 months. What are your thoughts n predections?

I would argue that IRCC is exceptionally tough to predict, especially a post-COVID IRCC. However, they have acknowledged that one of their key priorities is to manage labour shortages and PGWP is one of the fastest, most effective ways IMO for them to keep people in Canada working. Nobody really anticipated the removal of part time work restriction on study permits so nobody can really predict. For the ones with expiry in 2023, IRCC may choose to make them sweat until end of March, as before then, any PGWP would likely be eligible for restoration of status period (90 days since expiry). If I was on PGWP, I think continuing to pressure IRCC and the Minister is the right approach and continuing to search for genuine LMIA support in the meantime.
