      Yes you do. The employer must submit an Offer of Employment either through the Employer Portal or using the Alternate Submission method (if authorized by IRCC Employer Portal) IMM 5802. They must pay the $230 compliance fee as well.

    Yes I’m interested.
    I don’t have a CRA business number as I have not established business yet . That will be done after we get WP and then go there and start some business. This time O received letter of support and approval letter from SINP as SINP ENTREPRENEUR WORK PERMIT SUPPORT LETTER to apply for Temp Work Permit.
    They stated to IRCC :
    We recommend that a TWP be issued for the period of two years pursuant to Reg 205(a) C11 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).
    Now I’m confused since 20 days how to apply for TWP ? Whether to register employer portal or simple GCkey Account will work .
    Thanx for you help . Please guide

    Hi there, thanks for the info, this is exactly what I am working on at the moment. I'm wondering if you've had any subscribers or viewers mention technical issues with this portal. I am having major issues with it, once I log into my account it is missing all of the functions to proceed with the job offer, it doesn't look the same as your account. I have tried clearing my cache, using a different search engine, creating a second account and now I have my organizations IT department looking into it. Unfortunately the help page and contact page is not proving any assistance.

      @sjpimmigration  2 місяці тому

      Hi Jenna. I have experienced those technical issues myself first hand. It's very user unfriendly. This is why I really try to meet with employers to assist in this process. Some common mistakes people make: 1) Using the same GCKey for other government portals (this is the employer portal, and requires a different GC Key to be created as a representative of the company.) 2) After creating the GC Key, it sometimes kicks you back out to IRCC's homepage. Employers have made the mistake of logging into their newly created GC Key, as if they are an immigrant then, and tie this new GC Key to the IRCC Secure Account (totally different than employer portal). I would bet you are enrolled in the IRCC Secure Account, not the Employer Portal found here: www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/partners-service-providers/employer-portal.html.
      After creating the GC Key, and setting up all the MFA and PVQ, you are asked which portal you'd like to enrol in 1) Authorized Rep 2) DLI 3) Employer Portal. You should select employer portal. If you've already done this and enrolled, make sure you are logging in at the right portal (www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/partners-service-providers/employer-portal.html) not the IRCC Secure Account. You may have to repeatedly clear the cache, revoke the GC Key from the IRCC Secure account, use an incognito window with Chrome, or another browser. Just remember, always be visiting the employer portal link, and whenever it kicks you back out to IRCC homepage, just go right back to the employer portal homepage: www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/partners-service-providers/employer-portal.html
      You can email the employer portal if you've enrolled, and now lost the ability to access the employer portal. They respond within 5 days, and can assist from there.

      You need your employer to register for the employer portal using this video. They need to go through this process. It is employer driven. Then, once they complete this process they get the Axxxxxxx employer offer number you put in your IMM 1295 form as LMIA exempt work permit. Then you apply for your work permits through your GC key.

      If the employee is requesting an “offer of employment number” because they want to apply for a work permit extension, as they may be on an open work permit, then yes, the employer compliance fee is required. There are some scenarios (very limited) in which it’s exempted www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-temporary-foreign/find-need-labour-market-impact-assessment/employer-compliance-exemptions.html#

      @@dangaya87 if you are nominated and have applied for PR, and received a file number, you can apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit, so as to not have to rely on your employer for anything else.
      Otherwise, you will have to get your employer to go through this process, get your LMIA exempt offer number, and submit your closed WP application. Also, I’m not certain right now about OINP, but you probably also need a letter of support from province to apply for work permit in most circumstances to my understanding R204(c) letter of support as well. It’s common for PNP applicants

But i came to know the fee refunded to my employer so i request my employer to give me new employment number and fee and sent through webform now my concern is is this acceptable coz i am worried the new number might not match to my application…Please please please reply if you know 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    • @sjpimmigration
      @sjpimmigration  2 місяці тому

      Yes, whenever the work permit is refused, a new offer needs to be submitted. If it was refunded to your employer, that's an indicator that it would need to be resubmitted. So, good on you for resubmitting that offer with your employer again. Your employer can login and see the status of offers submitted (matched, or refunded, or submitted etc). You always need a letter of support, offer of employment, and submit proof of your nomination in this case. The new LMIA-exempt number should have been used on your application to restore your work status, but I hope the officer will see the webform request and understand that, and accept that new information to manually match and approve your work permit. Call IRCC and confirm they have received your webform, unless you received email confirmation. They have the authority to refuse it as it wasn't complete application technically when it was submitted (with old offer). When reviewing your application, they will see that a webform has been submitted. It's their discretion. Restoration applications can be decided on fairly quickly, so let me know if they do approve it soon.

    • @sjpimmigration
      @sjpimmigration  9 місяців тому

      If you subsequently apply with that number for a work permit, yes you will also get a closed work permit, but it will not nullify or cancel your open work permit. Additionally, there may be some LMIA exemptions that can result in an open work permit, such as pending changes to startup visa, but in most cases, it is employer, specific, location, and occupation specific. If you’re attempting to use it for arranged employment, you must have been working for that employer listed on the newly issued closed work permit for at least one year. Please see the guidance on what constitutes arranged employment.

      That is the answer and the only option. Email the employer portal. If they can’t help your employer regain access, the only other option is to email them and wait 5 days to get the IMM 5802, if they allow it. Employer portal accounts are locked to the CRA business number, so unless your employer wants to change their business number, or you want to risk submitting your WP applications without the A number and beg the officer to accept it at a later date by webform, you have no other option.
